This is a really great place — the staff is super friendly. My 2 year old son had such a great time painting, playing play dough, using chalk, and coloring! We will definitely be returning!

I can’t say enough positive things about ColorFull and the owner, Stacey(we also love Hera too. she’s an art instructor there). It’s a beautiful, open, welcoming, creative and(as the name suggests) colorful space and it’s so obvious that Stacey has put considerable thought and love into making it so. For those who have never been, ColorFull offers drop-in art studio hours which is what I do with my almost 3 yr old daughter. Stacey has a new theme and/or famous artist or art style she chooses every week and then she sets up a number of tables with different projects to represent the theme. There are usually 3 or 4 tables with projects and then there is always a table with play-dough(often homemade. sometimes scented and with sparkles… awesome stuff) and a huge wall where the kids can paint. The quality of materials they use are top-notch and the kids will come home with really beautiful pieces of art that you will want to keep(I won’t call them crafts because the kids are making so much more than that). I recently took my daughter when the theme was Claude Monet’s «Magpie» and we came home with the cutest cut-out bird family decorated with bright watercolors and twisted colored wire to hang them up in our house. You pay by the hour. and I think if I recall correctly you can buy a pack of visits that work out to be less per visit. The first time we went, my daughter was a little younger and lasted 45 minutes so I was only charged for that time rather than a full hour. I know ColorFull also has classes. although my daughter is a little too young for them now, I look forward to when I can sign her up in years to come. I also see ColorFull frequently doing what look to be amazing birthday parties when I drive by on the weekends. I would have loved to go to a party there when I was a child. I live in West Acton so I consider ColorFull to be a very important part of my neighborhood and I really want it to succeed. I have had as much fun creating things there as my daughter and it has reminded me how much I miss doing stuff like that. Please don’t hesitate to check out this true gem!

Colorful is a wonderful creative play space for kids. We had taken our 2, now 3 year old to several open studio sessions there and she loved the various art stations. There was painting beading, playdoh just to name a few all nice open ended art that kids could really do either self-directed or with a little help from a parent. We like the studio so much that we recently held my daughter’s 3rd birthday there and it was just wonderful. First off Stacey the owner is lovely to work with, our girl is all about princesses and fairies so we had a variety of art projects that included magic wands, crowns, and fairy wings. All the girls had smiles on their faces, the parents had an enjoyable time and all we had to do was add the pizza and cupcakes! The kids were so excited to have such fun activities and it was a wonderful afternoon. If you have a youngster, girl or boy, who likes to be creative and imaginative we would highly recommend Colorfull for a drop in session or a birthday party!

We recently had my son’s 5th birthday party here. I was looking for somewhere different from the typical indoor playground or bouncy house and this place turned out to be great. Stacey gave us ideas for a theme and when my son picked the theme she gave us ideas for projects. Five year old(mostly) boys are tough, but she kept them busy and happy the whole time. We’ve definitely been around the circuit of typical party locations so all the parents were really impressed with this one. I can’t wait to bring him back someday for a workshop.

If you have kids, this place is a gem! We went to their open studio them with my 2.5 yo. There were several different stations set up with different mediums to work with so he could move from painting, to creating a multi-media picture, to play dough, to painting beads. They change their theme(based on an particular artists work) every week. The woman there(I believe the owner) was lovely and worked great with the kids. I am so glad to find this place and am planning many more visits there.

Met a friend here so our 3yo kids could«do art» together during open studio time. What a fantastic place! Large variety of art supplies set out on workstations for the kids to explore at their leisure. The owner is great with the kids, and has a theme each week which she explains to the kids when they first arrive. But even with the theme, kids are free to use the supplies as they like. Lots of space for kids to not feel crowded. $ 12/hour for open studio time.

My kids love this place! The kids can play with paint, clay, crayons, pencils, glue, glitter, pipe cleaners… basically anything a kid could want to make a mess with. And the beauty is, you don’t have to clean up the mess! The staff is exceptional and the location is perfect. I highly recommend it.
