Dante’s

I absolutely LOVE Dante’s!!! The food is delicious every single time. I visit friends in Abilene only occasionally (I’m from Nebraska) and I always make sure to stop by to grab some vegetarian pizza! Plus the employees are so friendly. I’m basically best friends with one of the girls who works there! Definitely stop by if you have the time :)

The pizza was delicious! Super hot and fresh! I literally could not get enough. Now my pants hate me. Note to self… next time I eat at Dante’s wear stretchy pants!

I had 2 pieces of cheese pizza and a soda for 7 dollars. It was really good and they also threw in a free side of ranch because I was from out of town. Everything really is bigger in Texas; even the pizza.

We got their ad in the mail. Thought we would give it a try. Ad said 10% discount when ordering online. That didn’t happen. Delivery was on time. We ordered Baked Ziti and Cannelloni. Seemed good at the time. Now we are sick, sick. Will not order again.

Best pizza in abilene; never once had a bad meal here. Wings are fantastic, too. Delivery service is always prompt.

I was not impressed at all with this pizza. I know good pizza, and this was just gross. Greasy and salty.

The Philly Cheese Steak calzone is so GOOD! The all meat thin crust pizza is awesome also. Great all around restaurant and I have never had anything bad from here.

I so love this pizza. They have 3 sizes of whole pizza if you want a whole pie. They also have lasagna, calzone, and even Cannoli! Of course they also sell by the slice as well which is great just for lunch.
This place is in the Abilene mall next to Dillard’s and Chick-​fil-​A which might deter some people but don’t let it! It almost deterred me but he lack of highly regarded Unilocal reviews of other restaurants in the area combined with a craving for pizza one night at the Hilton next door brought me here. I come here almost every trip I make here now. It seems to be a local favorite as wel.
The prices can’t be beat either, the 18in pepperoni pizza is like $ 14. Crazy I know, so try it out one day if your around this area. I really don’t think you’ll regret it.
So keep up the great pizza guys! I look forward to coming every time.

The food is great and couldn’t ask for better pizza my only complaint is they nickel and dime everything. Like asking money for refills even when ya done in and charging for a very small cup of marinara. Idk go up on ur prices if ur hurting that bad I just hate being nickel and dimed for every little thing

Well, it is time to reveal my secret to my Unilocal people. I have a problem. Well, more of an addiction. This addiction is to Dante’s pizza. That’s right I said it. I would seriously cry more than once if this place ever closes. I grew up in Abilene and it would be such a treat to get a cheese slice if while at the mall shopping with my mom. This was the gateway to my addiction. Over the years my weakness for Dante’s grew larger than I ever thought if could.
I now live two and a half hours away from Dante’s, yes that is the exact time between my house in Lubbock and the men’s Dillard’s parking lot I use to get into the mall to get to Dante’s. I have family in Abilene still. They all know and almost make fun of me because the first thing I do once I am in Abilene is have Dante’s. I sometimes even pick it up on the way in, or have my mother-​in-​law, sister-​in-​law or brother order it to the house.
That is another great thing. If you give them your phone number that you used last time to order delivery they have your previous order saved. What’s my order? An extra large cheese pizza with a side of ranch, marinara and ½ dozen bread sticks. I get this whether I am alone or with four other people. I am very protective of my order and will order way too much pizza for a group just to make sure I get my fill. Their leftover pizza cold is amazing, it also reheats perfectly in a toaster oven. I have even been known to order a pizza extra just to put it in plastic bags on ice, be taken to Lubbock, put in my freezer and enjoyed on a later date.
Let’s get to why it is so good!
The pizza is perfectly thin and crispy. The slices are as big as my face. The sauce they use is like no other sauce I have ever tasted. It has the perfect amount of special seasoning and herbs in it that keeps my begging for more. The garlic rolls are always soft, dusted with parmesan, and with flakes of fresh parsley. The pasta dishes are still bubbling when they bring them to the table and are swimming in a heavenly mixture of sauce and cheese. The calzones come in a generous portion and browned crispy to perfection and come with extra marinara on the side for dipping. The salads are always fresh and they even have seasonal fruit bowls. I know this all sounds crazy. I tell people about my addiction and their response is:
«You mean that Pizza place in the mall? I have never tried it.»
People over look Dante’s because they think, «how good could a mall pizza place really be?». They are wrong for this and it is kind of a life goal of mine to let Abilene folks know it is special. I would never order any other pizza if I lived there. I would have a weekly Dantes night where I would invite my friends over and share the goodness.
Lastly, the friendly service. The same 5 or 6 guys run this place and are always there. I think they are finally started to recognize me, only because every time I am in line I stand there with a goofy smile across my face and proceed to tell them I came all the way from Lubbock for this meal. They always reciprocate the smile and make sure to cut me a slightly larger than normal slice. They are running a beautiful business that I obviously care deeply about. Please go and give them a big smile and try their pizza, for me, the addict.

