My wife and I had dinner there last night. It was excellent, great food, great atmosphere and great service! We had goat cheese croquettes(excellent) and chicken parm and dessert, all were great! Will recommend to friends!

This bistro was recommended to us by the local health food store owner as a restaurant where we could find farm-to-table fare. Although the menu did not disclaim which items were sourced locally, Figaredo’s is listed in numerous eat local guides. We walked in Saturday night at 7 with no reservation and an 8pm show at the theatre. The wait staff was very accommodating and we were sat right away. The ambiance was fresh, modern, bright and clean. The menu was full of things I wanted to order. We split the mixed greens salad, which was more interesting than you often see, with asparagus, artichoke, and a well complementing dressing. We each got a glass of affordable and tasty wine from a small wine list, including my husband’s organic malbec. They brought warm bread and an oil/balsamic plate. I got the special, eggplant parm. It had great flavor, house made marinara and pasta. He got the pasta emilia– looked like ramen noodles with shrimp, peas, tomatoes and a garlic butter sauce. We were in and out in under an hour and made our show. Great service. I would definitely return on another trip to Abingdon. It would be great to see them offer and disclaim more locally and sustainably sourced items including meats.

Food was less than mediocre. Good atmosphere. Average service. Would not recommend to friends. I’ve eaten at restaurants across the U.S. and feel this place is not near what I would expect for the cost. Average plate is around $ 20 which is overpriced for the quality of the food.

we were greeted at the door by owner Santiago Figaredo, and we choose to sit at the bar, served by Bill who provided really good service. the place has a clean, well defined look including a windowed open kitchen(very clean) that has a gas fired brick pizza oven(menu offers some very interesting pizza dishes). wait staff all wore white shirts with red aprons, kitchen staff(thru the window) showed red hats. Santiago was very friendly and we spent several minutes in conversation about the restaurant, his background in Mexico City, etc. very nice guy(his wife also a chef… at Le Cirque no less). limited beer menu, but Newcastle(!) on tap, and wine by the glass has fairly good range. companion had a tasty Spanish sauvignon blanc we startesd with tuna carpaccio… very thinly sliced tuna, arugula, shallots, sesame seeds. very good. i had to try the tortilla soup(a special), and it was bursting with flavor and had a very good portion of avacado, and crunchy tortillas. companion had seafood risotto which she said was excellent, and i had duck/prosciutto ravioli with a red wine reduction sauce which was very good, and plentiful. we were presented a dessert(tiramisu) on the house which was a nice gesture. i would definitely go there again as the menu offers some great sounding dishes, and the«atmosphere» and service is above par. a bit pricey, but to remember …“you get what you pay for” works well here.

Delicious food – from first course through to dessert! Traditional and contemporary cuisine as well as great pizzas. This is a very lovely restaurant for every day and a special occasion. Make a reservation for dinner on Saturday, as it was full when we dined. Luckily we did stop by during the day to make a reservation.
