Super delicious food. Small place with not many tables, get here early to get a spot. We had patatas bravas, chorizo, green peppers and squid. Everything was great, especially the chorizo. Prices are good, the staff is helpful and kind.

Mitten in Barceloneta liegt diese charmante Tapas Bar, die wirklich ausschliesslich Klassiker bietet: Russischer Salat, Spicy Tuna, Patatas Bravas, Chorizo vom Grill, Pimientos de Padron, Pan Tostados, Croquetas, Kutteln.
Darüber hinaus Seafood von der Tageskarte a la Plancha und — der Knaller: Sirloin Steak vom Grill mit Foie Gras (ebensfalls vom Grill) und karamelisierte Zwiebeln. Mit € 22, — kein Schnapp, aber auf alle Fälle mehr als ein Imbiss für 2 Personen und verdammt lecker.
Die Location ist sehr traditionell, wenig touristisch und es wird Bier getrunken, kaum Wein. Es ist busy und wer ein Candle-​Light-​Dinner möchte ist vermutlich enttäuscht. Ab 2100 Uhr ist es schwer einen Platz am Tresen zu bekommen (Tische sieht das Restaurant nicht vor) und man kommt links und rechts schnell ins Gespräch. Ebenso mit den «Barkeepern», die, egal wie voll es ist, freundlich, zuvorkommend und wach sind. Toll, einer meiner Lieblingsplätze in Barcelona.

Fantastic, cozy, loud, entertaining tapas bar (literally it is only a bar) with fantastic food. I travel to Barcelona to have the sirloin with foie gras. You have to try it if you go here. One of the best experiences in Barcelona. Seriously. Go here. Now.

That beef. That delicious, succulent beef.
I came for lunch at 1PM on a Tuesday. No line, lots of seats at the bar, and it seemed like a mild lunchtime crowd. No complaints there.
I proceeded to sit at the bar in front of a man I can only describe as looking like my grandfather (which is a good thing). Off to a great start. To avoid any mistranslated words (and to save on time — I was hungry, OK?) I opted for the English menu.
My order:
1. To drink — beer with fanta (thanks to the poster down there who suggested it). You can ask for «clara con limon.» And no, it’s not orange fanta — it’s lemon-​flavoured which makes it soooo refreshing.
2. To eat — I had the solomillo con pimientos (sirloin/​beef with the pedron peppers). I was tempted to go for the foie but seeing as I was alone and felt like «eating light» (ha!) The peppers seemed like a better choice. And boy, was I right. I had the «un poco» under «a punto» (sorry for buchering the Spanish but I asked for it medium rare). Although they give you these random hacked up pieces it’s actually so much better because each bite-​sized piece gets some sear and is just that — a perfect bite. The peppers are not hot at all though I wish they were, but they come fried and slick with olive oil, perfect to be mopped up by the complimentary bread the provide up front.
I’ll save you the melodrama about how delicious it was, but I wish I came with the rest of my group just so I could try everything else on the menu.

We showed up on a weeknight at around 7pm, and it was packed! This place is really small and narrow to begin with, but with everyone in there, it was hard to find a spot. Expect to stand. The guys behind the counter were very friendly, and they helped us get our food despite the row of people between us and the counter. The beer was fine, nothing to write home about, but the tapas… ohhh! I definitely had a mouthgasm.
The first few things that we ordered were very tasty — the spicy tuna, the padron peppers, and the manchego cheese. The last thing that we got was a surprise — we had tried to order one of their dishes, but they were all out, and so the guy behind the counter recommended their prawns. We were disappointed at first, since it seemed like the prawns would be plain, but I am so VERY glad that he recommended them. The prawns ended up being my favorite dish during our entire stay in Barcelona. They were fresh, cooked with the shell fully on, just on a griddle (I think), but they were cooked to *utter perfection*. The shells slid off easily, and the meat was so tender and juicy. Just think of the most tender and juicy piece of lobster or shrimp that you’ve ever had and know that it was nothing compared to this set of heavenly morsels. I didn’t want to eat anything else for the rest of the evening, just to keep the taste of it fresh on my palate. I’m salivating at the memory…
By all means, check this place out.