Best pizza in Abilene! Always fast delivery, and every time we go there, the staff is always very nice, quick to get our order, and helpful. As long as we live in Abilene, we’ll be coming here. The gyro’s are also always amazing!

Dante’s has a fantastic Stromboli and the marinara with it is unbeatable. Best Stromboli you will experience around here. It’s large enough for 2 meals also. If you’ve never had one its a must try recommendation.

Fantastic NY style (at least in my mind) pizza! Everything is super fresh and the extra large supreme pizza I ordered was only $ 20 with my military discount. There were eight slices. After two I was completely stuffed, and I can easily eat half of a chain pizza. The cheese stretches and is tasty. Probably one of the two highest quality pizza places I’ve ever been to.

Loved the food! Vast selection with quick delivery. I will order from them again when I visit the area in the future.

Dantes lasagna is THE BEST! It is so huge that I had to split it with my sister! I would TOTALLY recommend this to anyone who loves food!

I was hesitant about trying this place on my first visit to this mall but I got to the mall before the stores opened and came upon this place. It was really busy so I decided to give it a try. I had a combo with a slice of pizza, salad and a drink and I loved it. I think I’m kind of a pizza snob since I’ve had some amazing pizza across the USA and this pizza was surprisingly very good. I’m impressed. I’d eat here again :)

I have been going to Dante’s for 15 years! It is a great place to eat. Needless to say I have had everything on the menu & they are always EXCELLENT! They also deliver which is so convenient! Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

I ordered online a pizza online yesterday for delivery. The pizza was here timely, but it was covered in olives, which I despise. I called the store and there was no hassles, just that that they’d put another in the oven and get it out ASAP.
About 20 minutes later the delivery guy arrived with a near perfect pizza with pepperoni, sausage, hamburger, and onions. It’s was utterly delicious!

Finding a new pizza place when you move to a new town is always interesting. Yeah you have the chains to get pizza from if you have to, but I prefer local pizza joints.
Dante’s is located within the Mall of Abilene so you might shy away for that reason but you’d be missing out. They have pizza by the slice. Large, thin crust pizza, as well as calzones, ziti, garlic knots, salads and other items.
I usually get a slice of pepperoni, a garlic knot and a drink. Speaking of drinks. They were one of the first places in town to have the Coke Freestyle machines. Look it up, but basically you have numerous beverage options in one soda machine. It’s cool that Abilene finally has them.
Okay, the food. Their pizza is so delicious. It’s not too greasy, they don’t over load it with toppings or cheese. Crust is thin, a little crispy. One slice is good enough. I’ve taken home full pies and its decently priced too.
It’s certainly not the best pizza I’ve ever had, but it’s definitely up there for the best of Abilene.

It’s a cold day and there is nothing in my fridge so I decided to order pizza. I will never order pizza hut or the other usuals ever again. I have found Dante’s.
I ordered the family special: 1 18in half cheese half chicken pizza, bread sticks, spinach lasagna, coke, and 2 pieces of cheesecake. It was like Christmas morning when I opened the pizza box. Wide eyes and a drooling mouth. The pizza was huge! Everything tasted great. I was so surprised. I’m use to the Abilene let down aka the mediocrity of food here. Everything tasted great but the cheesecake was not so great. Even the service was nice. From the guy taking my order on the phone to the delivery guy, they were friendly and timely. Food arrived hot at my door when they said it would. Looking forward to trying everything, yes everything, else on the menu.
