First visit here. We started with an order of carpaccio which happens to be one of our favorites. The slices of meat had the perfect thickness to it and tasted great. Our server offered to sprinkle Parmesan on it but I think he could’ve offered some ground pepper(which I should’ve asked). I then had the fettuccine carbonara. The bacon(guanciale or pancetta?) were sliced smaller and had cooked through but still complimentary of the dish. It also was served with two eggs on top which was a treat for me. The restaurant had a nice ambience to it with good lighting. Noise level was above average(it was a Friday night).

We went here last evening, a Thursday. We had out of town guests so we wanted to make a good impression and did we ever by choosing to have dinner here! We had not been here in a long time due to having moved up on a lake and it was too far a drive but now we live back in Plano. Noticed on Unilocal that some reviews were not so good but when I looked on their site and saw new owners plus Antonio, the original chef was back, I thought«why not?’. Fantastic choice! The food was outstanding, service stellar, and the atmosphere romantic! The four of us all had different dishes and none of them but beyond amazing! Our guests were so impressed! Antonio’s offers a large selection of wines in all price ranges. The portions for the entrees were way more than enough! And the calamari… some of the best ever! I highly recommend you give this place a visit especially if you are looking for a romantic, pampered place to relax and enjoy!

We’ve had mixed experiences at Antonio Ristorante. The first was a good 18months ago and was so disappointing we had no desire to go back. A couple of weeks ago during the hot weather we ventured in to try their Sunday Brunch as their patio has an area where dogs are allowed and we were out with our newborn and our dog. Our server was great and we were pleased with the brunch menu(although not very Italian, it was certainly delicious and abundant). Having had this good experience we wondered if there had been a change of management and decided to stop in for Lunch during the Holidays. Unfortunately the food was just average(and once again not very Italian) however what made it so disappointing was our server. He never offered his name for a start so I unfortunately cannot call him out. He seemed to have just woken up, his presentation was not a patch on all the other servers who were very smart and bubbly, interacting with their customers. His accent was so gruff we had difficulty in understanding him which lead to us all being pretty disappointed with the specials of the day as these were not clearly communicated to us. He never offered menus or a wine list both of which we had to ask for and honestly he made us feel like we were a nuisance to him as though it was our fault he had to work. When the food is so average as it is in Antonios there has to be another reason to bring you in some of which for me are as follows: Location Ambience /setting Child /pet friendly Service Antonios is well located for us, and it’s décor & setting is just wonderful at all times of the year however the service needs to be of a high standard to make up for what it lacks in authentic Italian cooking. After our first visit I’d have rated 2 stars After our second visit recently for brunch I would have given 4 stars however Tuesday’s lunch deserves 1 star and that is why I’m giving it an overall 2 stars. Signor Antonio o chiunque sia il padrone, Le prego di contattarmi se abbia bisogno d’ulteriori informazioni riguarda la nostra ultima esperienza da voi.

This place cranks out the most delicious Italian food I’ve had in DFW. Top that off with the most adorable, cozy ambience and amazing service, and Antonio Ristorante earns 5 glowing stars in my book. Easily made a reservation through opentable. A perfect round table for four was waiting for us in full view of the fab Christmas tree out on the patio. This place is decked out in full Christmas gear for the season, which I absolutely love. Our server was Mo, and he was professional yet funny and has clearly been doing this job for years longer than I could afford to eat at nice restaurants. Service was perfect. You get a basket of crusty bread and a couple packages of these crunchy Italian breadsticks to start(my hub remembered those from his very Italian childhood). Mo rattled off a ton of specials that were offered in addition to the extensive menu. We went with the oysters florentine app special(cheesy and decadent) and split a caprese app(super fresh mozzarella). For my entrée I ordered the carbonara which was the best I’ve ever had. And carbonara tends to be my go-to at Italian places. Here, the poached egg on top is cooked to perfection so that when you cut into it, the yolk just oozes out over all of the pasta and pancetta. Combine that with the fresh parmesan and cracked pepper that gets sprinkled all over the dish right as it’s served and I just inhaled every single deliciously creamy bite. We all shared a bottle of malbec, and I have no idea exactly which bottle it was but it was excellent. Mo did a fantastic job of keeping our glasses full. We never once had to pour for ourselves. For dessert, we went with the recommendation of a random guest who was walking past us as we ordered and hubs & I shared the banana crème pie. My friend got the blueberry cobbler special and I sort of had dessert envy, but not enough to knock off a star. If you like your desserts to come with a generous topping of fluffy whipped cream, you will love the banana cream pie. Can’t wait to come back. Definitely«our» Italian place from here on out.

The chef has taken ownership, and the food shows it! Also the level of service seems to be more professional in nature. I think he is unfettered as you can really taste this in the food. Much more like«the passion» in the food, as is the case in Italy. I had the bruschetta and Signore Bart, a Roman style piccante(that’s spicy) tomato based linguini with shrimp. It was excellent. And while the wine list is solid, and priced like most American restaurants, unfortunately each visit has yielded very short pours on a single glass of wine, so unless you order a bottle you will feel slighted. Perhaps you might order tea or a beer if dining alone.

Astonishingly good! Had a Caesar salad that was the best I’ve ever had. The chicken Marsala was divine. Chef Antonio pulls it off. A must visit.

We tried this place for the first time last night via carryout. Very good, authentic Italian. I had the fettuccine Alfredo and my husband had the carbonara, both were different than we’ve ever had before but we enjoyed it! We also ordered garlic bread, it was burnt, so minus 1 star for that. Seems like they just take their house bread and add cheese and crisp it up.

