A: for effort in the employees acting trying to make it seem like a real and serious thing. F: for everything else. Air soft guns = shooting the zombies with soft air. This place is meant for kids 15 and under. Ive been to better haunted houses for free Worth the $ 20? No unless you are kids under 18 years of age. Details: firstly i think that it is stupid how they make you go through a «physical exam» before you enter, they make you stick out your tongue and say«ahh» jump up & down and all of that. That made me uncomfortable. The guns they give you looks like you can buy it at the dollar store. They dont give you the guns they show on their promo video. When you go in a big group, the people in front get all the zombie scares and the people in the back are left hanging. This is pretty much just a haunted house with fake guns its meant for kids not adults. We were extremely disappointed on our halloween night. It ended in about 10 – 15 mins. At the end the employee asked us to review them on Unilocal. So here you go

I recently went to this place with a group of eight people on a Saturday night. We purchased our tickets from groupon which was cheaper and saved us money for a large group. When I found out that I was going here I looked up the place online and visited their website, they made the place out to be some dangerous and scary experience. They even mentioned waivers that had to be signed. We were all excited about going, although I read mixed reviews probably ranging from teeny boppers to young adults. We waited like 10 – 15 minutes to get our tickets which wasn’t bad. Then we had to wait in another line for 5 minutes before going in the building which is a huge warehouse. Then we waited another 5 minutes before getting instructions about the place. The instructor told us about how to use the air soft guns which we thought was going to be BB guns. We all was disappointed at the fact that we was playing with toy guns like we was some elementary kids. Then we waited 10 minutes to actually go into the actual obstacle course. While in the obstacle course we ran from one area to the next with zombie actors running out and us shooting our little air soft guns while they pretended to die. The whole experience ended in literally 15 minutes and us ending up in the gift shop. I have to say that I was highly disappointed with my experience and had higher expectations which weren’t met. The website and the waiver mislead us, exaggerated greatly, and promoted a experience that was sub par at most. This place talks a good game but is nothing more then a place for young kids that still think Santa is real.

EXTREMELYRUDEANDUNPROFESSIONAL! Below is an email to the owner after we were denied entrance to the facility and treated like criminals. The owner did get back to me once and basically politely accused us of obtaining the wristbands illegally. After his Employee that donated the wristbands spoke to him and assured him everything was legitimate he completely stopped writing back to me and blew the whole incident off. I did try to follow up and was completely ignored! Subject: Attn to the owner Comments: I am very upset and disappointed in the way I was spoken to last night. We won 3 wristband from a raffle in which we dropped quite a bit of money to win. We were turned away at the door saying that our wristband were not valid. They were in pristine condition and obviously had never been used/worn. When I got home I called and after speaking to two different people I was accused of having obtained them illegally. Told I should get my money back from the raffle that sold them and that the wrist bands were never used at your place. This by the way is after security at the facility said that you DID use wrist bands the first couple week. The person on the phone asked me if your company name was on them, I said no but I know I got them from a reputable source. «I don’t think so» was the response. I said that there are serial numbers on them and there is NO expiration date anywhere. I was treated like a criminal and denied entry to something we had wanted to do all season. Later I spoke to the person who got them for the raffle and it is one of your employees. She said that you did have problems with people finding ways to «reuse» the wristband so you did stop using them. In any event These ARE in pristine condition, it is painfully obvious that they have never been opened/used. She apologized for the way we were treated and told us to come back and they would put us through. At that point it was too late for us to come up as my girlfriend had to work(she is an RN and works the 3rd shift.) Not only are we now out the money that we spent on them. We did not get to go through the event we were so excited all season to do. After the way we were treated, I hope something can be done to rectify this situation.

I went last night… the line was manageble. We got in line around 6:45 and entered the building around 7:30. We were Vip but there was not a huge line of people. As far as the overall experience. It did get the heart going a little bit. With a little fine tuning it could be a great experience. I was expecting a few more zombies. It seemed that there were like 8 – 10 different zombies. Overall it was a cool experience once. Probably not twice. Even though I didn’t wait that long I would have a hard time waiting for more than a hour for 10 minutes of fun.

