so understaffed its puzzling to me they stay open. ONE person in the entire store at all times. this is not an exxageration. One person. So that means if 5 people are waiting in line and god forbid one has a coupon or a return? your waiting in line for 30 mins easily. Just to buy that can of cat food. Yup. Also, you can be standing in line waiting for up to 8 mins, i timed it once. While an employee is 2 feet away putting items away on shelves. Oh yes she saw me, but with 0 sense of urgency she stalked that entire shelf before coming over. Personally i have walked out of the store while standing in line 3 times. I just could not waste any more time waiting there so i can make my purchases. EVERYONE has this same complaint about the store, but word on the street is «corporate doesnt care, they are keeping 1 employee» You have lost soooo many customers. and the only reason i stayed was because its across the street and cheap cat food. but prices are now more then competitor stores so now i have no reason to go at all. I like the employees, John and jacklyn… allways nice. but again, no one wants to wait in line for 45 mins to get toillet paper. HIREMOREPEOPLE!!! ATLEAST2WORKINGFOREACHSHIFT. and if there is a long line then for the love of god stop stocking the shelves and jump on a register! One time(i have a hundred stories) about 7 people were waiting, unpatiently, in line while the one cashier slowly rang up items. FINALLY an employee walks up out of nowhere, yes finally! she is going to help on the register. she walks behind the counter, goes to the other register… then leaves and starts stocking shelves! i wanted to scream ! I used to work at JCP and they engrained into us, you drop off everything to help a customer. i wish other stores followed that motto, bottom line, i like DG. prices are ok… its near me so its super convieninet. HOWEVER because its so poorly understaffed, i travel a few streets away to dollar store. this place will be out of business within the year.
