I have been coming to this restaurant for years with my family. Recently my boyfriend and I started coming here on our own because of my love for the seafood served here. Every dish is delicious and fresh — from the raw oysters on the half shell, to the clam chowder, to the highly recommended horseradish crusted halibut. The wait staff is fabulous and very attentive. Definitely a must try for seafood in Dallas!

Good food, fresh and a very nice, friendly waiter. My original greeting from the hostess was not so friendly and it may have been because we came in about 30 mins before closing. The waiter more than made up from that. Our meals were spectacular

My colleague chose Remington’s for a business lunch for the reasons of(1) good food,(2) no wait. I had a salad — the sweet one with apples & candied pecans, and I also had a special, blackened red snapper with rice pilaf. Is it sad that the best part of my «seafood» meal was the salad? Yeah… probably. ;-) The fish wasn’t bad, per se… it just wasn’t anything to remember. Somehow, even with blackened seasoning, it was tasteless. The rice pilaf? Not good — didn’t even eat it. Oh! They make these mini shot glass like sundaes. That was delicious! Long story short, if I ever go back, it won’t be for the main entrée. ;-)

Food took forever to show up and there were only two tables occupied! Food was bland, mahi-mahi with étouffée. Desert– key lime pie(straight out of the box and not how it should be for real key lime). Finally, lot of wait staff were goofing around and loud. Won’t go back.

I went here and I enjoyed it. I had the calamari for a appetizer, etoufee with shrimp and crawfish, and my bf had the seafood platter. The seafood was soo fresh. The etoufee had seafood in every but no lie!!! The seasoning was lite on the platter however taste fresh not frozen. The crab cake is probably the best I ever had lump sweet crab meat! I really in enjoyed the food here.

Not many Addison restaurants(nor Dallas for that matter) have stood the test of time for 36 years. This one has, and we found out why. Arriving, after having a couple of drinks at the watering hole next door, we were met with a friendly professional front end and wait staff. After enjoying a nice lumpy crab cake, we settled into an appetizer of PEI mussels in a chablis garlic wine sauce. These were large and juicy, and the sauce was perfect for dipping the crusty bread. For entrees, I had the Horseradish Crusted Redfish. It was thick and the first redfish I’ve had lately that was not overcooked. My loaded baker was just right and the sautéed spinach was cooked just to the point of tenderness while retaining a pleasant bite. My wife had the Filet Mignon topped with Crab & Shrimp with a side of cole slaw. She was thoroughly pleased with her plate. Remington’s retains it’s late 70’s charm(read: the setting does not seem to be updated since inception), but It’s a considerably cheaper than the two other neighborhood five-star seafood places and price certainly does not drag down quality. The clientele is loyal, and the staff know the regulars by name.

This is my neighborhood restaurant. I’m there once a week! Joyce — the manager — is amazing! She is all about quality and customer service. The food is consistently delicious and the servers are well versed on the menu, prompt, and personable — and they remember your name. It’s a great experience for one or a party of 20!

This place came recommended from a coworker and on the surface and from a distance it looked like maybe this would be a winner. While for the money it may not be bad, I was not impressed. We had crab cakes(probably the highlight) calamari, crab fingers, and some other appetizers I cannot remember. I had the redfish special which as I recall was buttered and stuffed. It just wasn’t creative and did not have any distinctive flavor. I will be trying Chamberlains across the way next time.

I love this place! I’ve been eating here for over 25 years. They consistently serve great fresh seafood! I’ve tried quite a lot of items on their menu and they have all been delicious! Just recently our server was Sophie. She was adorable. Her service was fabulous and she was so nice. She made our dining experience so wonderful! Great food! Great service! You can’t beat it!

I came here for lunch earlier this week to meet up with my Dad. As soon as I got there, I excused myself to the restroom and saw how much of a renovation this place needs. Not only does it look old in the restaurant portion of the space, but the restrooms are tiny. There’s no room to move around at all. Our waiter was really slow, but I guess that didn’t bother us much since he was nice. Most people that come to lunch during the week probably only have an hour, but this waiter didn’t seem to be in any kind of rush to take our orders at all. We eventually had to ask him to take our orders. The bread that was brought to us was stale. I have no words as to why a restaurant would send out old bread to anyone. Since it was complimentary, we had no reason to send it back for more fresh bread. The menu had just about everything I wanted to try, so it was hard to narrow it down to one option. I ended up going with the Mediterranean Seafood Salad. I asked the waiter to hold the feta, but the salad still came out with feta cheese in it. The salad was really good. There was a nice amount of seafood in the salad(shrimp, scallops, and tilapia) and the dressing was mild and light. I’d recommend it. My Dad ordered the Crawfish Étouffée and it was really good. He had to ask for a side of extra rice because the entrée itself doesn’t come with much rice and where we are from, there should be an equal amount of roux and rice to mix well together. Overall, my food was tasteful, but my experience wasn’t the best. I do think this place needs an uplift because most of the food I tried was delicious.