Perfection. Come hungry because that sirloin with foie gras isn’t light but man is it delicious. The patatas bravas were the best I’ve been served in all of Spain. Don’t miss the perfect pedron peppers either, they are great with the steak and washed down with a cold beer. They nail it all.

It’s not often I’ve encountered food so good that I would fly back just to eat there. This is that place.
Specifically, their sirloin with foie gras (solomillo con foie) is the best steak I’ve ever had in my life. HOLY CRAP. This fall-​apart juicy sirloin is grilled with bits of charred onion to add caramelized goodness.
The atmosphere is the second-​best part. It’s narrow, crowded with only bar stools to sit on — all facing a spoon-​and-​knife clanging squad of older Spanish men cooking up a storm. It’s truly an experience in local Catalan life.
The staff all yell orders to each other and the patrons are local old men, which changes to tourists later in the night. It’s no-​frills amazing food.
Cooks can speak English only based on what is on the menu, but the menu is in both English and Spanish. Watching them cook is a spectacle within itself, and you’ll find comfort in the noise and bustle of a true Catalan gem.
I would travel back just to come here. Amazing.

GROS COUP DE COEUR ! Excellant bar à tapas ! Si vous voulez manger dans un endroit typique catalan, courrez-​y ! Ce restaurant est agencé en largeur. Les cuisiniers et les clients sont séparés par un comptoir: on voit donc les cuisiniers préparer les tapas sous nos yeux ! L’ambiance est au rendez-​vous: les cuisiniers/​serveurs se parlent à travers la pièce, rigolent avec les clients et concoctent des tapas traditionnels aussi bons les uns que les autres (patatas bravas piquantes, assiettes de jambon Seranno, croquettas…). Tout cela accompagné d’une flute de bière catalane: un plaisir pour les papilles ! :)

Une très bonne adresse: tout y est l’ambiance avec des serveur «marins «, une bière faite maison: un délice et enfin le plus important les Tapas: excellents je vous conseille le foie gras poêlé juste une merveille !!! Allez-​y sans craintes !!!

El vaso de oro es uno de esos bares de toda la vida que tiene la fama bien ganada. Ubicado en el barrio de la Barceloneta es parada obligada en la ruta del tapeo de esta zona. Estilo Barceloneta cien por cien y una experiencia que no te dejará indiferente. Un bar sin mesas, sólo barra, con tapas y una caña casera tirada como Dios manda (flautas).

I spent a good 2hrs looking over Unilocal restaurant reviews before I went to Barcelona and this was the first place I bookmarked. The pics of the sirloin with peppers caught my attention but I was calling BS on reviews that said it was the best steak they ever had. I’d have to say it’s pretty damn close… it’s the salty combo of the padron peppers with the tender beef that made this dish stand out. I don’t speak any Spanish and the bartender was patient and understanding… I showed him a pic of the dish on Unilocal and he said «10 minutes» haha. They didn’t ask how I wanted my meat cooked and it came out a perfect medium rare and incredibly tender. A perfect dish.

Increible! super buena comida y super buena atención! Especialmente recomendado el atún!!! Si no les importa estar un poco apretados, este es de los mejores lugares para comer tapas!

Barcelona and I have a rocky relationship. Sometimes I think we need to break up. However, the one thing I’ll always keep near and dear to my heart is this joint.
Vaso de Oro is that quintessential tapas place for me. The solomillo with peppers. Their croquetas. Their chocos. Their surprisingly friendly attitudes when you come in (not common in Bcn), all of it is epic. The food is always delicious and it’s always a good time.
I always eat here at least once whenever I’m Barcelona and strongly recommend you do the same. This is my favorite joint in the entire city. No frills. Good prices. Epic food and good people.