Really great food, but had a pretty bad experience last night. After my friend and I finished our big walk in the evening we decided to eat at Antonio’s. Yes I admit, we weren’t dressed in fancy attire, but we asked to sit outside. Our waitress asked if we wanted anything from the bar, we declined(I’m pregnant) and she rolled her eyes. We both ordered full entrees, but we definitely felt like she was treating us differently than her other customers. When we asked for a refill on bread and olive oil she snapped and said the other lady is bringing it directly in my face. Had to ask multiple times for her to refill my drink and continued to feel judged. My gnocchi was wonderful, but if I continue to receive this kind of service from Antonio’s I’ll get gnocchi somewhere else.

Quiet, cozy, nice wine selection. Perfect for a lovely date night. Definitely a place to sit, relax and mingle. I can see myself coming back for a drink. And to try the food.

Excellent Italian spot that is great for date night! Our server was very prompt and attentive, he brought out some delicious bread with seasoned olive oil right as we sat down. We ordered the Mozzarella Caprese for an appetizer; it was very flavorful and had a great balsamic glaze. For dinner, I got the Carbonara and my fiancé ordered the tortellini. My entrée was delicious and I have zero complaints. My fiancé enjoyed her tortellini, but I was not a fan of it when she gave me a taste, the cream sauce was not the best. All in all, a good spot for taking a date or enjoying a dinner with family.

Had a very nice dinner here a few nights ago. The staff is what made the evening stand out. Everyone enjoyed the meal and we will return to enjoy some time on the patio and explore the menu more. One in the party at the chicken parm and said that for someone who doesn’t like that dish generally she is a fan of Antonio’s. We did enjoy the meat balls to start and the house tomato sauce is fantastic. When I return I will have to try a dish with it.

Nice indoor and outdoor dining space right off of Addison Circle. Quick service with reasonable prices too! I enjoyed the minestrone soup and a caprese salad for lunch… delicious!

I’d recommend Antonio’s in a HEARTBEAT! I came here last night for the first time and am already craving it again. For starters we ordered the Buffalo Mozzarella appetizer, ohhhh man was it good. The mozzarella was so fresh and the tomatoes sweet and full of flavor. They top it off with a pesto sauce that is out of this world! Main course for me was a shrimp pasta that I’ll be craving from here on out. HUGE shrimp that are so fresh, and plenty of them! They definitely don’t skimp on your servings here. Tossed with a garlic and white wine sauce, so simple but so perfect. They even made it a little bit spicy when I asked, so nice! Dessert…you’re crazy if you don’t try the mousse! Not only is the place beautiful, the staff sets the example of what customer service used to be… Top notch! Chef Antonio is obviously passionate about his work and simply refuses to send out anything he isn’t sure meets perfection. Go and enjoy a nice evening on the patio, it’s so nice to be right on Addison circle but yet in an environment that makes you feel so comfy and relaxed. I’ll be returning, and soon!!!

I found Antonio Ristorante simply by driving by. When every other trendy restaurant has an hour wait(on a Monday, nonetheless), we were seated within minutes… Yup, no wait – take that, trendy places! *said very snarky* Wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable about the wine selection, prompt and attentive. I ordered the veal parmigiana… Since I’m sensitive to garlic, they gladly put the marinara sauce on the side, just in case it was too overbearing for my liking… After a cautious tasting, the sauce was perfect, as well as the entire meal! The ambiance is «old world» Italian, with a comfortable outside patio… Covered and comfortable without being too hot in the summer. This is a great place for a romantic dinner, it’s quiet and comfortable. I’m for sure going back!

A while back, I met at this restaurant for lunch with some of my coworkers. I remember ordering salmon with shrimp, which happened to be that day’s special. The restaurant was fairly empty, yet the service took a while. I’m not really sure why we experienced such slow service since we were the only one’s sitting in our area of the restaurant. Speaking of the restaurant, it had an old romance look to it. I am sure it would surely fit the mood at night with dimmed lights. Overall, the food was good, but the experience wasn’t all that great to have me in a hurry to go back.

I’m biased but I still have to give a review. :) The restaurant used to be owned by some one else… and i’ll just leave it at that. If you went and didn’t like it in the past couple years, it’s a completely different place now. But Chef Antonio is here now… and It’s not very often you find authentic Italian food cooked by an Italian chef that has cooked for billionaires and CEOs and celebrities for over 40 some years. Chef Antonio only uses the freshest of the fresh ingredients. His dishes are appetizing and satisfying and there is something on the menu to please every palate. He loves his customers and the service people are friendly and helpful. It’s an excellent place for a date or special occasion. The patio is very pretty and on a beautiful day, it feels like Tuscany. At night it’s all lit up and lovely. It’s a family friendly atmosphere. They have free valet parking for their customers which is a plus! Sunday Brunch on the patio with a mimosa is my favorite place to be in Dallas.

First Astoria Caffee and now Antonio — I’m ready to move to Addison Circle! I enjoyed a very nice business lunch here last Tuesday. I was immediately taken by the ambience — very warm and beautifully decorated for the holidays. The lunch menu offered a plethora of choices, with something to suit every palate. My business colleague enjoyed her ahi tuna salad, and my Penne Pasta with Italian Sausage was delicious. I’ve added this to my ever-increasing list of places I must take my wife for dinner; looking forward to that!
