Service could be better but wonderful, relaxed décor. Had the lobster bisque(tasty maybe an 8:10), filet was excellent. House can also very nice. Not sure if I’ll return. Ruth Chris or III Forks experience seemed better, but this place still okay

I like going there to eat and hang out at the bar, they have a dance floor and a great singer and piano player nightly, I believe.

I’ve driven by Arthur’s countless times and finally decided to stop and come in. Live music on a Thursday is not bad, smooth jazz/oldies. Bar area is all open seating but I choose to sit at actual bar(lol). Crowd appears to be 55 and up… Where they can actually dance as couples more than the basic two-step. Staff is friendly. I’ll post another review for what I ate

I loved my recent experience at Arthur’s and thought I found my new favorite place. So disappointed that such a lovely place would allow the disgusting habit of smoking indoors and I won’t be able to visit again. I’m sure I won’t be missed, the restaurant is quite lovely, the atmosphere is romantic, and the food was most enjoyable — making it a great place for smokers and those forced to tolerate them. I’m just as interested enjoying my hundred dollar meal sitting next to a smoker as I am sitting next to screaming toddlers vying for the crown of top tantrum. Despite the smoking policy and my being unable to return, I would still give the restaurant five stars, but for the waiter who doused himself in aftershave or cologne before his shift. I wondered why he was not ejected when he showed up at work reeking, but now realize the olfactory senses of the staff are far too damaged from years of abuse at this establishment to notice the offensive cloud following the waiter in question. Smokers unite and enjoy!

Wife and I had dinner there last night for the 1st time. Liked the place and the Waiter was well polished and that is the only reason I gave them two stars. My wife’s steak was so under cooked she had to send it back. It went down hill from there. It came back tasting like it had been rolled in charcoal. When we complained about the meat our waiter once again apologize and was willing to get it right. However the«chief» switch the cut to a lesser quality steak this one was cooked, however it was extremely tough and chewy and for the cost every disappointed. Again we complain to the waiter, but no other apologizes from the Manager or «chief». Sorry guys you get one shot, too many choices to go back and fix the meal. We will not return or the other couple with us. Wow… Received answer from Arthur’s still no apologies, but asked for us to return and try a different cut of meat. Dear Arthur’s, you still don’t get it! You have one shot to make customers happy. If the experience wasn’t good the 1st time why would we return?

We have been coming to our neighborhood Arthur’s for the last eight years for Thanksgiving; it’s now become a tradition with us get a booth here and book a month ahead of time so that we can enjoy World Class Customer service by the same guy, who always seems to go above and beyond for us. Until now??? This time it was drastically different, but the service was and has always been superb, just as we expected. It was the food and lack of attention to the details of our orders which prompt this less-than stellar review: First of all — let it be known — it is $ 48.00 per person on T-Day. That being said, we had one vegetarian and one carnivore in our 2-person party… We reserved a booth where we always reserve it, where it was quiet. However, the newly-installed, flood LED lights shot directly into our eyes when the curtain was open(and it seemed to always be open after the waiter left, so we had to keep getting up and pulling it closed –I don’t want light in my eyes, nor nosey guests peaking into the booth, watching me eat, for that matter!) We also noticed for the first time that there was a rather loud, crying baby during dinner svc(what is this, Furr’s???”, Come On Guys!) We told the waiter we wanted to have drinks first, then dilly-dally a little, then food. Pretty clear, simple, right? We even marked on the paper menu *exactly* what we wanted… Had $ 50 in drinks and immediately found the Brie Soup in our places, each with precisely ONE tiny croûton in a small saucer type dish you could barely eat from, holding maybe a generous 4 – 5 Tablespoons of actual soup!(Even though we asked for several croutons in our soup — got ignored somewhere in the shuffle) Next, we returned to find the two House Salads(just as specified, only the dsg was mixed into it(contrary to the request not to do this) and was soggy… Asked for EXTRA real butter — what we actually received was some kind of partially-hydrogenated, air-whipped, honeyed-margarine piped from some kind of special tip — no larger than a quarter — 2 blobs, 2 teaspoons total… Had to ask for bread loaf, twice. Took a break — came back to see what we got: Meat-eater: 4″ Lamb shank, gluey and liquidy risotto(about ¼c svg) and something else resembling vomit on the bottom(was supposed to be a dbl svg of smashed red potatoes; don’t know what that stuff was, but it wasn’t potatoes dauphinois — or anything remotely looking like Scalloped potatoes — normally, the best part!) Vege-Entrée: Asked for sides of 3 potatoes: sweet, red mashed AND Dauphinois(see pics, none there), plus vegetable bundle, plus stuffing… Total side food amount was about 1c — come on! No meat here, so you’d think we get a couple extra items that I requested early, such as Cranberry Sauce, extra butter, vege-bundle(which usually has tiny pieces of asparagus, carrot, green bean(one green bean) wrapped in one green onion — total disappointment ! Cuz I Didn’t even get!!! The dessert was the last straw… Come On! one piece of Plain Pecan Pie, cut into 2 — 1″ width pieces… We were told it would have a sauce on it, but it came bone-dry and was very, very small. We will not be coming back again, but we do love the server, he just got it all wrong this time, didn’t even check for us.(What does our 40% tip buy these days, anyway? The amount of here served here wouldn’t feed a small rodent! Overall: $ 160 + $ 41 tip = means nothing Soooo sad, sooo disappointing. Ruined our Turkey-Day for sure, we are so hungry not 2 hours afterwards!!! I guess we are thankful not to have to do the dishes, though.