Wow. Just wow. What a perfect way to end my Spain trip. Came here upon a recommendation and my group had such a great time squeezing into this narrow bar and eating delicious tapas alongside a lively Barcelona crowd.
Everything was fantastic: Anchovies, olives stuffed with anchovies, padron peppers, manchego cheese, croquettes. EVERYTHING. You absolutely must get the steak — it’s tender, juicy, and everything you’ve ever wanted. Add foie gras to completely change your life.
The beer was cold and the waiter was HOT HOT HOT.

This restaurant was really good. I suggest this one to everyone, who visits Barcelona, Spain. My friend i, were just curious of a resto, which has good quality of food. Indeed, it had good quality, the tapas were just so delicious! :) Other than that, I´m not that quite fan of beer, but their beer was just so typically Spanish, and i did not like it that very much. The food though, was great!

Une belle adresse trouvee via Unilocal,je n’y serais certainement jamais allé sans Unilocal!
Le top du top niveau tapas, j’ai choisi la piece de boeuf avec foie gras grillé et c’est la meilleure viande que j’ai jamais mangee.

This spot has an old-​school feel that washes over you when you walk in. The bartenders wear these navy admiral like uniforms and are all probably 60+. The crowd, at least around 6 PM when there aren’t swarms of people, seems to be mostly locals who know the bartenders pretty well. All good signs.
Sat down and ordered my favorite bar drink (Clara con limon — beer with fanta), and proceeded to order the solomillo (sirloin) with foie, Patatas bravas, and boquarones (sardines). I did have a friend with me, so don’t judge!
All of the food was absolutely on point. The steak with foie was moist, tender, and rich. The grilled onions work really well with the steak and foie — makes for some excellent bread dipping once you’ve polished off all the goodies. The bravas are excellent — how can you go wrong with crispy potatoes, mayonnaise, and hot sauce. The sardines had a lovely tartness from the vinaigrette and were not fishy at all. My friend, a Barcelona resident, says these are the best sardines in town. I’ll take her word for it.
When it’s all said and done you had yourself a very fine meal in a pretty cool atmosphere. For those who can’t speak Spanish there is English on the backside of the menu (saw a few folks struggle communicating with the bartenders I Spanish … Who then simply turned over the menu to reveal English).
I’m pretty sure they don’t accept credit cards and be sure to bring a good amount of cash if you’re ordering the steak. This isn’t your typically super cheap tapas place — The steak with foie will put you back € 22 for a good 8 ounces. It’s a decent portion — but I’m not one to share and can easily finish one plate by myself! It’s worth every penny and then some.
I can see why many folks talk about how crowded and cramped it can get. The bar area is very slim and I would simply recommend coming during off hours (6ish) where you can get a seat and enjoy yourself!

I hate that I ate here. Mostly because I’m now an entire continent away from a rendezvous with my favorite steak in the world.
It’s not just the romanticism of traveling abroad to a place like Barcelona that I make a claim like that. It’s the best steak I’ve ever had in my life. They do something magical to a pile of meat and it happens right before your eyes. The process goes as such:
1. You order a steak
2. You indicate you’d like foie gras on said steak
3. You order something to drink — a beer is most suitable
4. A man in a white coat retreats to the kitchen and returns behind the bar with a slab of red meat, a foie gras patty, and a bevy of raw white onions
5. Meat cooks, onions caramelize, foie gras sears
6. The process is complete and you’re handed a plate of simple culinary brilliance
The steak is best paired with the nature fat drippings it comes with naturally that collect at the bottom of your plate. It’s more than enough to pack a flavorful punch.
This will be a stop I make every time I visit Barcelona again in the future. It’s divey, has a rich legacy, and is bloody delicious.

