1st time at this Hopdoddy Location and with the service and locataion I would have to say one of my favorities yet. I came in during happy hour just to get a shake and ended up with whole meal. 2 bucks off a chicken burger. Sorry I cant say no. I ended up not even getting my favorite shake as they currently have a girl scout mint cookie shake. Yummmm… Had the chicken burger and some fries to top it all off. The service was great. Can’t wait to stop back through on my next trip through.

Decided to stop in for lunch today. I first tried this place when my wife brought it home for dinner one night and was very good. So we decided to stop in again today for a burger fix! Atmosphere and Service The place has a cool little modern dive feel and the employees are very helpful and polite. We had multiple employees check on us while waiting and out table guy came through after we were seated. It was not to much attention just the right amount. The employees we interacted with were positive and friendly. There was only one who I think needed a hug which was the front door guy. He was low energy and kinda going through the motions a little. Food The fresh made buns are AMAZING. I could eat those all day by themselves lightly toasted with butter like they serve yumm! My wife ordered the special Poutine Burger. She really enjoyed her and they cooked it perfectly. I ordered a bison burger med with bacon, mushroom, swiss, and fried egg. Mine cost them a star. They forgot my fried egg and it took awhile to get it. I was half done with my burger before it showed up. However… the egg was cooked PERFECTLY nice warm runny yoke, seasoned with just the right salt and pepper… so yummy. The burger was closer to medium well with no pink which medium should have. If your a burger bar you need to NAIL burger temperatures. However… the burger flavor was really great, perfect seasoning that pulled the bison flavor out in a mild way. The burger was still juicy and tender. The parm truffle fries were very good nice and crunchy and plenty of flavor. Large order was enough for two people to share. The oreo shake I ordered to good was not very good. There was a strange after taste almost like a dry granola bar or something. I am not sure as I have never had a shake taste like that. I didn’t finish it after a few tastes. We had a good visit and we will continue to come back and hopefully my wife will surprise me with take again soon. If you have not been here you should make plans to stop by and visit with them and enjoy some tasty burgers!

Good food. Overpriced since it doesn’t come w fries And every single time we go they bring our food so late or wrong order or not bringing fries Rude staff. When I went to look for the food they had a bad attitude I live right down the street and we came when they were opening. Always recommended it to my friends. But w this service you can get better burger cheaper somewhere else!

One of the best burger places around. Hopdoddy’s was one of my favorite places to go back when I use to work in the area. If you’re planning on coming here for lunch I suggest getting there as early as possible(I use to get there right at 11) because it gets busy and you may have to wait in line. Every burger I’ve tried here has been great. The meat is juicy and has good flavor. I also always order the truffle fries because they’re crispy and I really like that truffle flavor. The place itself is a decent size but not huge and they’re always busy so you may have to wait a bit during dinner/lunch times. The service here is pretty good and food comes out in a timely manner. If you haven’t tried hopdoddys yet, you need to!

Price Range: $ 10 — $ 15 per meal Atmosphere:(4⁄5) * Very nice when not busy * Modern and decorated nicely * Very loud, but that’s expected Food:(2⁄5) * Had the Ahi Tina burger this time, there was at least a tablespoon worth of wasabi on there, so I choked on the first bite. * Other burgers I’ve tried there were alright, despite the hype. * Overall, nothing special and not worth the price. Staff:(4⁄5) * While waiting in line, we were pulled out to be seated because we were a party of two. * Generally nice and friendly Cleanliness:(4⁄5) * The tables and chairs were clean * Low lighting makes it hard to tell if everything else was clean * Bathroom was ok Hang out spot: Yes, but not at busy times. You will feel rushed.