Consistently great! A happy hour and appetizer menu that cannot keep you away. If I lived closer, I would be here regularly. Escargot on the happy hour menu is my favorite! I’m a sea lover, and this place has more Aquariums then I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. Even in NYC they don’t have that’ like this. So 5 stars for an ambient setting surrounded by chandeliers and exotic sea life. It makes for an enchanted evening. I could probably eat hot dogs here and give it an A rating. I love atmosphere, but the food here is definitely satisfying! Steaks that are first cut, and big tasty lobsters. On the weekends there is live jazz and everyone actually dances their butts off. You can really enjoy yourself here for a dinner out, or for a birthday party. The one knock is it brings in a much older crowd to the bar at times. That’s great, I’m just 34 currently. The bar can sometimes look like The Most Interesting Man in the World and his girl, arm candy,…Or some older women being weighed down by 10 pounds of jewelry. You could say that wise people know where to go for the goods!

Came here with a party of 14 for a birthday celebration on a rainy Friday night. Reservations are recommended since this restaurant can be packed. They also have $ 5 Valet. Parking is limited at peak times. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was welcoming. When everyone from the party showed up, we were led to our tables by the host. We had two waiters serving the two tables that hosted the party of 14. Our waiter was friendly, and funny. The other table was not so lucky with their waiter. He was a no show for a while and only after our waiter brought our drinks did the other party sitting at the other table start complaining that they did not have their drink orders taken. Our waiter went and summoned the other waiter to help them out. The restaurant has a comprehensive drink menu. Wife and I ordered the $ 11 Wedding Cake Martini which was great. The restaurant is known for steak and sea food, but they had a well priced 3 course meal for $ 49. For the appetizer, we tried the $ 8 Champagne Brie soup, it was super tasty! For the main meal, we had the $ 49 «Surf & Turf» — Filet Mignon and Australian Cold Water Lobster Tail with Idaho Baked Potato. The steak was tender, but wife thought the lobster was rubbery/chewy. We got the Gran Marnier Crème Brulee for dessert. Overall, good atmosphere to have a dinner date, or event, other than the initial issue with the waiter for half of our guests at another table. The items are a little pricey, so come prepared to spend a good amount of change. They had a big wedding party when we dined and also a live band and open dance floor close to the bar. Their fish tanks with colorful fish kept the kids occupied and their restrooms were clean. I’ll have to come back to sample their other menu items at a later date.

From the welcome to the departure, everything was first class. The menu and atmosphere made it feel like you were in Paris for a gourmet French dinner. For an anniversary dinner, it was a total success. The menu had recipes that included top of the line seafood, beef and other fare(lamb, veal, snails, etc.). The wine selection was on the smaller side, but paired up nicely with the entrées. I/we can’t wait to go back. In fact, I almost ordered another meal to go.

I went to Arthur’s for the first time this evening and it was delightful! I went with a few folks and sat in the lounge and listened to some live music. The room was huge, dark and stately and I loved the atmosphere. There was similar grandeur in the dining room and I loved the professional waiters and great food. This restaurant is so cool! I will definitely go back.

