I’ve been meaning to stop in and try Sidelines Grille on Cobb PKWY in Acworth. I opened the door and was blasted by a wave of heavy cigarette smoke. I enjoy stogies but cigarettes, not so much. It was too overwhelming. I did a 180 and back outside into the heavy pollen. Smokers, this is your spot. I noticed a lot of TVs. They keep it dark like a bar. Ashtrays everywhere. I didn’t stay long enough to try any foods. Good luck.

Good neighborhood sports bar. Lots of tv screens to watch games on. Decent selection of draft beers. Smoking is allowed and even though there were only a dozen people there smoke was in the air, I can’t imagine what it would be like if they were busy. They have a brand new menu with lots of choices: many appetizers, salads, dinner plates, wings, sandwiches, burgers and desserts. I had a French dip sandwich with Mac & Cheese for the side. The sandwich was tasty and the Mac & Cheese was super creamy smooth. My husband got the Italian burger with tots. He asked for cheese on them and they were smothered! The burger was overcooked; the bartender had the kitchen make a new one that was medium rare. The second burger was cooked right and tasted good. We’ll definitely be back!

Typical neighborhood bar. Smoking inside is disgusting but it’s a bar so I guess you know that going in… The food is surprising really decent though and they have a good mix of beer on tap and keno. One of the better late night places in the area.

The worst place ever! Do not waste your time! We ordered extra crispy wings only to get super soggy ones 40 minutes later, when we asked to send it back it took another 30 minutes to not get the order and cancel it as a result. Bartender Justin with anger issues and greasy hair got upset and got verbally abusive and told us to get the fucking check and get the fuck out, so much for Southern hospitality. Not to mention the fact that the first waiter who took our order never made an appearance again. If you are into stinky bars, rude waiters and no food you should come and check out the place.

This is the worst bar I have been to in Georgia by far! An order of wings takes 30 mins… when it came out after having requested them to be extra crispy they were completely soggy. We sent them back and after waiting another half hour decided we would go somewhere else. It is at this point that we were verbally assaulted by the bar tender Justin(little matchstick with a pony tail who clearly has aggression issues due to the fact that he can’t come out of the closet) because he was upset with the fact that I told him wings shouldn’t take 30 minutes to fry. The place stinks, servers look like a bunch of drop outs, clients look like a bunch of degenerates. Waste of time.

This place is pretty low key. My friends and I usually come here after a long day of work. Ted is super cool and knows what we order every time we come in. It’s a little bit smoky in here which can be a pro or a con depending on if you smoke or not. Bottom line is this place is pretty cool.

I would’ve given this place 4 stars if it wasn’t for the fact that our waiter literally left us and never came back. She took our order for drinks and said she’d come back in a couple minutes to take our food order. After disappearing for 25 minutes I see her just talking to co-workers in the back. Are you kidding me? I had to get another waiter to take our order, who apologized and quickly took our orders. I came here with a Groupon so I ordered a bunch of food, and it was all delicious, so no complaints there. The bacon & cheese-covered fries were the best, and they give you large portions so you get your money’s worth. I’ll definitely come back again, but I’m going to make sure I don’t get stuck with the same waiter that deserted us. The reviews referring to the place being a smokey environment are true. I’m not a fan of cigarettes so it’s a little annoying but what else can you expect from a bar.

This location is good for grabbing a drink and watching a game on one of their many TVs. However, it wouldn’t be my first choice for food, cleanliness or great service. If you want a place to party, it’s not bad. Not a classy or family friendly place though.

Smokey Joint!!! My friend and I decided to meet up here after work one night. I don’t smoke but it seems like everyone in this place did, so we were seated on the other side where no one else was(our waitress was cool like that) we happen to be there on a night where they had half off in they wine menu, so we ordered a bottle of wine, our waitress was so good, she brought us out a taster before we decided to buy the bottle. The menu was surprisingly good, it wasn’t your typical bar menu, I mean they actually have food, food. Lol I wasn’t really starving, so I ordered from the appetizer menu, our waitress suggested the sampler which came with potatoes skins, wings & cheese sticks and tenders. Everything was hot and good. My friend order the Cajun shrimp with a side of home fries. The shrimp were so good, they were served on a bed of Jasmine rice. The service was great, the prices were right and the food was good, my only complaint would be the smokey atmosphere. I do believe they would get more business if they were to band the smoking.