Good idea, terrible execution. The line situation is EXTREMELY out of hand. The line is outdoors, moves slowly, and bear in mind it’s freezing. There’s nothing available to alleviate the misery of that wait — no outdoor heaters, no enclosed tent with flaps, not even hot beverages available to purchase. The kicker? After shivering our asses off for upwards of 3 hours we finally get inside the indoor waiting area to discover a massive room that could have accommodated all of the people waiting outside, or at least comfortably allowed for 2⁄3 of the line at any given time. The experience itself? Not worth $ 20 and definitely, absolutely not worth the bizarre and shitty wait. The saving grace for this business is that it offers novelty– a new take on the haunted house idea. That– and that by the time people realize how long the wait really is, they feel there’s a sunk cost they’ve already invested and can’t turn away from. Yes, there’s a bit of an adrenaline rush during the 10 min you’re actually inside, and yes, Its fun to do especially with a group of friends but… folks, I’ve seen plenty of scarier haunted houses and gotten better, longer lasting surges of adrenaline in paintball and many other sports for that matter. This is just hype and excellent marketing. The business just wants your $$$. Otherwise they would sell out and not have people waste absurd amounts of time on line. At the very least they’d invest in any of the many cheap ways available to keep people on the line from freezing stiff. Do not fall for this gimmick like we did :-/

Can’t review the experience inside bc my friends and I only experienced the«line ride.» After an hour passed, someone(a person working there?) informed us that we had 4 – 5 hours to go before getting in. We had one person ask someone further up in line how long they had been waiting. They said they had been waiting since 6pm(place opens at 730) and by 830 they were still waiting! Disappointed! Glad I didn’t but my ticket beforehand!

I can’t really review the experience but feel the need to echo others take on the horrendous business model of this attraction. I dropped my son and two of his friends off at 6:30 tonight(friday) it is now 10:15 and they still have not entered the building… I already emailed my disgust on their website, but will be surprised if I get a response. I don’t think Barrett’s has anything to worry about as I doubt this«attraction» will be back next year with these dismal reviews.

