Miserable. Greasy. Terrible service. These are the nicest words I have to describe this horrific place.

Very good. I recommend ! Cute atmosphere and great food. The night we were there had a Spanish guitar musician which made it that much more enjoyable. Good selection of teas.

This place has made our trip. We will definitely be back one more time for the sangria! The service was fantastic and they knew exactly what we were looking for in tapas. I can’t wait to try other menu options next time!

El salterio es un sitio peculiar, muy pequeño que de vez en cuando hay actuaciones de música en directo.
Pude degustar el humus y unos sardos estupendos.
El servicio fue rápido y amable a pesar de que el restaurante estaba llenísimo y se respiraba un ambiente de estrés. La decoración muy acogedora y marroquina.
Quiero volver a probar sus té porque tiene pinta de ser excelente.

We found by accident but this is our favorite spot in Barcelona. Sardo Classico was amazing. We bumped into a fun group from Britain and enjoyed a great, fun evening. Sangria was delicious. Food and drinks are prepared by hand. Small, cozy out of the way spot. Crowded but staff is friendly and accommodating.

En pleno Gótico, muy pequeño pero bien ambientado, curioso y hasta arriba. Para desayunar. diferentes tipos té e infusiones, dulces marroquíes de miel. Han ampliado la carta más halla de esa especie de pizza árabe, los sardos vegetarianos de diferentes tipos, muy ricos.

comer aquí que sepa usted que es comer con calma, cocinan y sirven con mucha tranquilidad y eso me gusta. los productos que llevan los sardos se cortan al momento, se prepara al momento y a la vista, y están muy buenos! el sardo dulce no está mal, el bionade éste es una bebida curiosa, la carta tiene una gran cantidad de te e infusiones, también tienen desayunos, el local pequeño de logística complicada pero muy entrañable que te transporta sin lugar a dudas a Arabia.

Fun, but tiny, spot that serves an awesome made to order sangria.
Not sure if there is AC here, but it was blistery when we went. Really nice owners and it looked like 3 people did all the cooking and serving here. The guy behind the bar/​kitchen had a great rhythm to everything he did, especially when making our sangria. In California we were used to pre-​made batches of sangria, so seeing it made to order was a treat. To make a long review short, that sangria disappeared way to fast and was way too easy to drink.

¿Alguna vez has visto el azúcar de caña sin procesar? Su movimiento es hipnótico y seductor, tanto como este local.
Hay mucha gente que dice que le gusta el té, y se compra Hornimans… Hay gente que se considera apasionada del té, y lo compra a granel… Y luego hay gente que simplemente sabe que todo eso son solo productos de consumo masivo, y que el verdadero té exige amor y cariño, y van a locales de este estilo.
Aquí los conocen de todas las variedades, saben los procedimientos, y depende de como lo quieras, lo sabrán preparar y te aconsejarán para que mantenga todo el sabor y no pierda su verdadera esencia.
ANTENCIÓN: es un sitio tranquilo, oscuro, romántico. Ve con tu pareja, con tu amante, con tu libro o con tu mano, pero no armes follón. No vayas ahí a trabajar con tu portatil, se llena mucho, la gente espera, y no es tu sitio de trabajo.
Lo bueno: El sitio tiene una calidez especial (lee los comentarios de Eugenia o Cristina)
Lo malo: Es caro si comparas la cuenta final, pero si lo comparas con lo que te cobra un bar manolo (y no tan manolo) por un té en bolsa del Mercadona, a mi me vale la pena.

I had read online that this was some of the best Sangria in town. They were right. It took awhile because he had to cut all the fruit fresh but it was well worth the wait. I loved the pesto sardo! It was amazing!

Amazing turkish coffee. They heat the pot on the gas stove while making it so the entire room fills up with cardamom and coffee when it’s almost ready.
On top of tea and coffee, I just really love the vibe here. Dimly lit and cozy. Perfect spot to enjoy the company of some of your favorite people. Also great place to people watch. Unlike a lot of coffee shops or tea rooms in the area, they’re also open late so bonus points for that.