Came here for restaurant week. They had a fantastic menu and, while most restaurant week restaurants have raised to $ 45.00, Arthur’s was still at $ 35.00. It was DH’s bday, so we chose this place. It had its ups and downs. We were seated immediately in one of the back private booths with curtains — oooh, romantic! Our waiter came after quite a few minute wait and we ordered drinks. He said he would let us enjoy our drinks and come back for our order. We waited, waited, waited, almost 25 minutes before he came back and I think that was because I stood up and looked around for him. OK, got past that, ordered and the rest of the meal was excellent. I had the champagne brie soup — I’m in love. More, please. The salmon was wonderful and crème brûlée so smooth and creamy. Loved it. DH had the salad and tenderloin and really liked it. We were pleased and service was quick. I’m glad we hadn’t left like we discussed when it took so long after getting our initial drinks. Oh and we had the optional shrimp cocktail and although it was two shrimp, they were HUGE and equal to at least three small ones. The cocktail sauce was delicious. I wish I could have taken it with me for later! Only one complaint — it smells like a smoking casino in Vegas. I realize they have a bar and there’s smoking there, but it seems to have permeated everything and makes it seem a bit shabby. It was hard to get past that. All-in-all we were pleased with the food, though.

Restaurant week 2015 and Arthur’s menu looked very promising. Some of my friends from work also wanted to give it a try. We had a 7pm reservation and were seated immediately. The first impression I got from the place was elegant old money as I looked around I realized it’s also a great spot for a romantic dinner. There aren’t too many places that have private dining so that is a nice touch. We were also drawn to the humongous fish tank that lined the booths. One of my friends thought it was weird but she got over it. Our waiter was very attentive when over there house special cocktail and offered the wine list but we had drinking plans later. He brought out the menus and shortly after ordering we received bread and butter. I ordered the salad, Salmon and Crème Brulee. The salad to start was delicious, I generally don’t like fruit in my salad but the julienned granny smith melded perfectly with the bacon, pecans and goat cheese and the vinaigrette was so light it was barely noticeable. My second course was the Lobster & Crab stuffed Salmon. That was a perfectly cooked piece of fish that didn’t need the lobster and crab but it didn’t overpower the fish either. It came with mashed potatoes that were okay but the Haricots Verts were perfectly cooked with still had crunch to them. I was really stuffed at this point but I had to eat the Grand Marnier Crème Brulee. It was so good I could have eaten two. I would definitely return to Arthur’s the service was great the meal wonderful. It’s on the pricey side but for a special meal I would return.

There were many restaurants to choose from for restaurant week but based on the reviews and pictures My boyfriend and I decided to come here for our anniversary. At first was was regretting the decisions Valet: they only have one valet person and on a Friday night the line was backed up Host: told us we would be seated right away. Our reservation was at 830, yet we didn’t get seated until 845. What’s the point of a reservation? The table should’ve been ready for our arrival. Waiter: he greeted us with a wine menu and took a while to come back around and he then came back to take our order but the never gave us the food menu to look at. We didn’t place our food order until 20 minutes after being seated. I was ready to get up and leave but he arrived just in time.(Perfect timing and save) After that everything turned out great! Our food came out fast, the salmon and tenderloin were cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes were a bit bland. The dessert was also tasty. My favorite entrée was definitely the salmon, one of the best I’ve had! I hope that next time we are seated right away and are attend like guests should be once seated.

We enjoyed a 3 course meal here for my birthday, and the food was exquisite. The service was exceptional, our waiter Henry knew the menu and had great banter with us throughout the night. If you’re looking for a classy environment for a special occasion, look no further. Also, try the crème brûlée.

We went to Arthur’s to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Based on the reviews I was skeptical but Arthur’s exceeded my expectations. Wait staff was courteous. It was a Saturday night and they were a bit busy. Our server brought us all free Caesar salads because our food was going to take a bit longer than expected. I got the salmon and risotto and was blown away. Sea bass was also amazing. Overall, a very good experience. Loved the live music. Definitely will go back.

