Unfortunately my friends and I had a HORRIBLE experience here. We walked in and placed a to go order. While we were waiting at the bar for our order, my sunglasses were stolen from right next to us, off of the bar! The staff and manager were decently helpful in aiding us to search for them, but did not by any means go above and beyond. There was no remorse or apology when we left without the sunglasses which we had when we walked in. The food was not good either. Simple hummus was bad and the pita was dry lacked taste. I wish our experience had been better.

Been by here a few times and everything that we have tried has been delicious. Chicken is very tender and is easily my favorite. Will continue to visit this place. Love it!

This is the best Middle Eastern restaurant I’ve been to. We got take out and tried their falafel as well a lamb wrap. The authenticity and flavors were perfect! The price is moderate but if you want a real taste of Middle Eastern cuisine, you can get it here!

We have been twice in the last week. Food was good, but the service was terrible both times. The restaurant was very slow during both of our visits, so we couldn’t understand why we didn’t see our server for long periods. During both visits, it took an extremely long time to get our check. This is very difficult when dining with children. We’ll be taking a break from this restaurant. The food is good, but doesn’t make the poor service worthwhile.

Delicious and tender — not something you can often say about many middle eastern restaurants that tend to cook the tender right out of the meat. Everything on the menu is delicious, but the Shrimp Turko is fantastic. The rice pilaf is also delicious — so buttery tasting. I’m a fan of the Turkish tea, which comes in a tiny clear glass cup and saucer — more for sipping than drinking. Our family LOVES the saganaki, flamed at tableside and so very good. I just wish that they made their own pita bread, like other places do. They’d get 5 stars with that one change.

I’ve been coming here for many years, especially in my high school days, whenever my best friend(who was born and raised in Israel) and I were craving some legit Middle Eastern food. Zeytin became our most consistent dinner date spot, and ever since those days, it has remained a special-occasions-only restaurant for me, as i’ve had a handful of bday and celebration dinners there through the years. I came here again for my birthday last week, after some years of having not lived in GR, and oh boy, it brought me back in all the best ways, and i had a lovely, relaxing meal with my dad and i was even given a complementary plate of baklava(my favorite dessert EVER) w/a birthday candle! So generous! Such crisp, classy ambience, excellent service, and of course, their food is to die for. Not to mention I would pay good money for their babaganoosh recipe. And the prices are surprisingly reasonable, considering how posh and delicious everything is. Perfection. They needn’t change a thing

I have been to this restaurant several times and they always serve great food and outstanding service. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The kebabs are great, but the Shrimp Turko is my favorite. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Iskender. I have no idea what the name means… I’ve had it many times here. Every time I say the same thing… One of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Really like this place. Busy at lunch… waitress was on point. Was aware of conversation that shouldn’t be interrupted… high end experience

Maybe they were having an off day. Unilocal reviews were high, we were driving through town, so we stopped in for lunch. This is going to sound snobby, I don’t mean it to: I’ve been to Turkey twice — the food I had at Zeytin’s did not carry my tastebuds back to Turkey. The falafel was dry and the portion was skimpy for $ 8. The hummus was fresh, flavorful, and the texture was nice. We had the gyro plate and the stuffed eggplant — flavors and presentation were average at best. In my opinion, a Turkish restaurant should always serve oven fresh bread — it’s a staple in the culture — Zeytin’s bread was cold and stiff. Service was slow, but, to be fair, the restaurant seemed understaffed.

In Grand Rapids for business and found Zeytin’s in the visitor guide provided in our hotel room. My husband and I like to try different cuisines so we decided to give it a go. We loved everything about it. I ordered the Zeytin Special which had a variety of meat preparations. Definitely more than I could eat but that’s ok because my husband can have it tomorrow. My husband had the Turkish beer and plans on looking for a retailer to buy some for home.

