Ray was wonderful! Very courteous and knowledgeable about the menu. He made our experience a great one, and we will be requesting him whenever we come to eat.

Great food and great service, hair was found in a friend of mines food but the manger offered to fix up a new plate and didn’t charge her for the food. I really enjoy the shrimp plate Nd of course the steaks are wonderful

The service was amazing! We were greeted by everyone at the front and were seated right away, we requested a booth and they were able to accommodate us no questions asked. The food was great as well; perfect for date night. I had the chopped steak and it was excellent! The only thing that bothered me is the loaded sweet potato. My dates was great, but on mine the amount of toppings left something to be desired. Overall, wonderful experience

We went here for my father-​in– laws birthday. I called ahead and told them we would need a spot for a wheelchair. They put us in a back room in a corner where we had to ask the people at the next table to move so we could get by. The food was good but the service was not. We were only asked once if we needed a refill.

Heck yeah! Free meal on Veteran’s Day! I got a 6oz sirloin steak and it was cooked perfectly to order. The steak fries were warm but just a tad underdone. And I always love TR’s green beans w/​bacon! Very pleased with my free lunch. The service was excellent even though the place was packed. I’ll be back for the food and service :-)

Tonight’s meal fell short of their usual great product, but exceptional service by Amber saved it. My sweet potato (with toasted marshmallows) was baked to a crisp, inedible thin mess. In less than five minutes, Amber returned with a new fluffy sweet potato. My medium steak was more a medium well, but the flavor was so good, I didn’t request a change. TRH is still our favorite steak place.

This is my favorite place to go! Great atmosphere and they ALWAYS cook my steak perfectly Medium Rare! Great staff too!

Had a great dinner at the bar. Misty and Holly took great care of me and made me feel welcomed.

Had dinner here last night and the wait was ridiculous! Was told 25 minutes was the wait time which turned into 45 minutes. However, the bread was good and I enjoyed my Caesar salad. This was my second time eating here and was NOT satisfied with my meal. I ordered steak tips cooked medium. By the time we FINALLY received or meals the meat was cold and tough. The seasoned rice was warm but mushy. The waitor was apologetic and continually blamed kitchen staff. I will not return to this Texas Roadhouse location.

We stopped at Texas Roadhouse in Abilene for dinner on our way through town. We were seated promptly in a booth near the door. The air vent was blowing directly on our table, so it was quite chilly!
The waiter brought the yummy rolls and cinnamon butter to our table right away and was very attentive with drinks and taking our order quickly. All four of us ordered the 8 oz sirloin with salads and potatoes (some mashed, baked, and sweet – all loaded). The salads (caesar and garden) were good, though not spectacular. The steaks were cooked perfectly to order and were very tender for sirloins – delicious! The potatoes were tasty, as well, though they were out of brown sugar for the sweet potato; it really didn’t need it with the cinnamon butter. This dinner was great for the price of $ 9.99 plus $ 1 for the loading of the potatoes. We were in and out in great time, back on the road for more adventures.
The only complaint, and it really isn’t a complaint, more of an annoyance, was that the wait staff seemed to be gathered around certain areas, talking, but blocking the aisle for anyone needing to pass. It happened twice to me this visit – I just went a more circuitous route. The staff was pleasant and efficient. I did not notice our waiter in the group of staff visiting… he had tables to serve. The rest of the restaurant seemed empty, so the others had time to chat. It was picking up by the time we left and everyone was busy.
We will definitely head here for dinner the next time we are in Abilene.

For a steak house that is middle level pricing you are actually getting a good meal. Went in and the misses had a very bad experience at another location so we kept it simple and didn’t order anything to extravagant. Chicken portabelo and road kill steak. Both were very tasty and they cooked the steak the way I asked for it to be done. What I like a lot about this place is the butcher window of fresh steaks that you are able to choose from which I will be doing next time. Service was really good too and after we told our server about the bad experience she got her manager involved and gave us some free samples and made the stay very welcoming and warm. They will be getting out business back soon.

We always enjoy our meal. We have never gotten a bad meal. The service is great and the atmosphere is good for young and old.

Every time we visit this restaurant the service is very good and the food is excellent. Their Prime Rib is amazing. You are guaranteed a great meal here!

I have enjoyed a meal at this location many times. This trip was very enjoyable. Grilled shrimp appetizer. New York strip steak, Caesar salad, and a sweet potato made for a very scrumptious meal — even without considering the Peanuts and hot fresh bread.
The service was friendly and efficient — Best I’ve had in a long time.
The cost of the meal was well worth it — fair price for value received.

I love this place. Great steaks & burger’s. Probably my favorite part about eating here is the yeast rolls. Sometimes I wish I could just order a coke and rolls… lol.

Another good meal. Cold & icy day but they were busy.
Sat 2 of us at a table for 8 but we were given immediate seating. We both enjoyed the meal and look forward to going back.

My husband & I had horrible stomach cramps & diarrhea after eating lunch here. My advice — stay far far away!!! :-(

All Roadhouses seem to be the same, which means the same great food and same great service. It’s always packed which is why we don’t go more often. Prime rib is actually a decent price but medium rare can run out at the end of the night. If you don’t mind noisy, crowded, and the wait, its a great place to eat. Did I mention the free peanuts while you wait?

I had the best service I’ve ever had at this Roadhouse. A man named Kenny and his Wife Danny we have also had. Amazing if you stop by you should ask for one of them! The steak was a little over cooked so I would just ask for one underneath!

Caesar salad was so good and fresh. Cinnamon butter is awesome. The ladies room needs some cleaning! Gross chicken fried chicken was a little dry and salty. Will be back, only one in abilene