I came here for a late dinner on a weeknight and had such a lovely experience. It’s hard to find a good place to eat after 10:00pm or so in this area so, we sort of stumbled upon this place by accident, but how serendipitous! When I checked on Unilocal they said they would be open at 11pm but I think they meant the attached bar/lounge where they have live music, but the owner kindly sat us anyway when I asked him if the kitchen was still open. The décor in the dining room(as well as the lounge for that matter) is gorgeous! It’s all high ceilings, carved, dark wood details, damask upholstered booths, sparkling chandeliers and the soft glow from the aquarium wall. They even have small, private booths that seat 4 and that you can even cloak with red, velvet drapes for total privacy. Our charming server, Henry, was tasked with waiting on us very latecomers, but he brushed aside our apologies for making him stay longer when everyone else was already about to go home. I appreciated that he never made us feel rushed even long after his other tables cleared. The food was soooo good! My friend said the steak tartare was better than what we had in Paris. I liked how it came with extra capers and minced shallots so you could adjust the flavor to your own taste. He had the escargots appetizer and I don’t actually care for snails but these were really tender and didn’t have the odd taste I usually don’t like about them. The veal osso buco was fork tender with a rich, buttery, wine sauce and the risotto was very flavorful with a nice, firm consistency. The rib eye was cooked to a perfect medium rare with a very tasty cracked pepper crust. Even the bread was good! So crispy on the outside and fluffy and warm on the inside. I want to come back to check out the lounge sometime. There are little nooks with leather couches to cozy up to a fireplace and the stage area reminds me of something out of Twin Peaks, but it feels like being in a Victorian hunting lodge(even though there were no taxidermy animal heads mounted on the wall or anything like that). The only thing that kept me from giving it a full 5 stars is that they allow smoking even in the dining area.

We came here for their RW because of their great menu. It’s definitely one of the best RW menu offerings. The interior of the restaurant has a very classy feel and they have both a main dining area and a lounge where there’s live music. The service was relatively slow despite the dining room not being very full. There was definitely quite a wait before our appetizers arrived. Our waiter was nice and tried to be helpful, but he kept insisting on us taking home the restaurant week menu as souvenirs, which was probably just a misunderstanding(he even asked one of the other waiters to run out after us to our car after we left the menus at our table). Not a big deal, but just slightly odd. We tried out their cocktail special, mango purée with vodka and champagne which was delicious and you could definitely taste the alcohol in there unlike a lot of other fruity cocktails. For our appetizers, we both had the crab cake mixed with lobster bits. It was good, not great. There was not really any true«lump crab» in it which was disappointing and what I’m used to, but tasted good nonetheless. For our entrees, we had the lamb shank«osso bucco» style and the red snapper with shrimp. The lamb shank was succulent and cooked to perfection. The meat just fell right off the bone and I could eat it all day every day. The veggie risotto that came with it was also one of the best I’ve had. The red snapper with shrimp was good, but definitely was not quite the quality of the lamb shank. I wish we had tried the salmon stuffed with crab which we were also considering. For our desserts, we had the cheesecake and the tiramisu. The cheesecake was wonderful. The tiramisu was coffee flavored and was just average for us. If this place was closer to me, I’d probably come back for a return visit at some point. For anyone who is still looking to go out for the remainder of RW, this is definitely a good one to try.

I came here for restaurant week and I thought everything was very delicious. All the food I’ve posted pictures of but I got the lobster & lump crab cake, chicken piccata and crème brûlée. My date got the prime tenderloin and tiramisu which of course I had a taste of and they were equally delicious. Good portions, the waiter was impeccable and the atmosphere very inviting. The lobster and lump crab cake was probably among the best that sat on a bed of a slaw I believe. It has a good amount of cilantro in it so if you don’t like cilantro ask to leave it out. The chicken piccata was served with angel hair and the sauce it was very delicious. Capers are in the dish so if you’re not a fan ask for them to be left out. The prime tenderloin was cooked median rare and very moist. Side of potatoes and small wrapping of veggies. The crème brûlée had a strong citrus taste and the sugar on top cooked well where it wasn’t a tough layer. The tiramisu was good but I did like the crème brûlée better. This is the kind of restaurant where they don’t leave your glass of water less one sip which I appreciate. And it seemed like one waiter only had one table because when ours wasn’t serving us he was on standby right near us. Overall I recommend this as a must try for restaurant week. Not sure how it is on a regular basis but this experience would make me a regular.