Fabulous local tapas bar that’s shaped around one long bar counter, and SO packed at about 11pm that I doubted whether we’d fit inside! The two of us managed to squish in and pounced on 2 inches of bar space which we gradually grew to 12 inches. It’s loud and busy and definitely not for the faint-​hearted — I swallowed my nerves and summoned up some 15 year old Spanish knowledge, whilst trying to catch the eye of one of the old-​timers behind the bar who were constantly serving, clearing, shouting and occasionally singing! I managed to shout over an order for two beers but was too embarrassed to be the only person in the place to ask for a menu — so instead we cheated and checked it out on Unilocal’s photos instead ;)
I admit to being quite impressed with myself for ordering our dishes, including asking for the spicy potato dish that the guys next to us had. We spotted one of the 3 tables in the corner come free and nabbed it quick, which was much easier to eat at than in the bar crush. The tapas were great — we restrained ourselves with 4 dishes (as it was actually our second dinner of the evening eek!) and I liked them all but especially the classics of padron peppers and manchego cheese. It was really just a joy to be amongst the bustling local crowd and made for great people-​watching too — grab someone who knows some Spanish and give it a go!

Good beer. Good staff. Great food. Atmosphere. Quality. Always a crowd.
I would give it 5 stars but I really didn’t like how narrow this place is and how everyone always bumps into me all the time.
You need to experience this place. The filet and foie gras appetizer is awesome.

This was worth a tapas stop near the Barceloneta. The guy behind the counter deafeningly yells out your order and it is a busy place with mostly a long counter for seating. Both the locals and tourists seem to equally know about this place. The foie gras was a steal at 9 eu! Loved the anchovies, olives, cheese and shishito peppers. This place would definitely be in my book to come back to, especially for that foie gras!

Encontré este lugar gracias a esta aplicación, la cerveza buenísima, pero el solomillo con pimientos o con foie, no tiene precio, la única pega es lo pequeño (estrecho) del local, pero a su vez ese fallo creo que lo hace más personal. Es un imprescindible dentro de Barcelona.

Love this place, it totally feels authentic. It sure feels like you’re surrounded with locals that are catching up with each others and a few regulars that knows the waiters.
We rolled in at around 11PM, grabbed a little corner table and almost immediately a server came with the menu. Ordered a few beers (their regular is blonde aka rubia, and their special is dark). I initially ordered one of each, but our waiter patiently mentioned that perhaps a dark is too strong). Delicious beer, paired really well with all the food we got:
— Anchovy Canapé (sandwich): delicious, I don’t know how they do it. Just get it.
— Olives: not too salty, i love olives!
— Papatas: a bit heavy, and those mayos are just dangerous.
— Salmon pan fried: pretty basic, nothing too exciting, but they are delicious.
— Chorizo, fried: way way too salty, we didn’t even finish it.
— Foie Gras: SO delicious! They slightly pan seared it along with chopped shallots. SO good, served with toasted bread.
— Roaster pepper: also very good, reminds me shishito pepper
All in all, it costed us about 50E for all the above plus 3 glasses of beer.

One of my favorite places in Barcelona!!! It was my first time tonight, and my friends and I had a great time. Food is outstanding and freshly made. We were standing next the the flat iron grill, and we saw magic in the making. Beer was also great. The staff is very friendly. The place is tight, but very common in Barcelona, so we were ok. Steak with foie gras is a must!!! Great ambience. I really considering going tomorrow again :)

Me gusta este sitio, aunque un poco incomodo, por el espacio limitado, una barra larga y lugar para los clientes estrecho, ¿ o será que habemos muchos para degustar sus tapas? Un lugar para pasarte a tomar tu cerveza con cualquiera de sus tapas

Hace dos años que escribí mi reseña así que ya iba tocando una actualización. La verdad es que sigo pensando exactamente lo mismo de esta taberna de estilo a la madrileña que es un clásico de la Barceloneta (ya me llevaba mi padre cuando yo era un renacuajo).
Aquí podrás comer una tapa de solomillo con foie (y sin foie) espectacular, de verdad, merece la pena ir solo por probar esos trozos de carne, ¿qué les deben hacer para que queden así de tiernos y sabrosos? Las otras tapas que tienen también están muy buenas y la cerveza para mi gusto es ideal.
El ambiente es auténtico y los camareros son de la vieja escuela, aunque ten cuidado con las horas puntas porque puede que vayas y no quepa ni un alfiler. Aún así, merece la pena esperar por hacerte con un trocito de la barra. El público que va es una mezcla de gente del barrio y turistas que han ido previamente recomendados.
Para mi este es uno de los sitios con más carisma de la Barceloneta :) Es de visita obligatoria (y siento repetirme tanto pero no olvides pedir el solomillo!!).