Yogui tea is a delicious mulled tea! Great place to stop and recover from all the walking around. The décor and music is very relaxing — would highly recommend a visit.

Excellent little spot to hide from the rain and enjoy a warm drink. They make chai tea from scratch so that was awesome. Overall I’d say it’s a great place to go if you’re in Barcelona for a while and looking for a quaint spot for an afternoon. Or you’re in the old side of town and want some respite from walking and visiting shops and churches.

The best sangria in Barcelona… no contest! And it’s organic. The place is small and authentically quaint. The menu is entirely vegetarian and delicious. The sarda four seasons is a ‘best ever’.the use of olive oil and sesame seeds is really delicious and I wish I could take this place home with me. A great place to lose yourself for a couple of hours in the middle of the afternoon. The music is great and totally chill. A true gem!

Cheezus. Very friendly and cozy place in romantic Gotic. Not the fastest service around, but the north african inspired tortillias was divine!

This is a dark and cozy tea spot tucked into one of the alleys in Barri Gothic. My husband and I showed up here to kill a little time before a tour we had scheduled. Nobody else was in there at the time but the guy running the place, so it must have been an off time. I had white tea (they were out of oolong, sadly) and my husband had a glass of wine. They also had a few snacks on the menu, but we had eaten not too long ago. Everything was quality, and the atmosphere was nice. I’d recommend it.

I had the best sangria of my life here. And it should be the best, I waiting a half an hour for it.
I love the interior of this place. Very rustic. We walked past this place, noticed the stone walls and had to go in! We ordered sangria and tomato bread. Which was excellent by the way.
For some odd reason it took them ages to make our sangria. To the point I thought they forgot about us. But they didn’t. Finally it came and we enjoyed what I think is the best sangria i’ve ever had.

Por alguna extraña razón que les llevó siglos para que nuestra sangría. Hasta el punto que pensé se olvidaron de nosotros. Pero no lo hicieron. Finalmente llegó y disfrutamos de lo que creo que es la mejor sangría que he tenido.

Since arriving to Barcelona we have been here at least 3x. The sarda & sangria is delicious. You can’t go wrong with this place. It is definitely worth the wait!

Klein und versteckt, arabisch-​türkisches Kleinod. Perfekt für die kleine Pause!

Es uno de esos sitios que te invitan a quedarte la mayor cantidad de tiempo posible. El ambiente es tan mágico como se sugiere desde fuera. Tanto la comida como la bebida son de un nivel altísimo y se nota que están preparados con muchísima dedicación (también léase amor). Mi presupuesto no me dejó ir más de un par de veces, ya que si bien los precios no son excesivos, no es un sitio al que se le recomiende ir todos los días a alguien de economía limitada como la mía. Sin embargo, el momento que se pasa ahí, sólo o acompañado, bien vale cada céntimo.

Soy fan de los tés y me recomendaron Salterio como una de las mejores teterías de por aquí.
Me costó bastante encontrarlo, ya que está en una calle bastante pequeñita, pero finalmente pude disfrutar de uno de sus tés.
Estaba bastante lleno, pero por suerte, cuando nosotros llegamos todavía quedaba una mesa y no tuvimos que esperar. Poco después empezó a llenarse y la barra ya estaba llena de gente esperando su turno.
El sitio es muy acogedor, aunque bastante incómodo moverte si quieres ir al baño por la cantidad de sillas y el poco espacio que hay.

Great little tea room & bar, tucked away in an alley. Great tea and drinks in a laid back, tranquil setting.

This is a great little gem hidden in the tiny tiny streets of El Gotico thanks Jamie for bringing us here and I must say that I’m not sure I’ll be able to find it again. :-) The place is small 20 people top and run by a quite old woman from Sahara, if I remember correctly, and my understanding was that everything you eat here is homemade by her. I don’t remember what I had but I remember distinctly that was awesome. Just try something out by yourself or ask, they’ll explain to you (not sure they speak English though). It’s no fast food here, you have to seat down, take your time, enjoy the atmosphere and the delicious food.