I’m not quite sure why none of the reviews mention that the patrons are generally over the age of 50. The décor, the crowd, the food — all of it is dated. I ordered sea bass, and got a thin filet that was smothered in butter and overcooked. I just felt like this place caters to a very different crowd and it’s just not my style.

Very nice staff and attentive service. Nothing super exciting on the menu, tho. Maybe it’s just me. The crawfish étouffée was good.

This place is reliable for tasty seafood. It is old school. I’m told it hasn’t changed in 20+ years. Love the Sonoma salad, sole & scrod are always well prepared.

I’ve been a couple times and even though it’s not the most modern or exciting interior, the seafood is delicious, great portions, and the service was great both times I went. The GM stepped in and made an awesome custom cocktail just for me! Wish I could remember what was in it…

The food is always good here. Of all the years we’ve been visiting this place we’ve never really had an issue. Tonight is no different except our waiter was a little ‘off” maybe. I had to ask for my mother-in-law’s iced water as a reminder; refill of my wife’s iced tea; and a redo of the bill because we had a birthday coupon. He came back after retaking the bill to ask if we gave him the coupon earlier. Yes we did. Altogether the experience is still 4.5 stars.

My wife and I decided to have dinner here it was close by while running errands. We got lucky and got in just before the dinner crowd so we were able to be seated right away. We noticed as the evening went along everyone seemed to be dressed nicely not a casual attire type place. We ordered the Appetizer Combo to try a sampling of different items. The small crab cake was good a little more creamy than meat but I am used to real Maryland Crab cakes when I lived there. They have a deep fried crab claw as part of the combo which are small pincher piece with a very little nibble of claw meat. They are NOT worth it. They are not fun to eat and not worth the effort. The calamari was good and cooked well with light seasoning. The onion rings were way over cooked. I like mine crispy but these were so crispy the onion was virtually gone. It was more fried batter than onion ring. The crab and mushroom cap had a little spice and some ok flavor. There was a lot going on inside the filling and was a little overwhelming for your pallet. I love lobster bisque and decided to try theirs. It was really good! The cream flavor came through as did the lobster hint of flavor. I would say its in the top 10 I have tried from around the country. The only critique I would give is just a touch less salt and maybe add a few large chunks of lobster. The lobster is pureed into small little pieces. If they added just a few little whole chunks it would be amazing! Overall it was very tasty and I would order it again. My wife ordered the Boston Scrod and it was cooked perfectly tender and still moist with a cornmeal crust. The coleslaw she really enjoyed and was clearly home made and not pre-made or bulk purchased. I ordered the special for the night which was a Washington Salmon. This is a slightly thinner filet which is butterflied. It is cooked with pistachios and white wine butter sauce. It was cooked skin on broiled and they cooked it a perfect medium. The flavor was really good and the nuts and sauce combo really added great texture to the salmon flavor profile! I would absolutely order this again. Our server Aaron did a really great job!!! He was quick with the bread, took our app order right away for us, made sure the meal was timed apart from the app so we did not get everything as once. He took the left over app and packaged it for us before the main meal which I appreciated giving us table room. He was on point with our refills and checking on us just enough to be helpful and not intrusive. GREATJOB Aaron! All in all we had a good visit and will go back and try some of the other dishes they have. I would have given 5 stars if not for the issues with the appetizer.

Great basic seafood There is no modern twist on the dishes. Had calamari it came with cocktail sauce and dill sauce, a thai sauce would have been great. Had clam chowder it was great. My husband had the ceasar salad and I had the Sonoma instead of the coleslaw, both were great. My husband had the lobster tails, he said they were great. I had the blackened salmon with a loaded baked potato. Salmon was cooked perfect, loaded baked potato was exactly what I expected, nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, great food just old school. We were the youngest by 20 – 30 years. Waiter was great!!! Great service!!! This was our first time there and will be back when we want basic seafood.
