Dunkin’ Donuts

You can never go wrong with Dunkin. This location is no exception. The product is great and the service was quick.

A New England institution that serves you your daily iced coffee (and only the occasional donut, despite the iconic name).
As a two-​decade resident of MA, they garner four alone for having the iced coffee I can no longer acquire in the great state of Texas. Only RI’s Marylou’s out does iced coffee, due to their flavor options. Sadly, nothing in TX compares.
Why five stars? After living in Austin for five years & being away from MA for that long, you realize not everyone is in a bad mood due to horrible weather & people can actually be pleasant. This DD had the friendliest staff I encountered all week. Keep it up, DD of Acton!

Today, I was totally sucked into heading to Dunkin Donuts, all for a free old-​fashion donut (guess it’s National Donut Day), better known as 280-​calorie, 160-​of-​which-​are-​from-​fat cake. Wahoo! No trans fats, except for the extra fat flying «across» and «through» my body. Whatever. I haven’t had a donut in years, and I’m not sure if it were my imagination or what, but the donut looked punier than I remember. Eh. Fewer calories.
I felt guilty just asking for a free donut, so I also ordered a medium hot coffee (at 1 p.m.). The counter person looked at me strangely and asked if I meant «ice coffee,» and I said no. Horrors. I felt like I committed a sin by not ordering a cold beverage.
This Dunkin Donuts is the same as all the others, but it’s not that easy to make a left turn onto Rte 27 if there’s a lot of traffic. The people who work here are pretty friendly, unlike those at some of the other «Dunks» I’ve frequented.
Good thing I won’t be around tomorrow, cuz it’s Free Ice Cream Day from noon to 5:00 p.m. (June 6) at Friendly Ice Cream stores. Haven’t had Friendly Ice Cream since my girls were little. However, we have had the Wattamelon roll, which is a family favorite.
Only three stars because I don’t feel donut shops (except for the gourmet establishments) merit four or five.

I have been to many dunkin donuts in all of my years (because I am such a wise and old woman. jk). I’ve just been to many dunkin donuts across New England and this one by far is my favorite. The service is always great, friendly, and prompted. The people there are incredibly nice which is very refreshing early i the morning.
