Medinah Banquets

We were here for a benefit for a local animal shelter last month. The space is beautiful, parking was ample, and the room we got was ginormous. The outside of the building is unique and the grounds are clearly well kept.

A group I am associated with recently held our annual banquet at Medinah Banquets. Joanna was great to work with. She was professional, flexible, and was just a pleasure to work with. The rest of the catering staff was great as well and did a very good job preparing the food which included a cheese/​cracker display, fruit display, BBQ ribs, broasted chicken, corn on the cob, roasted red potatoes and corn bread among other things. Banquet food can sometimes be mediocre, but the food was delicious and there was more than enough to feed all of our guests.
The venue itself is very nice and stylish and could be utilized for a broad range of functions from a casual banquet (like we had) to something as elegant as a wedding. Compared to a few other banquet halls I have been at in the area, Medinah Banquets is definitely tops in terms of appearance, food and customer service.
Joanna and the rest of the Medinah staff truly care about customer satisfaction and went out of their way to make the night a success. I would highly recommend Medinah Banquets and plan on going back the next time I have a banquet to plan.

I work as an Events Coordinator for a small non-​profit, and Medinah Banquets has been the host of our annual fundraising event for the last four years. Not only do they provide excellent service, but they go out of their way to accommodate us and the needs of our guests. Joanna is amazing to work with and was constantly communicating with me throughout the planning process. The day of event always goes smoothly and the entire staff is really polite. I highly recommend them!

I went here for a cotillion/​graduation party. It was my first time going to this venue and I came away very impressed!
First of all, Medinah Banquets was a very classy looking place. I’ve been to several banquet halls in the suburbs and this has to be up there in terms of class and service. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The main hall was big, modern-​looking, clean, and stylish. Even the outside of the venue had beautiful garden to sit down, have a drink, and a conversation. Great landscape in the summer.
As a guest, the plate for the evening was already pre-​determined by the hosts. That night we were served a broccoli soup, garden salad, and some bread, It’s the usual you get but it was very good. The main dish was prime rib with horseradish sauce, buttery mashed potatoes, and some vegetables. I was very impressed with the cook and taste of the prime rib. Sometimes banquet halls serve a decent tasting, small cut of prime rib. But the prime rib here was cooked to perfection, well seasoned, soft as butter, and huge. However, the best surprise was the horseradish sauce. The sauce was not too over-​powering yet it provided a cool compliment to the prime rib that made it the best tasting horseradish sauce I’ve ever had. Food overall was superb!
In short, for an 18^th birthday/​graduation it was quite the elegant experience that must have been very special for the celebrant!