Great TVs, but that’s it. The place was gross – sticky floors, torn leather benches, dirty tables. Prices for drinks were really high, the food was terrible, and the smoke was bad. Definitely won’t be going back.

We’ve been coming here for years and always appreciate the good food, friendly staff, and great friends. The wings are amazing and they do free wings on Friday nights. I noticed some reviews spoke about it being smokey. People smoke at this bar/grill, therefore yes there is smoke, but it’s nothing like other bars where your clothes smell the next day. I recommend Sidelines for the friendly and attentive staff and great food/drinks.

I used to take my family here once a week on trivia night before they turned into a 21 and over establishment. They have the best shrimp and grits around. It rivals some of Atlanta’s best restaurants that serve this dish and charge a lot more. Now it’s a nice sports bar and a good place to grab a drink.

Great place on Sundays! $ 2/18oz bottles(bud lt., coors lt.) & the wings were delicious. I went with 2 big guys who can ‘put some beers away’ & our tab was $ 40. Awesome! We found our new gameday hangout. They do allow smoking inside. As a non-smoker I was a little weary, but the tall ceilings & the ventilation made it okay. Also, they have like 15 – 20 tvs and one big projection screen. Fantastic! Service at our table wasn’t great, but not horrible. I will just sit at the bar next time.

This is a great place to visit if you want mediocre food; bad service; dirty floors and restrooms. The upside was that you can leave smelling of smoke if your into that kinda aroma. It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve been there but the memory lingers like the smoke. After a 10 minute wait for the drink order, I ordered their rendition of surf and turf with the turf medium-rare. When I arrived, I cut it open and it was brown all the way through. I explain to the server that it was overcooked and she took it away only to come back to tell me the her manager said«that’s the way we serve medium-rare». I complimented the manager on her culinary expertise and chose not to eat it. But that’s not the end of the story. My friend Eric, ordered a chicken wrap and they brought a steak wrap. He did eat it while I was having my discussion with the manager. The next day he was sick as a dog and was confined to being within 20 feet of a commode for the next two days.

Very smokey… even when the place is nearly empty for lunch, the cigarette smokes permeates from the tables and chairs. On the other hand, for bar food, it really good quality. They have very reasonable lunch specials and a friendly staff. Great side items — my favorite is the green beans… they are not soggy. They are of the same quality that you would find in a higher-end restaurant. Chicken philly and quesadilla are also excellent.

Been here a few times later in the night(11pm on), usually for a night cap or two after being out to dinner. It’s close to where we live so it’s an easy stop. First the bad: Usually packed with drunk kids in the 19 – 28 are range. Guys out number girls 3:2. Very, very, very smoky! Floors are usually filthy with empty beer bottles(sometime broken) or cans. Bathroom are horrendous with over flowing trash bins, kids who seem to intentionally miss the bowl and pee on everything but the center of the toilet… The good: Food is good bar food that comes out fast and is reasonably priced. Bar tenders are usually attentive, though there is the usual having to break their attention from their friends who seem to monopolize their time. That being said, they will serve you fast and drinks/beer are reasonably priced. I guess if your 25 and are looking for cheep beer, food and guys in a college bar atmosphere, with people who clearly will never go to college, this is your place!!!

I’ve been enjoying this Sidelines location every week for the past year or so — they host Team Trivia, and our group makes a point to play and enjoy the food. Don’t miss the beer battered fish and chips, or the wings, or the AMAZING chef salad(enough for 3 or 4 people!) They also make an amazing shrimp and grits dish that would make Paula Dean proud — very coastal Savannah! The staff is friendly, and the restaurant itself is ½ bar, ½ restaurant, with gorgeous flat screens on the walls(and even in some of the booths!) Do note that this location is age 18 and up only, which might be an aggravation or a blessing(depending on your point of view.)
