Horrible. If I could give zero stars, that would best explain why I am giving one star. The one star is for the puppy that strolled up to me in the lobby. BECAUSEPUPPIESAREADORABLEANDTHEBEST. I was tempted to steal said puppy… but we were traveling with a neurotic kitty. Anyway. For some reason, north of Atlanta, GA had all hotels booked. No idea why. So I called Choice Hotels phone number, instead of calling individual hotels, and asked them to find me a hotel that was reasonably priced nearby that allowed pets AND had a vacancy. It was past midnight, and we couldn’t reserve online because of stupid clocks. The person on the phone reserved a room for us in the Econo Lodge. We were relieved. We got there, and tried to check in, and the clerk told us that they don’t actually have any rooms available because they’re short staffed and housekeeping didn’t clean all the rooms. It was during that disappointment that the little puppy came up to me. After reading the Unilocal reviews, I’m glad we didn’t stay, because I can’t imagine it having gone well.