This experience was two-fold: First, the wait, and second, the event itself. And I have to split these up because both were experiences in and of themselves. Our wait was 4.5 hours(on a Tuesday night, woah!) and the event was between 10 — 15 minutes. First, the wait. To put things into perspective, my friends and I showed up at 8:00pm on Tuesday night and used the regular admission line which costs $ 20. We didn’t think that $ 40 for VIP admission was worth it(and once everything was said and done, I’m glad we didn’t pay $ 40 for entry). The regular admission line passes around 3 times before you reach the door. When we arrived, the line started at the second pass, so we knew that we only had to wait to go up the line and back down towards the door in order to get in. Little did we know of the journey that we decided to embark on. It took us 3.5 hours before we got to the door to pay the admission fee. Once you’ve paid admission, you’ve locked yourself in to the experience, so from there on out you’re either staying or leaving without your money. And once you’ve paid, don’t think you’re jumping right into the event because that ain’t happening. After paying, your group may or may not be combined with another group, and you’re shuffled into a room inside the building with other groups who entered before you(great, another line!). We waited another hour in this waiting room, bringing our waiting time to a grand total of 4.5 hours, or waiting from 8pm on Tuesday and going into the event at 12:30am on Wednesday. Oh yay… A positive aspect of the wait: The event hosts definitely realize that the wait is excruciatingly long, so in an attempt to alleviate the boredom they do stunts like bagging waiting customers with head covers and marching the victims into a side door where they get are put in a cage to be poked and prodded by zombies. Also, occasionally, one of the event hosts will bring out a zombie attached to a chain for a little stroll amongst the crowd, Michonne-style from The Walking Dead. While these are fun and help pass the time, it makes me wonder why management doesn’t focus their efforts on finding the weak points to their execution so the whole operation can run smoother(and FASTER). Now, the event. You’re loaded up with metal airsoft guns. If you’ve never experienced airsoft before, the guns look and feel very authentic and shooting them simulates the trigger action of shooting a real gun(without the recoil and sound of shooting a real gun). This makes the whole event feel that much more realistic, which is cool. After a short intro to the rules, you’re sent in with a guide who walks with you throughout the entire event.(Note: During the rules, they will say you have«ammo». Normally, airsoft guns shoot BB’s. Don’t worry; the«ammo» they speak of is only amount of CO2 that is in the gun. Run out of that and the gun won’t fire anymore). From here, the guide leads you through the course and zombies begin jumping out at you. But with the amount of zombies attacking your group, you feel less like you’re being thrown into the thick of it and more like the clean up crew just picking up the stragglers. None of the zombie encounters felt particularly overwhelming, especially with 8 players gunning down any poor walker that stumbles into our line of sight. I also felt like some of the players in our group weren’t getting many chances to gun down their fair share of Z’s. In any case, check your corners and you’ll make it out of there, no problem. Also, kudos to the zombies: They were doing a hell of a job acting like shambling undead. All in all, the idea has great potential, but is right now poorly executed. Carrying the metal guns were cool to use throughout the run. But that’s where the positives end, really. You see, if a group is unable to really get pulled into the atmosphere of the event, then the only positive aspect of the whole thing might be the cool guns you’re using. That would be a sad experience if you had to pay $ 20 to hold some cool gun replicas and shoot a few zombies over a 15 minute period where you didn’t feel invested in the experience at all. But I could see that happening here. After a 4.5 hour wait, you’ll have a lot of feelings bottled up before entering the event. You’ll probably have discussed these feelings with your friends and have come to a consensus with one another that waiting 4.5 hours for ANYTHING just absolutely sucks(thing is, paying $ 40 for an hour wait and 15 minutes of mediocre game play also sucks too). And some of these feelings may undoubtedly kill the mood of the whole thing for you, even when you’re finally inside the event. Also, the amount of zombies in the course just didn’t really cut it. There should’ve been more. So for $ 20 you can wait a long damn time for not much, or for $ 40 you can wait a short(er) time for not much. It’s your call. Either way, you’ll probably be feeling buyer’s remorse afterwards. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Echoing others: Horrible line management. I also didn’t see any actually checking of VIP line status at the ticket window, though that line moved much faster(though still not likely to the line waiters’ liking). I’m 4hrs into the line wait on a Tuesday night(sorry, Wed morning now) and no amount of zombie killing will have been worth this. But my money was paid in advance, my ride has refused to bail, and so I forge on, tired and sore. Maybe this is some wickedly genius part of the experience. EDIT: As soon as we got into the room it was fun. I agree there were not enough zombies. 8 of us in a group = a couple of us only interacted with 1 or 2 zombies. Otherwise a lot of seeing your teammate shoot a zombie. But after a 4hr+ wait: 2 stars.

I went to this last night and it was a horrible experience. Website states it opens at 7:30 we got there at 7:45 waited for 3 hours moved 100 ft and they were using cars as barriers for the lines so people wouldn’t cut which they where. WE finally left after a 3 hour wait in the so called VIP line that moves 6 times faster according to them I bought a groupon to assure i would be rushed to the front yeah right that didn’t happen. People in the regular line got right through by the time we bailed there was no one else left in the regular line only so called VIP line which was still another 3 – 4 hr wait. They also shorten the experience from 15 min to 5 min without discounting any prices. And no crowd control no one to speak to about where to go. There was a drunk belligerent woman cutting, pushing and shoving people, she started a fight with staff and they had to mace her and her husband. The whole experience was awful and also extermly false advertised. Whoever came up with this business plan didnt think it through very well.

We went on two consecutive Sat. nights. We went the VIP route the first time and waited about 2 hours. Second time we got there at 6:30PM and waited 5 hours to get in. Yes, the attraction is unique and fun. However, I should have my head examined if I ever think to spend 5 hours for a 10 minute attraction again. Who ever came up the the VIP vs Standard ticking messed up royally. We were told that for every 200VIP ticket holders, they took 60 Standard ticket holders. Once again, it’s a fun take, but unless they figure out how to make the lines move, I’d say stay away, far away. 10÷25÷13: Where are all the comments going? There were 7(all of them negative, 1 star or 2) and now there are only 3. Who has authorization to remove them and why, other than the group getting the bad reviews, would it even be allowed?
