Fun atmosphere and friendly crowd. Definite place to try. not a romantic place if that’s what you’re looking for. Bar type spot with lots of locals there singing Karaōke.

This is a great place to watch a sporting event, and I have many times. Large TVs, well placed seating, and friendly crowd make it a good choice, as long as you don’t mind the smoke. At times they allow cigars, and the smoke really overwhelms the place. Food is generally impressive, but I tend to stick to either their catfish, sometimes all you can eat, and their burgers. The Monday burger special is a noteworthy deal, as are several other specials during the week. I’ve never had a problem with the service, and the beer is always cold. Speaking of beer, they have a large selection of craft drafts at acceptable prices. We sometimes use it as a pre-game before dining at one of Addison’s more pricey establishments.

The service was decent but the happy hour crowd was geriatric. I did like the open boat doors so you don’t suffocate from the indoor smoking. The friendly bartender says come back later when they do karaōke, trivia or some such. I felt like I needed to press someone’s life call button to gentle party started up in there.

We’ve called this place Cartoon Hamburger for as long as we’ve lived nearby because that’s what’s on the sign. We made a last minute choice to seek some Sunday night karaōke and it turns out that Magic Time Machine doesn’t have it(we’ve had a bad run of luck going there anyway, it’s a weird scene) and some quick Unilocaling brought us here. And it was pretty cool! I was surprised that it was so lively on a Sunday. I was also surprised they had local beers, I was prepared to settle for a Shiner or something similarly average. But they had Lakewood Temptress which my husband likes and Deep Ellum IPA which is one of my go-to’s. Nice! I like the way their karaōke works– write your name and song on the board, you can clearly see where you are on the list and you get an idea of what songs people are going to sing. It just had a fun vibe, I prefer sports bar/unpretentious places for karaōke and this fit the bill, hip hop and country were the main picks, with some show tunes and Sweet Child O’ Mines thrown in. We ate some nachos, they were perfectly fine bar nachos. We left around midnight and it was getting more crowded so it did not seem like the scene was slowing down at all! I’m happy to have another karaōke option in Addison. It was smokey for sure but it didn’t feel as close in and oppressive as the Magic Time Machine bar.

Just got into town for a two week business trip and was trying places out on a Sunday to get familiar with the area, Sean the Bartender was great and offered suggestions for the Addison area, seemed like a very cool plane, Karaōke 6 nights a week, it was a smoking bar but they had doors that opened that made it better, will be trying this place out over the next 2 weeks!

Staff is great. The regulars are too. Just some racist customers can ruin your night though.

Pretty sure the bar manager(Chaz) is a complete homophobe because I’ve been in 3 times and 3 times he’s been a total jerk to me. Unprovoked — something about me makes him choose to be rude. He is clearly well liked and treats others with respect. I’m left to assume he either has an issue with someone who looks gay, or he has an issue with women. I suggest if you are either, you steer clear and order from the servers.(Who are awesome, btw.) The first time I had the privilege of interacting with him, he wanted to charge me 18 dollars for one shot. Not top shelf. Nothing special. One shot.(I didn’t order it — I kind of laughed at the absurdity.) The second time he just completely ignored me for over 20 minutes — he literally made eye contact several times then busied himself with«cleaning» so he didn’t have to serve me. Even other customers were saying, «Wow, looks like you got on his bad side» and I had to order from a server instead. Hey, if your customers are noticing, you might be a jerk. Tonight, a drink I’d barely touched got picked up when I took my turn at darts. The server apologized and told me she’d get me another one… which she did… which I took to mean I wouldn’t be charged for it. Hence my surprise when it was on my bill. When I pointed out what I thought was a simple mistake, he made it clear in no way was it a mistake and I was to blame. In the most insulting way I’ve ever been talked to by anyone who’s in the hospitality industry. He kept insisting I pay for the replacement because, «This is totally your fault. I have a business to run. You’re an adult and it’s your responsibility to make sure your drink doesn’t get picked up.» Lesson learned: drinks will get picked up if you set them down. Do not assume a full drink won’t walk away. Bad assumption on my part — I suck at being a customer.(He begrudgingly fixed it while yelling at me the whole time — so I will be checking my bank statement because I have a feeling I paid for 5 drinks instead of 2.) I guess my takeaway is to always hold my drink in my hand until it’s empty.(Not that there will be a next time.) Instead of taking the opportunity to make a situation right, and earn my business by being an empathetic human and giving a customer the benefit of the doubt by writing off the dollar(at most) it may have cost the bar, he berated me(in front of friends and other customers) and made sure I felt about 2 inches tall. He literally pointed his finger at me in a threatening way as he yelled at me and insinuated I was trying to get away with stealing. Nice customer service. God complex much??? Tiny little man. The other staff is awesome, as is the DJ and the customers, but he ruins it. Three strikes and I’ll take the hint. Congratulations, I won’t be back. The jerk wins. Hope he feels good about himself.