The smell when you walk in is intoxicating. The ambience is upscale and the cuisine is presented very well. We started with the appetizer platter which was a variety of dips that went well with pita. The baba Ghanoush and hommos were very fresh and tasty and almost had a hint of refreshing citrus. For dinner I had one of the tastiest lamb dishes I have ever had. It was lamb with red sauce and yogurt sauce on top of pieces of crispy pita that had been soaked in both sauces just long enough to be crispy and moist at the same time. All of our guests also loved their entrees and devoured them. Prices were not too bad for the cuisine. Would absolutely come here again.

Oh man. This place was a-mazing. I’ve been to Turkey and I love Turkish food, and I went here with Turkish friends. We all agree this place was absolutely top notch. Right now we’re in the car nursing our full and happy bellies. The food was of the highest quality, like the fancy restaurants in Istanbul. I never liked liver, but the liver with the spices onions and peppers made me a believer. We had the Zeytin special platter to try the meats and it was all good, particularly the kofte. The Iskender Kebap(separate from the Special) was heavenly. Hakan was our waiter and he was super nice, funny and attentive. Try whatever you eat with the traditional Turkish drink, raki. And then finish it off with some Turkish çay(tea). Ada, you’re lucky.

I’ve been twice so far, ordering different things each time, and loved everything I’ve tried both visits. The eggplant salsa is just… ugh…I want to eat it all day every day. Simply put, the portions are big, the service is great, and the prices are reasonable. I love Zeytin!

Delicious. Well worth the drive. They were very nice and the food was great. I would have liked to have tried more and if I am ever back in town I will. I felt the food was very good and well prepared and presented. The flaming cheese was very soft and crusty served on what must have been a 500 deg. iron skillet. Fried cheese? Sign me up. The spinach chicken, a house specialty was very flavorful. The chicken was well seasoned, artfully prepared and perfectly cooked. I also had the lentil soup and Baklava. Both were great. Not being that familiar with Turkish food in particular(I’ve had Persian and Indian), they seem to use a lot of butter which was not to my liking. Not that butter is not great… It just felt overpowering in the spinach. Kind of like too much butter in your popcorn… still great but hard to finish. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The hostess and server were very nice and courteous. I will definitely go back. If there was a 4 ½ star rating I would give it.

I stopped in for lunch and sat at the bar. I ordered the shrimp kabob which came out quick and was nice not having a lot of time at lunch. It came with a side of rice and it all tasted very good. My only problem was the portion size was pretty small. I’m not a huge eater, but 5 small/medium size shrimp seemed a little skimpy to me. The side dish of rice and veggies were nice. The pictures on here look much better than what I had. I might go back and try something else.

I think this is a great place to get mid eastern style food considering it’s not in Dearborn. Good grapes leaves, shish ka bob and schwarma. Also great pita bread. I know it’s Turkish and not Lebanese, but there’s a lot of overlap and if you like Lebanese food, you’ll like Zeytin. A great place to have a meal after a few pints at Gravel Bottom brewery fifty yards away.

This place is good food r lunch and dinner. Well maintained and also can hold large parties with a private small room for hanging out with friends. Food tastes great and priced very reasonable. Some of the items on menu are halal but you need to confirm with the head chef there. The new waiters are not Muslims so they won’t know what you are talking about. Try their rice pudding it will make you want to go India.

Easily one of the best meals I have ever had in the West Michigan area. I had the Lamb Hummus and it was so full of flavor and amazing textures that I thought I was going to cry when it was all over. The staff were all very attentive and the prices were very reasonable. The ambiance was typical if a nicer strip mall restaurant. But none of t mattered, the food was so fantastic it could have been served on paper plates in an alley and I would have been happy.

Excellent food in this nice Mediterranean eatery located across from Amway in Ada. Full selection of all your favorites and nice wine menu to choose from. They also have a happy hour until 6 which includes reduced prices on appetizers and drinks. I had a few of the appetizers including the dolmas and the eggplant salsa. both were very good. For the main dish, I had a chicken dish(cant recall the name) which was full of flavor. Give this place a try if you are in the Ada area.