Del exterior este restaurante parece muy pequeño y típico de los restaurantes de tapas. Pero dentro… puede descubrir a un ambiente muy particular de Cataluña. No hay tanto ruido y la comida es excelente. Me ha gustado un montón el solomillo con foie y el atún a la plancha que son dos especialidades. Hablamos de la cerveza catalana?!?

Me encanta todo, cerveza, tapas camareros, todo uno de mis bares favoritos.

From the outside, this looks like the perfect place for a nice glass of beer. But there is more. Open the door to one of the best Tapas places I’ve visited in Barcelona.
Inside you will see a typical but beautifully looking brown bar. The staff is neatly dressed and takes your order in a jiffy.
We went for the spicy chorizo balls, manchego cheese platter, patatas bravas and the best of all: steak and peppers. Everything was lovely but I really gotta recommend this one to you. No hablo Ingles very well. No wifi. Oh yeah, Tax is not included in the prices mentioned on the menu card. But hey, you want the real thing, right? Then you have to go here.
It can be very crowded in here so visit them early. It’s a hidden treasure. Glad we found it.

El vaso de oro es un bar de tapas situado en la Barceloneta.
Es bastante pequeño para la cantidad de gente que se reúné allí y con pocas mesas. Así que seguramente, si vas, te tocará estar en la barra de pie.
Probamos el atún, bastante picante pero delicioso, los pimientos de padrón y las bravas. Todo estaba muy bueno y a un precio razonable.

Un clásico de la Barceloneta, de toda la vida, todos en este barrio lo conocemos.
Situado en la calle Balboa, el vaso de oro es sitio por excelencia para ir a tomar unas «flautas», siempre acompañadas de unas buenas tapas como por ejemplo:
Ensaladilla al 50 (ensaladilla rusa + ensaladilla de atún picante)
Solomillo con foie (impresionante)
Pimiento padrón
Chorizitos
Granjero (bocadillo de pan de molde con jamón, queso, huevo, tomate, lechuga y mayonesa, MI PREFERIDOOOO!!!)
Fankfurt
Hamburguesa completa
Bikini
Etc
El sitio es un poco pequeño pero es también el encanto que tiene, con sus camareros conocidos todos y muy amables y simpáticos.
No dudéis en entrar si pasaje por aquí!!

Me encanta este sitio de mi barrio. Las cañas se llaman ¨ Filos¨ y están buenísimas :) las tapas son variadas y también super buenas. El solomillo con foie es un ¨must¨, la ensaladilla rusa también me vuelve loca! No hay mesas, hay una larga barra y al fondo del todo algunos taburetes con un par de barras, a pesar de siempre estar muy lleno y no ser demasiado cómodo vale la pena ir para beber buena cerveza y comer genial!!! Vuelvo siempre que puedo

Hay varias cosas que me pirran de este lugar:
— Uno de sus camareros. Me atrevería a decir que es una de las personas más felices del mundo. Te da la bienvenida a todo volumen según entras por la puerta, te saluda, canturrea, bromea contigo, con sus compañeros…
— La cerveza artesanal. Servida fenomenalmente, en un vaso apropiado y riquísima. Eso sí, es densa y cuesta pasarla si no estás acostumbrado, pero merece la pena pedirla porque es deliciosa.
— La ración de solomillo. Es caro, pero merece la pena. Se trata de un solomillo cortado en tacos y hecho a la plancha, vuelta y vuelta. Se te van a quitar las penas con tan solo hincarle el diente…

He estado yendo aquí por 4 años, más o menos. Aveces es muy difícil pedir copas, y también no puedes esperar a tener una silla. PERO, El Vaso de Oro me gusta mucho! Son simpáticos. Las cervezas son muy buenas. Pida la «fila al cincuenta».

