I needed new glasses and thought I’d check this place out after I got some froyo. Great choice! The prices were much better than most others in the area, though I was disappointed that they didn’t have Ray Bans. I’m not sure why everyone is complaining about the wait, I was in and out in about fifteen minutes, though I picked up my glasses the next day. Elisha helped me and was nice, polite, and very stylish haha! I’d definitely recommend this place.

I haven’t bought anything from eyemart express, but did visit the«dr.» that they employ, here is my experience with Larry: Wow…where to begin? I’ll start at the beginning. First, I called«dr.» Abernathy’s office to ask how much an eye exam costs. I was thrilled to hear $ 55, so I went ahead and made an appointment for that Friday. After arriving, I was given the usual new patient paperwork to fill out, which I did. The paperwork made it absolutely 100% clear that I wear contacts and had them on at that moment. After the receptionist did the standard air puff tests, etc, she asked me to put on my glasses. So… yeah…she didn’t even read what I was asked to fill out and then I had to take my contacts out to redo all of the tests. The rest of the appointment went fairly well. Larry(I can’t stand to call this guy a doctor) did the 1 or 2 thing, wrote me a prescription for glasses and asked that I wear the contacts he gave me for a week to see how they fit and to see him again in a week. Then, it came time to pay. $ 110. Was the quote offered per eye? No… apparently they charge double for people who wear contacts and don’t tell them about the extra charge until the card is about to be run. After getting home, I decided to order glasses, only to find out that the prescription that Larry wrote me was incorrect! He completely neglected to fill out a vital box on the prescription. I brought up his mistake at my followup appointment, and he corrected it. The contacts felt fine and I was seeing well enough, so he wrote me a prescription for contact lenses. I got home and was excited to order my new contact lenses, only to find out that this prescription was wrong, too! Seriously wrong. He recommended a brand that didn’t carry the prescription he wrote, and neglected to provide the proper information for my right eye. At this point I have completely lost any faith that any prescription is correct, so I called and politely asked the interrupting receptionist if I could go by the office, return the prescriptions, and receive a refund. She said she’d look into it. I went by today to get that refund and was told that«services were rendered» and he agrees that he wrote me an incorrect prescription and had mailed me a correct one. I have no faith that the new prescription is correct and am now out $ 110 and three visits to his office with nothing to show for it.

We had a very long wait(four hours), but the glasses match the prescription really well.

Mixed feelings about this place. Service great one time and the next time they could seem to care less. The wait is always long, but it is where I have chosen to go, so I deal with it.

I went here because I was in town and they are on my insurance. I won’t go back. My glasses were not even close to what they should have been. I had them and my eyes both re-checked by a different dr when I got back home. The glasses were not made to the prescription I was given that same day. They did make a new pair and send them to me but I still don’t think they are right and there out is «well we will make them if your eyes have changed» so I had to go pay for another eye exam and go thru the hassle of sending it in and waiting for new glasses to get to me. Several follow up calls later — they came. Not sure why they were able to make them when I was standing there but had to send them out for order when I needed them corrected. Glasses cost too dang much to not work right. When I told the lady(who was really rude by the way) that waited on me that something was off and I really couldn’t see well her response was«well you always have to adjust to new glasses» give them a few days. OK — whatever!
