The Shebang

Fun place with great staff! The prime rib is perfect. The pizza is delicious. The Italian Nachos are divine. The cracker bread is addictive! And the décor is just charming! What a treat to find.

We came here for a small wedding reception. The building has a lot of steps up and down as you make your way through the different rooms. The bathrooms are not the most private of spaces. Instead of stall doors there are shower curtains.
I watched a very pregnant woman drink wine while I waited 15 minutes for a glass of tea. It seems the staff should set some kind of a boundary on who alcohol is being served to. The general look of irritation on the faces of the wait staff adds a little extra joy to the case of the «screw its» they seem to have come down with. It took so long to order and receive our food that I can’t tell how good the food actually was because I was so hangry cardboard could have been a passable meal.

They served us Pizza hour and half early before they opened. Service was great and the bar tender was awesome!

Landed there due to a wrong turn. Will go back. Incredible food wonderful décor … Worth the drive and the price. Best I have ever eaten in the grand lake area

One of our favorite places to eat on the lake. Try the smoked salmon or the ribs. Both are consistently wonderful! Also, some of the best pizza! You can call ahead and the pizza will be ready to pick up!

For the lake this is one of the better places. Not great but for the area good. The white chicken pizza is great. We went late and then walked to Big Shots great for a girls weekend.

Best pizza anywhere. Best restaurant on Grand Lake. Their cracker bread is excellent. If you are not looking for pizza try the Baked American chicken.

Ate there today for lunch and felt thoroughly ripped off when we went. Sunday lunch time is brunch menu only, and neither hubby nor i felt like breakfast items, so we decided to get salads with add on shrimp. My strawberry spinach salad was around $ 7, i believe, so i wanted coconut shrimp for an extra $ 8, and hubs ordered a tossed salad for $ 6 with grilled Cajun shrimp for $ 7 or $ 8, don’t remember which, with an iced tea and Coca Cola. Well, when our salads came out, i was flabbergasted. My salad, average sized, had plenty of spinach, sliced strawberries, citrus poppyseed dressing, and TWO coconut shrimp. Hubby’s was average mesclun blend, few slices of cucumber, no tomato, and THREE plain boiled shrimp, no seasoning or coloring from a grill. I wanted to send them back, but he asked me not to make a scene. When the check came, i was sick to see that we paid over $ 40 including tip for two very average salads, FIVE shrimp (2 large and 3 mediums), two thin burned tasting flatbreads sprinkled with parm, and two nonalcoholic beverages. Folks, I’m a professional chef, and know damn well 5 shrimp don’t cost anywhere near the extra $ 15 we paid for them, unless you include their airfare from the Gulf in First Class seating. Never again will I darken that doorway. And Shebang, don’t try to make up your winter shortfalls by overcharging customers expecting their money’s worth.

Really, really, really good. I’ve eaten there a lot over the last 10 years and I have never had anything I didn’t like.

Absolutely a great place. Food is always good. Larry & Joyce go overboard to make sure everything is ok. I had te special last time there. The stuffed salmon was delicious.

Amazing! Such a variety of dishes! And amazing quality of food! The Italian nachos, ahi tuna, even the cracker bread is simply wonderful! Each dish that I have tried has a certain decadence and the atmosphere is one of a kind. What a neat place no wonder they have lasted so long in the grand lake area!

Its not a five star place but when I was living down there, it was the best place on the island to get food, this is a perfect 4.5 again. The pizza is always good and the owners are nice.

Went in the off season, they were out of some menu items which was understandable. The steaks were ok, not the worlds best prime as advertised, the italian nachos were delicious! Go for apps n pizza, will try again at peak season.

Eclectic is probably the best description. A broad menu with good quality of food, though somewhat pricey. Bar is always hopping and full of interesting grand-​lakers…

my favorite place on monkey island, and one of my favorites on all of grand lake. i give it a 5 just for the pizza. they have a lot of other food and it’s all great, but the pizza really is pretty incredible. its a thin crust style with a good sauce thats not layed on heavy, and the perfect amount of toppings and cheese. seriously… cant say enough about it… its that good.
service can get a little spotty on holiday weekends, so you may want to grab your food to go, but other than that it’s great service usually.
the bar is a great place to get to know some locals as they tend to hang out there. overall the place is just a lot of fun for a big group dinner. we go every time we are at the lake.
definitely a must if you’re at grand lake!