Sé que otros Unilocaleros son muy fan pero a mí este bar no me pareció tan excepcional. Sí, la cerveza estaba buena. Sí, el solomillo con foie estaba bueno (y las bravas). Pero a mí me pareció un bar normal, nada del otro mundo.
Será que como soy de Sevilla estoy acostumbrada a bares con tapas mucho más elaboradas. Y que conste que también me gustan los bares «de toda la vida» con sus tapas clásicas (de siempre) pero es que los hay mucho más baratos. A mí me pareció un poco caro para lo que era.

Probablemente aqui se tiran las mejores cañas de Barcelona y es que en el «Vaso de oro» las cañas saben diferentes, incluso el nombre cambia, se hacen llamar «filo». No se que es lo que llevan pero la cerveza tiene un gusto increíble, sera el vaso? Pues no! fuentes cercanas me han comentado que el tirador es made in Germany y sale a una presión que hacen que las cañas adquieran este sabor.
Los platos que recomendaria en este lugar son:
— Solomillo de foie, 22 € de plato, eso si todo el que lo prueba alucina!
–Atún picante, sencillamente buenísimo!
Lo malo de este sitio es que el lugar es como si fuera un pasillo muy estrecho y nunca hay sitio, puede llegar a ser agobiante. A parte los precios son un poco desorbitados, pero bueno si vienes a Barcelona este es un lugar de parada obligatoria.

La cerveza artesanal es muy buena, pero todas las 4 estrellas van para el solomillo con foie. Una maravilla, carne muy terna, muy exquisito. El lugar muy lleno Sábado por la noche, ruidoso todavía muy agradable. Los mozos son muy simpáticos.
Pero todo que es bueno tiene su precio: la porción de solomillo cuesta 22 euros.

Kleines, uriges Tapaslokal in Hafennähe. Wir haben die Bedienung gebeten uns 5 beliebige Tapas zu bringen und bekamen einen tollen, abwechslungsreichen Mix, der sehr lecker war. Schwierig ist nur die Sprachbarriere!

Dieser Tapas ist sensationell, außerdem wird dort Bier getrunken und kein Wein.

Nunca pensé que llegaría a poner 5 estrellas a un restaurante por el simple echo de un plato, pero es que la verdad que la gente del Vaso de oro se lo merecen por deleitar el paladar con tal exquisito Solomillo, me lo recomendaron hace un tiempo y no encontraba el momento para ir, y la verdad es que me arrepiento de no haber ido antes, a partir de este momento me considero asiduo a este bar, pequeño y ruidoso, pero sus camareros muy simpáticos y la comida espectacular, la verdad es que te hacen repetir, repetir, repetir y volver a repetir!!! De especial recomendación el Solomillo con Foe … Bufff Sin Palabras!!!

Sucht man ein ruhigen ort wo man gemütlich sitzen kann und in einer ruhige atmosphere sich unterhalten kann, dann ist dies der falsche Ort. Wenn dass nicht der fall ist, nicht Menschen scheu bist und Lust auf einen lustige Zeit hast dann ist der Laden ideal.
Der Laden ist voll und lustig, hier wird leckeres Bier getrunken und leckere Tapas dazu gegessen.
Sehr lustig ist wie die Kellner als Admiral bekleidet sind und lautschreiend die Bestellungen an die Küche weiter geben.
Ich werde auf jeden Fall dort weiter gehen

Patatas bravas increibles y la cerveza artesanal también. Camareros profesionales, ambiente super guapo. Lo único que podría mejorar es el precio, me parece un poco caro.

Tapas waren gut wie man das in Barcelona erwartet. Das selbstgebraute Bier war ebenfalls toll. Man kommt aufgrund der etwas engen Atmosphaere schnell mit anderen in Kontakt. Das Personal ist echt freundlich und die Preise absolut in Ordnung. Es kommen auch viele Einheimische zum vorgluehen.