Come for the hype, stay for the atmosphere, leave and never return. Atmosphere:(4⁄5) * The atmosphere is very Austin-ish, artsy but classy. It is very hard to have a conversation in here the place is not super loud but you still pretty much have to yell at each other to understand. Food:(3⁄5) * If you are looking for gourmet and fabulous flavor exploding burger GOSOMEWHEREELSEPLEASE!!! YOUHAVEBEENWARNED!!! That was a bit over exaggerated… NOT! I have given this place a chance 3 times and 3 disappointed events I received, first, el diablo, I told them medium-rare it came out well-done which was acceptable at the time but it’s bland with raw jalepeno so it will burn your tongue off! Why would you put raw jalepeno in burger? Who does that? You need to slightly cook it to tone it down to be edible. Second time I went with the safe one: Prime Time, again medium-rare was ordered came out well-done this time is unacceptable. The sauce was overfilling, meat was not seasoned and overcooked, the only good thing that come out of the burger is presentation it was fantastic but everything else is eh… And I’m stupid enough to gave them a 3rd trial! Ahi tuna burger, beware of the SUPERWASABI!!! It’s like they intend to kill you with super filling wasabi sauce it’s way too much and tuna wasn’t seasoned coming from an Asian guy, and my love of Asian food, I know when it’s too much, unnecessary wasabi!!! The fries was good though… oh, and the drinks from Maine Root is superb. Staff:(3⁄5) * Decent staffs no major complaints I know it’s how they make money to kick customers out as soon as possible because their seats are limited. Richard in particular was really nice, the rest not so much but they tried so again no major complain and compliment. Cleanliness:(4⁄5) * Very well clean even when busy. Good hang out spot: …eh

I feel like I’m the last person in DFW to try Hopdoddy! I’ve been wanting to come here since forever and I’m glad I finally did. Hubs and I walked in on a Thursday evening and were able to order from the cashier right away. No crazy line that I had heard about in reviews. We ordered the Llano Poblano and Thunderbird as well as truffle fries to share. They bring the fries out first which is weird to me, since I like to eat my meal all at once but ok. Those truffle fries are amazing. I’m talking hot and crispy, full of parmesan garlic oil goodness. At first I thought whoa this is too much when I saw the basket, but Hopdoddy must know you won’t be able to resist – and I was not! I would come back here again just for those dang fries. The angus burger and chicken burger were great too. Both patties were super juicy and the ingredients on both stood out. The Poblano peppers were not too spicy, however I wish they were diced or sliced smaller than they come. The burgers are pretty thick too. Easily filled both of us up for a trip to food coma city. I didn’t try one of the shakes, but I’ll save that for next time!

So Hopdoddy is my husband and I’s favorite burger place that we can both eat at. He’s a vegetarian so it limits our eating out. We go at least once a week to the one in uptown. The staff overall has been helpful and friendly in both places although in uptown sometimes I have to chase down a server. This Hopdoddy is clean and efficient. The food comes out hot & fast. I don’t like that there are about half a dozen tables that are set up European style or 3rd world country style(my husband and I can attest to this from our experiences in our respective countries and others) where you can rub elbows with your neighbor. It’s basically a table set up for 4 and they seat 2 couples facing each other. So you can clearly hear your neighbors conversation and they can hear you. We sat at one of these once and will never do it again. It’s so uncomfortable and invasive. My husband and I are spoiled by the American space we have been accustomed to where the next table is several feet away. My husband loves the bean patty they make but for some reason, at this location, it just falls apart. It doesn’t stay put together like it does in the 2 Dallas locations. That’s really strange since they should have the same recipe. My burger tastes the same to me and it’s delicious. Another thing we have noticed is that the truffle fries here are SALTY! I mean really salty to where I regret ordering them every time but since I love them at the other location, I tend to forget that they are too salty here. Overall, good place but not as great as it’s predecessors in Dallas. They need to send their cooks back to training and take away their salt dispensers!