Nice sports bar with a friendly staff and bartenders. Lots of TVs on to watch your favorite sports and have a few drinks with friends. The food is typical for a bar, but the drinks are very good and strong. They have Karaōke every night except Tuesday which is good if you are a fan of that. The bartenders Shawn and Chaz are great and I never have to wait for a drink. Went to UFC last Saturday and it was packed but our waitress Sammy was able to keep up and we had great service the whole night.

Every time I’m in Addison I’ve had a great time here. The people in the bar are always friendly. I only get to go once every two years but I know I’ll always have a fun night if I go here!

Karaōke 6 nights a week? Win for Addison. The place has a cool vibe and the bartender, Chaz, was really accommodating. Didn’t have any foods this time, just drinks. The beer menu is solid and the restrooms are clean. I found the people to be super friendly. My only complaint are the acoustics. It’s very difficult to hear yourself when you are singing.

Good atmosphere for a bar/grill, and the $ 2 Monday night burgers are well-seasoned and cooked to order… Plus they’re served with«cottage fries» which is code for yummy homemade potato chips. Overall nice place to watch the game and eat good, affordable food. Lots of specials too!

I’m a karaōke enthusiast and when I heard about this place I expected to love it. Unfortunately I wasn’t impressed. The place is OK and the drinks are priced fairly, but I wasn’t a fan of the sound system. If you are on stage, it’s tough to hear yourself and that makes it harder/less fun. I will say that the host was super friendly and the bartenders were nice too.

Went for lunch, ordered the little guy burger. Cheese is extra. It was pretty large. Comes with your choice of sides… I got fries. They had an awesome french fry seasoning on them. The burger was cooked medium to order… left full and satified. $ 9 lunch. The service was great.

This is a mixed review. I really wanted to like this place. They have a cool casual atmosphere. Dress up or down as you like. My issue was the wait for karaōke and the service. My best friend put in a song for karaōke, but we ended up waiting for almost two hours for her turn. There were a ton of regulars here who probably get preference. We enjoyed some of the singers as you can tell they practiced and tried to get everyone to join in the song. The service was terrible. Our waitress did not come back and we had to call her over. She didn’t know the prices of the drinks on the main menu(no prices on the menu). Overall this place was very smokey. I wish there was better ventilation! I enjoyed my time, but won’t be returning anytime soon.

I stumbled upon this place, and decided to give them a try. I was disappointed, as well as the other person in my party. The drinks were ok, but the food was not good. We ordered the turkey burger, grilled catfish w/salad & mashed potatoes, and wings. The catfish came out fried, and we order grilled, then they bro it our wings which were supposed to be half Lemon Pepper/half hot. Instead we got Garlic Parmesan which wasn’t good at all. I didn’t want to send those back after all the other complains we had for fear of them sabotaging my food. Needless to say we will NOT return to AP again…

I really enjoy this bar. They host game watching parties for the San Francisco 49ers fan club during football season so it’s nice for my husband, who is from California, to go be obnoxious with his fellow football fans. They always have specials on both drink and food. Food-wise it is your typical greasy bar food, although I would rate it better quality than most bars I’ve been to. Not much options, but the fajitas are amazing. HUGE portions and very well made, generous on the sides and the tortillas. Their appetizers are also delicious, I recommend getting the combination of picking three different ones. Drinks are pretty cheap. I’ve always gotten great service from the waitresses, despite how busy they get on Sundays. Only downside to this bar is the smoking allowed environment, it’s hard to get smoke smell out of clothes.

Me and my group stopped coming here. Our weekly tradition was broken due to continued piss poor service(although cute waitresses), filthy bathrooms and when they started CHARGING for water. That’s RIDICULOUS! Sorry, AP, but it’s over between us. Even if you clean up your act it’s still too late. I found someone else. Glad I don’t have to put up with the ashtray(very smokey) any longer. Not sure how I did for so long, but hey, love is blind, right?
