If you want to pay for a raw potato, a decent salad, and meat that the dog can not chew… then this is your place. I even called my order in with my complaints this evening… obviously not cared about… look else wear for your dinner needs

Very dissatisfied this trip, the steaks had huge cut marks where it was checked for doneness, the baked potatoes were wrapped in aluminum foil and was not hot and it was wet from sweating, I assume from being old and not fresh, we did like our quick friendly service, but the food was not up to par

I ordered steak with a baked potato and two kids meals. It was horrible! The steak was like rubber, maybe worse. The baked potato was bad. It looked disgusting. My child wanted to try it. It was so hard, it broke the fork they sent with it. The children’s chicken came cold. My daughter’s felt frozen in the middle. I called to inform them. They were not polite or helpful. Told me they will talk to their cooks and do better next time. I was staying in a hotel. The woman at the front desk said they were amazing. Only thing that was half way decent was the chips that came with it (prepackaged). Over priced for what you get.
If you are looking to find out what burnt rubber taste like, try this place.

First off.. let me sing the praise of the amazing caramelized onions this «fast food» joint offers as a side to your order. They are heavenly. Their mushrooms are great as well and come close in second place.
I have had their burgers many a time and never was i not extremely pleased with the flavor.
Their best, though, are the steaks. Perfect for those times you are on the go all day and do not feel like setting up a BBQ just to grill your steak.
You can opt for delivery or pick-​up and be sure to have your food ready to go.
The owner is a true patriot and, on Veterans Day as well as a few other occasions throughout the year, he will offer active duty and their families either free burgers or wonderful discounts.

Dang good food for a very reasonable price for big steaks. If you pick up your order, you get a free, large tea with every meal you order. I am very picky about my tea and these guys know how to make it. Not too strong and not too weak. It really is just right. The steaks taste great and they have gotten my order right every time, cooked just the way I order it. Compared to the other steakhouses in town, I think these steaks are right up there with any of them. The steaks are big, well seasoned and cooked just the way you order them. You just can’t beat that. Cheesecake is really good, as well. You get a nice, big slice of true New York style cheesecake with your choice of topping for $ 5. I think it is fabulous!

The fact that we can have a made to order steak delivered to our house with the fixings is a great idea. The steaks themselves are decent quality, nether the best nor the worst I’ve ever had. The temperature is occasionally correct, but I’m willing to overlook this due to the fact that the steak will continue to cook as it’s wrapped in foil (as it should be) for delivery.
If steak is not what you want, both the grilled chicken sandwich and the burgers are very good. The sides are average.
One of these days, we will get the steak sauce we ask for every time and the heavens will spew forth an angelic chorus the likes of which our minds have never been able to comprehend. Pigs with stand up and dance the conga. Cats and dogs will stroll paw in paw, not caring what the world thinks of their love, and kids will clean their rooms because they enjoy it.

Steak Express probably is one of the BEST places to stop when in Abilene and looking for a quick steak fix. Better than most steak restaurants, and believe me Abilene has their fair share. The menu is very minimal, but with places that run a menu that minimal my expectation is that it is perfect. Steak Express has never let me down as far as quick consistent steaks each and every time.

Great piece of meat for the price and speed. First, let’s manage expectations. This is fast food. But they’re good at what they do.
I ordered a T-​Bone medium well. It tasted excellent. The staff were professional and fast. When I got home I made my own sides and I was satisfied with the experience.
I definitely recommend this place!

A little too pricey but delicious burgers. Moved here 2 weeks ago and looking for local food. Got a double cheese burger and that fed 2 of us. 20 oz sodas are $ 2.50 each… ouch! Family meal would be the only thing I’ll get agaim, $ 35 for sirloin tips, 4 chicken breasts, 4 rolls, 4 baked potatos, 4 cookies and a gallon of sweet tea… totally doable. You can order ahead and they deliver!

Always fantastic. Always hot. Always fast. These guys know what they are doing! GREAT hamburgers and NY Strips. All of the delicious grilling smells and juiciness… none of the mess to clean up. Only negative I have: their desserts taste frozen BUT I order from there for steaks not cheesecake so 5 stars they keep!

The steaks & burgers are delicious but the philly cheesesteak is all time my favorite. I stop by here every time I’m in Abilene.
Please come to the DFW area! I know a lot of people who would love to have a steak & baked potato delivered to their offices for lunch.

I have enjoyed many good steaks from Steak Express. I think the prices are reasonable and the meals are consistent. HOWEVER, I will never order steak tips again. I’ve ordered them twice because the menu says they are tender. Both times they have been tough and overcooked. Both times my dog has eaten most of the steak because it was like jerky. NO STEAK TIPS!!!

If you get the burger rare, its phenomenal, if not, its terrible. The steak if pretty damn good, even for a fast food place. Its Texas so sometimes when you call they get a little confused and have to go ask the chef if they are even allowed to prepare food rare (reason for 4 instead of 5 stars). 95% of the time its super fast delivery, and as previously said before, loads of coupons.
