All I can say is that we should’ve just waited a little bit longer for the restaurant across the street. We got a little eager so decided to eat here and it was beyond unsatisfying. The croquettes were particularly oily and bland, and the seafood tapas on the bread was disgusting. They are all pre-made and displayed in an open glass case with flies hanging out in there. So bummed we went there for our first night in Barcelona!

Came here on a business trip with a group of 10! Service by Lazaro was AMAZING! He accommodated all 10 of us and answered our every question! FOODWASSOOOONICE! And on my reviews I always sppreciate good wine selections! Thanks for a great experience I will be back! I am giving 5 stars because service really was that great!!!

Poor service, poor food. Didn’t receive two of our items, were charged for them, and the other dishes were microwaved until luke-warm right in front of us. The food we received was greasy and under-microwaved(cold) and the customer service was weak at best. Why go here when you can get better tapas and better service for the same price two minutes away?

This was our favorite restaurant in Barcelona, and I wish that we had discovered it earlier so that we could have gone at least once more. Don’t get me wrong, the food was great, but the reason this was definitely a five-star experience was because of our server, who gave us – by far – the best service we experienced on our trip to Spain. Unfortunately they weren’t offering a menu – something that I usually look for – but that ended up being okay because the prices of their single plates and montaditos were very reasonable. We felt like we ordered a good amount – six plates plus a plate of bread rubbed with tomato, four glasses of wine, two cappuccinos, and a dessert for a little over 60 euro. I wouldn’t have minded paying more, quite frankly. I really enjoyed the shrimp cooked in garlic and oil(the were flavorful and perfectly cooked), the mushrooms(also cooked in oil), and a montadito with shrimp and shredded crab meat. They offer bread with or without tomato, but it was delicious with the tomato – just the right amount – and we used that to sop up the rest of the shrimpy-garlic oil and soak up the wine. The house wines were really good and reasonably priced, and the dessert – god damn that dessert – was the most memorable one I had throughout my entire trip. Again, I think all of that sounds deserving of five-stars, but I am very grateful to my server(who’s name, unfortunately, has escaped me) who had suggested several of our food/drink options, and had checked on us more times than we had become accustomed to in Spain. He had highly recommended the shrimp, and had steered us away from one dish to the shrimp and crab one, and had suggested a wine to my friend based off of her preferences; and then finally, he had topped it all off by steering us from one dessert and into the loving, chocolatey arms of another. I wish I could tell you his name or the name of the dessert, but all I can tell you is that he had steered us away from the brownie. Anyhoo, this was definitely the best dining experience we had in Barecelona, if not in all of Spain(though to be fair we were only in 5 cities); I would highly recommend this place to any/everyone. Truth be told, even if I go back to Spain, I doubt I would make it a priority to visit Barcelona again; the only reason I could think to would be to visit some more Gaudi work(I only got to see La Pedrera), and to come to this restaurant.

We stopped by for a snack and had some Nice and well priced tapas. Thats all we had so I can’t say much for anything else. But we’d stop there again for a tapas snack.

went here on a Rick Steves recommendation, and was so glad we did! We were looking for a small plates dinner, and this turned out to be the perfect thing. They had all of the tapas on display, which made me really excited to try things! We had wine, and the house wine was quite good. We sat at the bar, and our server was very nice and helpful. Great place to enjoy a meal or for a quick drink and tapas before continuing your evening!

husband + i had a late lunch here on the street level of the bistro where tapas + montaditos may be served, rather than a fancier sit-down restaurant in the upper floor. the wait service was friendly enough(especially the guys behind the counter), though our own waitress was kind of nonexistent. they do provide the english translation of their menus which was fabulous(towards the back of the menus with the catalan version in the front). here were the small dishes for sharing that we had: daus formatge: cheese cubes which were okay + nothing to write home about. montadito solomillo: grilled beef sirloin. my husband had this(not i) yet he said it was pretty good beef. xampinyons saltejats: sauteed mushrooms that were fabulous + tasty! i wondered what they seasoned it with + wish we ordered a second round of this dish. croquetes bacalla: cod croquettes with aioli for dipping. for overall service + the mediocre montaditos(the exception being the sauteed mushrooms), this place gets a solid 3-star rating from me. if i hadn’t had better stateside, i suppose the rating would be higher; but considering this is catalan country, i would have expected better.

Great atmosphere and tapas but the staff did makes us feel invisible and the service was a bit surly when we did get served. Still warrants four stars though for the fab food and wonderful company.

La Tramoia was one of the first places we ate dinner in Barcelona. Conveniently located on Rambla de Catalunya, this place is always busy. We were able to walk in with 8 people and get a table upstairs by the grill without a reservation, but you might want to call ahead. The setting upstairs is more of a sit down fine dining, while downstairs they are known for their tapas bar. The highlights were the grilled peppers, as well as the manchego cheese(which comes in huge slices). The white beans were very delicious as well. The server was incredibly helpful and gave us some recommendations. The house wine was very good too, no need to buy expensive bottles here!

Wide variety of montaditos to offer — some with very weird combos, like brie and codfish, which somehow seemed to work. We sat at the bar and had a few beers — the servers were friendly and fun to talk to. Food was kinda greasy but the vibe of the place was nice. Their crema catalana was yummy.

Y tan a gusto, oye.

Me encantan.
