A very unique place for a memorial, located in a quaint residential setting. The area is fairly well kempt but the area under the adjacent bridge has plenty of litter, including condom packages. The memorial to Kurt is very plain and basic; you can tell it wasn’t an expensive project. But, at least something is erected in this area for Kurt.

Nice little area to remember a legend. Too bad there was drug paraphernalia under the bridge & on the the small table by the guitar. Not gonna lie, was kinda disappointed. Should be something a lot nicer there.

Been here twice, if you’re a Kurt fan you will want to check it out. In 2014 I did a self guided Kurt Cobain tour starting with his family home located at 1210 East 1st St. Then to the park, a spot he frequented in Tacoma and ending at his home in Seattle where he died. The park has some really great features, a larger than life Fender Mustang statue is my favorite. It’s a nice place to visit and reflect on your inner nirvana.

Der«Kurt Cobain Riverfront Park» soll an unseren Kurtl erinnern. Da soll er als Teenager gesessen haben. Don’t know if it’s true. Lieber hier her. :-)

The park is a nice reflection of Kurt and his life, both in that it’s a place he actually hung out at and wrote a song about, as well as being simple and rather understated. I think he’d like knowing that his hometown memorial is this quaint little neighborhood spot and not some overdone gaudy tourist trap.

HMMMM drove there from Seattle because I had a day to kill with my teenaged son… he thought there was a lot to see in Aberdeen, but we were pretty disappointed. We missed the park the first few times we drove by the bridge, but finally found it. Recommend you stick to the Museum in Seattle near the Space Needle that has all of his letters, guitars, writings, and a great display of his music and the band’s history. We didn’t even find his home in Aberdeen, even though it was on Waze there wasn’t a house number. We’re betting it was the brown one?

Don’t go under the bridge. It smells like pee/poo.
Great to see a place like this in a small town! We did the The Cobain tour and I loved it! The art was great and I was super pleased with this little park!

Nice place to stop for a little history on Kurt. Not really what I expected for someone of his importance to rock music, but perhaps understated in a way that he would have appreciated. Took some friends from out of town to the park, and they were glad that we had *something* commemorating Kurt.

What an awesome place! I loved it there! Just recently discovered this memorial park existed and since I was always a huge Kurt Cobain AND Nirvana fan I just HAD to go check it out. OMG, it was so touching. Just knowing Kurt used to hang out under this bridge means so much. And reading all the heart-felt notes and stuff written on the underside of the bridge to/for/about Kurt almost brought me to tears. This memorial park is long-overdue! I’m so glad it’s here, and I’ll certainly go there on a regular basis now. Rest In Peace, Kurt Cobain!!!
