Favorite local dessert place for my girl and I to go to. The manager loves new ideas and discussing options, which is obvious with the flavors changing quite often. Some combinations don’t go great together, but it really seems like the place is great for experimenting froyo options. The price is slightly elevated, as you’d see in any Froyo(or ice cream) shop. Will gladly continue visiting

I like the concept of this place, however, I wish they had more sizing options… they have a tiny sample cup(I recommend utilizing this before you make your selections), then they have a big cup and then an even bigger cup. They need a baby size. By the time you get to the end, your final price is a mystery until you weigh in. Then is it too late to spoon back out the drizzle so that you don’t go over your 10 bucks? My favorite flavor is the salted caramel. It’s the only flavor that tastes like you expect it to. Even the vanilla doesn’t taste like vanilla.

Who doesn’t love fat free yogurt that tastes just like, if not better than ice cream?! Exactly my point

I miss my Yogurtland. Coming from SoCal, I’m pretty familiar with self serve frozen yogurt places like this one. You probably already know the way this place works. You have your selections of ever rotating yogurt flavor on a wall. You pick the container size you want to fill. Then you fill it with whatever they might have at the time. Add as many flavors as you like. Each machine has two flavors that, if you want, can come swirled together. Sometimes you have flavors hat work together, while other times you might not want to mix them. A little poor planning. Next stop is the topping station. Which consists of cereals, candy, nuts, sauces and such. Anything you could want to add onto your yogurt. Typically I have a froyo/topping combinations I stick to, usually tart flavors, with one sweet flavor, topped with mochi, berries and maybe a cereal, Fruity Pebbles being my favorite. Finally it’s weighed and you’re done. I see complaints of it being pricey. I suppose small town living doesn’t expose people to what the rest of the world has been paying for things like this for some time. It’s just the norm from my experience. My only complaint, if you can even call it that is a lack of a green tea flavor. I can’t say they’ve NEVER had it, I just know that when I’ve visited this location and the one on Judge Ely, they both never seem to have that common flavor. It’s a nice addition to Abilene, especially during the hot summer months.

Make sure you use the sample cups before you make your choice. Definite inconsistencies in the texture depending on flavor. Number of choices as well as toppings was good. Had the salted caramel, very good. Also had the green apple, again very good. Priced similarly to any of the chain shops like Orange Cup. Person working was super nice and the place was clean. Overall pleasant.

Really not impressed. The yogurt was just okay, but the toppings didn’t taste fresh at all. The«hot fudge» topping was just chocolate syrup that wasn’t even warm. I ended up just getting chocolate and vanilla yogurt because the other flavors just didnt appeal to me. The employees were very casual, wearing flip flops and texting. There was a visible pile of dirt behind the counter. Not at all what I had hoped for.

Really good place! The price seems high overall, but no more than Cold Stone or any other ‘ice cream only’ place. A different review mentioned their frozen yogurt was icy. Thats the da-lite options. If you want to skip a couple of calories then being a little icy will be the trade off. The regular flavors were super duper creamy. I thought the options were plentiful, but be careful because the cup can hold a lot of moneys worth! The only real disappointment was the ‘hot fudge’. Not sure if it was bad but it came out runny more like hot chocolate syrup. The gal behind the counter was very friendly and helpful and very encouraging to try samples especially since it was our first time. That made the experience better since I would usually feel guilty trying more than one especially in-front of a bunch of skinny young high schoolers you might find running a similar place in a big city.

Fantastic frozen yogurt. If they have it, mix banana and peanut butter, then cover with peanut butter cup pieces. It doesn’t get any better than this!

The best frozen yogurt in Abilene! I love that they switch out their flavors. You pick out your flavor, add your own toppings, then pay per weight. Especially memorable was around Christmastime, I had apple pie with salted caramel sprinkled with graham crackers. The food coma was worth it.

Plenty of flavors, and space is clean. Extensive selection of toppings. The froyo just tasted a little bit icey to me, with a chalky flavor. It could have just been the flavor I picked and it wouldn’t stop me from returning.

A little confusing when you first walk in but Nikki’s Swirl Shop is a self serving frozen yogurt shop. They have little sample cups to sample as many flavors as you want before deciding on your yogurt. Select your frozen yogurt then you move down the line to the bar of toppings with choices from candy, cereal or fruit topping. Take it down to have it weighed then you pay. Very tasty yogurt. I got the Lime and Raspberry yogurt. Will visit again.
