I really liked this place. The wine is pretty good but I think the Boneshaker is my favorite here. The staff was friendly, informative and funny. I bought a couple of bottles, some fancy mustard, and a cool poster thats framed in my home now. I can’t wait to go back!

Now I’m no wine expert, in fact this is my first wine time wine tasting. But this place was recommended by another winery. Upon entering everyone was very friendly. We were greeted by Santa and there was live music being played. I think there was some kind of event for club members, but the staff(whom I think we’re the owners) were still very responsive and friendly to my friends and I doing tasting. It’s $ 5 to taste I think it was 5 or 6 different wines. There was also lots of finger food there in which they served us a plate and told us to help ourselves to more! Such great hospitality! One of us bought a bottle and the nice lady went ahead and comped the rest of our tasting. Like I said, I don’t know wines very much so I can’t really rate the wine(though I really liked the Boneshaker), but my friends who are quite the wine drinkers enjoyed their wine(enough to buy a bottle!). We will definitely be back here when we go wine tasting again!

Ok, I’ll admit… I pictured their bottle labels looking like Russell Crowe sitting on a unicycle with Connie Nielsen at his side and Joaquin Phoenix splayed at their feet :) Like the other four wineries we’d visited this day, it was our first time there. And it was the perfect place to end our day of wine tasting. The grounds are lovely with their picnic area and the train tracks alongside(at least one train rumbled by during our stay). The tasting room is roomy, and filled with cool-looking cycling gear emblazoned with their cool logo(sadly, not my vision above!). The tasting was relaxed and informative, thanks to the input of a couple barflies(wine flies??) who had obviously been here many times before and regaled us with tipsy gleefulness about each and every wine offered. In fact, they knew about other wines NOT on the tasting menu that they just insisted we try, and we were accommodated since they and the staff were definitely on a first-name basis. It was great fun, and we must have tried at least 12 different wines(all with VERY generous pours). Let’s just say that I was filled with tipsy gleefulness by the time we left Cycles Gladiator over an hour later! Oh, we ended up buying their Syrah. Next time, I’ll get the Sip! Their service and prices were fantastic, and a good time was had by all :)

I come to this winery for one reason, and thats to buy my Sip Miscato! The best wine I have tried! I met the owners and the creators of this wine and when they shared it with me I have become addicted. I used to live close to Lodi, CA where they are located but recently moved. On my trip back, I visited them and they had my order ready for when I got there. Made sure I got a great deal and even offered to try a few other selections. Everyone here is so friendly and the wine selection is out of this world!

I absolutely love visiting this winery! Brooke & Dennis are great. I enjoyed meeting both of them & tasting the fabulous wines of Cycles Gladiator Winery. One of the many Hahn Family Wines. I first must say that I love the label on the wine bottles & the story that comes with it! Very cool stuff. The tasting room is very modern with bicycle gear & other accessories to purchase. There are a couple hand crafted bicycles that really add to the cool décor of this winery. Brooke took me through most of the wines(they have a lot & their prices are lower as opposed to other wineries in the area). I started out with the 2009 pinot grigio. It was very light & crisp. A great wine to start with on a hot day. The next taste was the Chardonnay, which I’m usually not a fan of Chardonnay. But I can’t turn down wine so I tried it & it was decent. Next up was the Pinot Noir. Again, not a huge fan of the lighter wines, but it was great for a Pinot. After that I tried the merlot, the cab(soooo good & not badly priced) & ended with the Boneshaker! I LOVE this wine! It s a great Zinfandel & a must try if you go to this winery. I bought a bottle of that… and I will be back to buy more very soon! This winery is great. It has a nice picnic area & bocce ball. Every Sunday they have live music. It’s a great place to bring the family if you are looking for something local to do for free. Go visit Brooke or Dennis! You won’t regret it!

Love them especially Dennis! They accommodated my large party, gave us a lot of wine to taste, threw in a free bottle of Bone Shaker as a birthday present that they had all my friends sign, and their prices are just right!

Loved their wines and the host was really nice. The grounds are ok so if you are looking for great ambience, this is not the place.

Excellent winery! We joined their club when they first opened and have been a regular ever since. Very friendly staff, and great wines for the price. Love the logo, and Dennis and Brook are very knowledgeable and helpful. I take everyone who visits us over too, since it’s right around the corner! I LOVE Cycles Gladiator! The 2009 Viognier is wonderful(my favorite white) and the 2010 Banned in ‘Bama is excellent as well. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a fun, relaxed atmosphere, and good wine at a reasonable price.

Wine tasting with the hubby and my parents. Our last stop was here and we only went because we got a coupon for two complimentary tastings from the Visitor Center. Walked in towards the end of the day and there was a tour group already there. The girl behind the counter looked overwhelmed with everyone there and I felt like she took it out on us. I was a little taken aback by how she spoke to us because every other winery we went to we were greeted nicely. We walked toward the counter and she asked what we needed and said that we would have to wait about 10 min and that she was going to close soon. We said it was no problem and looked around, used the restroom etc. Then she finally came to us and asked again, what we wanted. I showed her the coupon and she said we can pick 3 wines. It’s not really a complimentary tasting like the coupon says. Their regular tasting is 5 wines. She handed us the wine list and then walked away. We waited a bit till she was done with everyone else and then she came back and poured us what we picked. She wasn’t very forthcoming about descriptions or anything. I felt like I could have poured my own glass and read the bottle to get information. When we told her what type of wines we liked, she basically said we wouldn’t find them there. Bad customer service in my opinion. We just downed the rest of the wine and walked out.

Okay wines, there are plenty others to pick from in my opinon. Once again you are tasting wine so this can be a bit subjective. My personal favorite of this town: Macchia tel. +1209.333.2600 7099 East Peltier Road Acampo, CA95220 Whichever one you choose to be your best, have fun tasting !

My wife and I went wine tasting in the Lodi area for the first time during the First Sip event. My wife has gone wine tasting before, it was my first time and I absolutely had a blast. When we came to CGW we did not know what to expect, the new Moscato that they were taste testing by the door was the best wine I have ever tasted. That just made our day; so much that my wife bought two right then and there. We are looking forward to getting our bottles. Thank you for an awesome and memorable time.