Hopdoddy has always been my favorite place to get a burger in TX. I had it in the Dallas’s location and also the Austin’s location, but the Addison’s location really disappointed me. The friendliness of the staff is still there, the cleanliness of the restaurant is still the same, the vibe is still the same, but unfortunately, the food is not. We had the following: — PRIMETIME — Texas Akaushi Beef, Brie Cheese, Arugula, Caramelized Onions, Truffle Aioli, Steak Sauce — this was our all time favorite burger at Hopdoddy, but this location failed to make us enjoy it, I’m not saying it was bad. But it was not as flavorful as the other locations, it did not wow us at the first bite, nor any other bites — THECLASSICBURGER — Angus Beef, Red Leaf Lettuce, White Onion, Ripe Beef Steak Tomato, Sassy Sauce — the classic burger also lacked, again, it was not bad, just not what I’m used to — Truffle fries — truffle fries here is always delicious and on point — Birthday Cake Milkshake — their milkshakes are always delicious, at least, the ones that I’ve tried. I am sadden that the Addison’s location is not to par, mostly because when I come to Dallas, I stay in Addison. Hopefully they step up their game.

A great burger spot in Addison. As soon as I stepped in, I couldn’t help but start comparing it to Burgerfi, a chain burger spot that I visited in Atlanta. Similar concept… good burgers, shakes, and alcohol. I was recommended to this spot by someone who claimed they have the best burgers. So did all the expectation hold up?! Umm. Hopdoddy wasn’t quite the best burger I’ve ever had but don’t get me wrong, my Primetime burger + fried egg was pretty delicious! The red velvet milkshake wasn’t very good though as it was runny. Oh, I miss Burgerfi’s thick & delicious red velvet milkshake.

One of the top burger places on my list. Shroom burger, truffle fries give me foodasm every time I get them. I always add an extra sunny side up egg to my burger, making it extra juicy, and messy, but I love it. Their truffle fries are just heavenly. The dipping sauce make it extra heavenly. They recently added the k-town burger to their menu, and I’m so glad they did. My boyfriend demolished it in 2 minutes. Customer service is also top notch. Caden was our server, and we loved her. My cousin got a free milkshake for her birthday, even though it already passed. Caden also dropped off a free coronarita cause they made an extra of it. I can’t express how much I love this place.

This was my first time eating at Hopdoddy and I’m pleased to say the food did not disappoint. I stopped by here as I was in the area was pleased to walk in and be seated immediately. Having read some of the other reviews I was expecting to walk to the counter and place my order. That was not the case on this day; it was full service with the order taken by at the table. Since it was my first visit I went with the Classic Burger(Angus Beef, Red Leaf Lettuce, White Onion, Tomato, ‘Sassy Sauce’, and Cheese). The burger was as delicious as advertised, juicy and full of flavor. I was a little fearful of the ‘Sassy Sauce’ as the ‘special sauces’ can sometimes overwhelm the burger. Thankfully that was not the case. Actually, I don’t recall tasting the sauce which was perfect for me. My friend went opted for the Hail Caesar salad which was an interesting twist on a caesar salad. In addition to the typical ingredients it contained tomatoes, carrots, spicy fried chick peas and shoestring fries. I sampled a little and it was almost as good as my burger. We also shared a order of Green Chili Queso Fries which were delicious. Lastly, for dessert we shared a Caramel & Sea Salt shake. One taste of that and I wished I had gotten my own. Overall, service was acceptable no mishaps or delays. There were 2 servers assigned to my table and although they never stated it; I assume one was in training. The only strange thing is there was a third sever who stopped by a couple of times and ask how things were and if the food was acceptable. I found this to be strange as this server was assigned to my table. Also, the first time this server stopped by, the food had not been served. The second and last time the server stopped by long after finishing the food and asked«are you enjoying the food?» A little more attention to detail would have been appreciated; especially if you’re checking on a table that doesn’t belong to you. For a first visit I was impressed with Hopdoddy and will definitely return to this location.

I have to been to Hopdoddy a couple of times. I have always liked this place more than other burger places. This is what threw my visit off. I brought my little sister here after telling her, she needs to try this place out. The younger lady who took out menu was not too nice. My sister had questions about the menu, and the lady told her to look at the menu. Granted, I understand that is what a menu is for. This was her first time, she was a little overwhelmed because she did not know what to order. What happen to smiling and answering questions without making people feel belittled? We ordered our drinks. She was handing over the empty cups for the soft drinks and they dropped on my sister. No «sorry» or «excuse me». I hate bad or lack of customer service. She isn’t a stickler for things like this, but she did tell me her burger was too greasy.