Es muy agradable este salón de té. Siempre a rebosar, aunque el sitio es pequeño. Los tés son muy buenos y bien preparados, aunque más vale no ir con prisas ya que aquí todo tiene su tempo (y es más bien bajo). También tienen cosas de comer que no he probado pero las he visto y me han entrado muchas ganas de hacerlo. No es especialmente barato pero con los pocos sitios que hacen buen té…

Hidden in the Barri you may stumble upon this place. Salterio is tucked away in the old swelling brick buildings that make up the Barri. You could quickly walk pass it and not even notice. Luckily for us, we were hunting for a café to have tea at the time and were intrigued by the dim-​lit lights in the cozy space. The café serves Turkish coffee and treats as well as a variety of loose leaf teas, herbal infusions and a few plates of food; one we overheard was crepes. The paper and cloth light fixtures pare well with the old brick wall and low sitting tables and chairs. My friend and myself shared a nice pot of Darjeeling tea. The tea was hot and sweet. Usually I drink coffee, but it was already around 8 o’clock and I didn’t need the caffeine. But our neighbor sitting next to us was poured a cup of Turkish coffee that looked fantastic. In the end, the pot of tea cost us 5 euros, and will an «adeu» we were out the door. I recommend this café if you’re feeling a bit bohemian and want to try something different.

En pleno barrio judío, esta tetería regentada por una mujer argelina que hace las delicias del lugar, te hace sentirte a gusto por diferentes razones: por el calor de sus antiguas paredes de piedra, por la bonita y cálida iluminación, que puedes acompañar con una vela sobre la mesa, por la música ambiental del lugar, por los tés e infusiones que sirven, por los platos vegetarianos que puedes probar… Creo que una de las primeras teterías que recuerdo haber ido en Barcelona. Tiene ese plus de antiguedad y experiecia en el saber hacer. Y para los amantes del Magreb, creo que es un buen lugar para ambientarse.

En el call de Barcelona, actualmente barrio Gótico, de hecho des de finales del siglo XIV, se encuentra escondida la tetería Salterio. Me es imposible recordar quien me lo descubrió por primera vez, supongo que la causa es que el sitio, es un lugar para encontrarse a sí mismo, para purificar el alma. A mí me evoca muy intensamente la cueva de Alí Babá y los cuarenta ladrones, al menos así la imaginaba yo en la escuela, pero ésta guarda tesoros en forma de infusiones.
Sus dueños árabes te prepararan un té con sabiduría, pasión y familiaridad. Cierra los ojos y abre tu corazón.

La verdad que este tipo de sitios, me encantan, me hacen sentir algo así como especial. Yo creo que lo logran porque a la larga son acogedores y no tan llenos de gente. Me gusta que sea íntimo, pequeño donde hay más privacidad y menos blabla, o algo así. Es una tetería que está super escondida en una de las callecitas del Gótico. Quizás pasas por delante y ni te das cuenta. Pero ojos de lince, que todo lo ve, descubrió este sitio y no dudó en entrar. Allí fui varias veces. Un día quedé en plan cita misteriosa para ir a tomar un té. Como ya no tomo café, estos sitios me encantan. Nos sentamos en una mesita del fondo y relajada disfruté de mi té de jazmin, observé la textura de las paredes y me entretuve con las lámparas de colores que adornan desde el techo. Evidentemente me enamoré del sitio y no así de la charla con el chico. Hay una mesa que tiene dos sillas que son de diferente altura, yo me senté en la más bajita pero parecía que estaba en otro nivel. El té me elevó el alma, no lo se. Estaba con otra persectiva en ese momento. Salterio lo siento como cómplice con mi manera de ser. Si vas te encontrarás con una variedad interesante de té. Eso sí, habla despacio. Es un ambiente muy relajado y tranquilo. Te enamorarás del lugar, y no de alguien. Voilà!