Otro lugar FERPECTO para el vermú o para hacer unas tapas, lo que viene siendo beber y picar algo para seguir comiendo y bebiendo a la hora de comer los sábados, el bar es chulo, de estar de pie o en un taburete en una barrica alta. Puedes comer gran variedad de tapas y todas buenas. Cervezas, obviamente.
Si vas a la Barceloneta no puedes perderte este bar.

Tooooodo el mundo recomienda el foie de este sitio. Pero yo, que me relamo desde los márgenes del placer de llevar la contraria, también tengo que recomendarlo. Es así.
Pero, lo que para mí hace a este sitio grande y muy considerable, son los camareros, una raza en absoluto peligro de extinción en Barcelona: camareros envestidos con el alma del lugar, vivos, profesionales, que hablan, gritan, hacen chistes, son rápidos y eficaces. Porque ningún súper Foi vale un pimiento sino se la da mimo y ambiente.

Im Oktober war ich für 4Tage in Barcelona und habe von einer Einheimischen den Tipp für diese Tapas-​Bar bekommen in der wenig Touristen und viele Einheimische einkehren. Abseits der großen Restaurants in Barceloneta liegt die Bar in einer kleinen Seitenstrasse. Also eine wirklich typische Tapas-​Bar. Wir sind mit etwas Skepsis dort hin und waren dann die nächsten drei Tage auch noch dort.
Die Einrichtung ist typisch spanisch, die Kellner sprechen kein Wort deutsch und super wenig Englisch. Es gibt eine laminierte Karte DIN A4, auf der Vorderseite spanisch und auf der Rückseite englisch (oder umgekehrt ;)). Am WE kann es schonmal sehr voll sein, denn das Lokal ist nicht sonderlich groß versprüht aber sofort einen tollen Charme.
Die Auswahl auf der Karte ist nicht sonderlich groß, dafür ist die Qualität und der Geschmack einfach hevorragend. Die Köche lieben ihren Job und man sieht ihnen den Spaß bei der Arbeit an. So kann es durchaus sein, dass einer der Köche fröhlich ein Lied vor sich hersingt (relativ laut). Das stört nicht weiter und macht das Ganze noch autentischer.
Es gibt jeden Tag fangfrischen Fisch und so kann es sein, dass es heute noch Thunfisch gibt und morgen Knochenfisch. Das zeugt von frische und Qualität. Alles gegrillte wird vor den Augen des Gastes zubereitet.
Alles in allem sicher die beste Tapas Bar in der ich gewesen bin und auf alle Fälle mindestens einen Besuch wert.

die besten tapas der stadt. obwohl es schon in jedem führer ist, bietet das vaso de oro nach wie vor und ohne abstriche die tollsten häppchen während dem ganzen tag.
ein besuch mit viel hunger lohnt sich, denn man sollte von allem probieren.

El Vaso de Oro = das goldene Glas = hier gibt es Bier. Das ist jedoch nicht das Faszinierende an diesem Ort, sondern die Kombination mit hervorragenden Tapas, in einer sehr gediegenen Umgebung (mutet wie eine alte auf Hochglanz polierte Kapitänskajüte an), mit wunderbaren professionellen, leidenschaftlichen Köchen und Bedienung, im alten Fischerviertel Barceloneta.
Mich hat neben der Qualität des Essens überzeugt, das hier unglaublich viele Einheimische hingehen, die das Personal offensichtlich schon seit Jahren kennen und einen guten Umgang miteinander haben. Und jetzt kommt es, die sich nicht von dem ein oder anderen Touristen, der sich hierher verirrt (den es liegt nicht wirklich auf dem Weg und man muss hereingehen) belästigt fühlen, sondern hilfreich sind, da es nicht wirklich eine Karte gibt.
Mittags ist es dort sehr voll und vor allem laut, am besten geht man Nachmittags dort vorbei. Ab 15 Uhr.
