I can’t live without their Chinese chicken Salad. A must every time I come home to Agoura. That’s my first stop.

The food was average. Beware of their takeout. They did not take our complete order. It wasn’t tell we got home did we realize items were missing. The staff when we went back was not helpful. Try take out somewhere else…

Every single time I eat at this Deli, it is Always wonderful. Our waitress Paula was so much fun to speak to. Great waitress who made suggestions and Paula was right on all choices. I feel like I am back in New York. Next time I will try the early bird dinner.

The food was really good here at the deli. It is close by to my parents house so that is always good and the service is the same as always. I love this place for breakfast.

Great Jewish Deli. The menu is huge; I have no idea how they pull this off. I’ve been going here for years and am always impressed. I ordered the french dip today with beef brisket, it was very flavorful. My only complaint is that some of the meat was chewy — however, the flavor made up for it. The macaroni salad that came with the sandwich was pedestrian, not impressed. The ambiance here is fun with all the movie posters and the hand painted surfaces. Service is always good here. Great breakfast place as well. Need a big breakfast?

I used to come here with my family over 10 years ago when i was growing up and I remember loving the pastrami sandwiches however I moved away. I was in town and drove over an hour to revisit Agoura’s Famous Deli as I wanted to return and eat the the food I remember. It was really disappointing. I ordered a pastrami and waited FOREVER. I didnt time it but took 30+ min. and when I got it, the bread was beyond soggy and the whole thing tasted in one word really«wet». I was super disappointed and called my family bummed out about this once great place.

Came here again for lunch. It’s still my favorite pastrami sandwhich in town! Get the garlic melt. It comes with your choice of meat, with avocado and melted cheese on garlic sourdough bread. The best!

I stopped by here with my mother for a late lunch. I had the garlic pastrami melt which was excellent. My mother had the stuffed tuna pita. I also had a coffee which was excellent. Overall, the food was good, but not great but certainly on par for deli food. The obvious gem of our experience was Jenn our server. She was sweet, understood the menu and provided great service. If I am ever in the area again, I will be sure to stop by and asked for Jenn.

Came in for brunch, delicious! As previously stated, I love breakfast menus. I ordered the ‘Towering Cinnamon French Toast’. A cinnamon challah french toast, layered in fresh strawberries, bananas and blueberries. Beware! This triple decker does get messy but its worth every bite. Great customer service, no complaints.

Lived in Calabasas for nearly 12 years and never stopped in here until this past month. We were very pleased. Everything from Liver to breakfast food to cabbage to pastrami burger — all were very good. For a deli, this one had a ton of selections beyond most(it’s been my experience most delis don’t have pasta for my very selective 11 year-old, for example). This was did. Mexican food? Sure. Jewish cuisine? Of course. We’ll be back

My wife and I were passing through the area on our honeymoon and decided to give this place a try. We had just been to a taping of «The Price is Right» and we were wearing shirts that literally said«We’re on our Honeymoon». It had been a long day, we were starving amd picked a random exit to see if we could find a local place to eat(we’re from Jacksonville, FL). We stumbled upon the deli and decided to give it a try. We had forgotten we were wearing the honeymoon t-shirts and immediately upon walking in, we were warmly greeted and asked about our trip: what we were doing, where we were from, etc. The deli was close to closing time but you never would have known it! We were welcomed like family! The other patrons came over to talk to us and wish us well, as did the staff! Our waitress was delightful too! The quality of the food matched the kindness of the people! We couldn’t believe how big the menu was. We had some delicious friend zucchini for an appetizer. For dinner, my wife had a gigantic reuben and I had a skirt steak sandwich, made with their family marinade. It was the best steak sandwich I have ever had. To top it all off, our waitress brought us a homemade éclair to congratulate us. The whole experience was just delightful. I am so glad we randomly stopped at this place. The people, both patrons and staff, were SO kind and the food was outstanding. When we left, they told us to «come back when we have our first child!» The place was so good, we just might!

Taking away one star because they put the tuna salad on the grill which is stupid and gross. It breaks down the mayo and makes the tuna really fishy. I just don’t try and order it anymore. That’s the only negative. Nicole is our favorite waitress! They have a huge variety of different items. Everything except tuna melts are really good. Their bakery items are poetry good too.

I love Agoura Deli. I have been coming here since it opened and I think it’s gotten better as the years have passed. Servers are friendly and there isn’t a ton of turnover with the staff so you get to know them. The feel of the place is small town. The food is very good. The Chinese chicken salad is one of the best I’ve tried anywhere. The dinner salads are generous and have a variety of veggies and cheese and great croutons. The corned beef and pastrami are both top notch and the portions very generous. The only complaint I have is that the chocolate pudding tastes fake and from a can. On the bright side it keeps me from eating it. Bottom line this is a nice local deli that’s got friendly staff and good food. Check it out!

All I can say is bad words over and over. It’s like I’ve died and gone to heaven. I can’t believe how flippen good this food is. The salsas and steak and eggs and ginormous black-white cookies. Jeeeeeeeezus. I’m mad I don’t live out here so I can come back for brunch on the weekends. Service is the tops too. Cooks are especially cool. They heard I liked salsa and make 2(!!!) from scratch for me to try. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back!

I recently ordered matzo ball soup for take out. When I got home, I found that whoever packed it all in the bag for me had piled everything on top of the container holding the soup, causing the cover of the soup container to break. More soup ended up in the bag, and in my kitchen sink than in my mouth. For such expensive food, you would think employees would be better trained to make sure the customer actually gets what they paid for. 2 stars because the food I actually got to eat was decent, but pricing and packaging just don’t make eating at the deli worth it anymore.

Famous for a reason! Amazing food. Large amount of choices on menu. Can’t really go wrong when ordering. Tables and floors kept very clean. Indoor and outdoor options available. Great for taking family or friends. Staff is very kind and attentive. The service is pretty fast. Ample parking in front of restaurant. My favorites: Chicken Caesar Wrap, Buffalo Chicken Wrap, Huevos Rancheros, Super Reuben, Nova Salmon on a bagel Be warned: the prices are so worth it, but breakfast with the family can get pricey.

Was in the mood for a bowl of soup so we stopped by last night. We came in on the early side and by 6, the place was crowded. My bowl of chicken noodle soup was just ok. Can’t say it was outstanding, didn’t have large pieces of chicken and the noodles were clearly packaged. What I can say is the broth was flavorful, not too salty and had lots of celery and carrots. The server was quite friendly and the staff behind the counter was sweet and polite. My dining companions split an avocado BLT on wheat and it looked terrific. Judging by the looks on their faces and their clean plate, they seemed to love it. My hubby ordered the turkey Ruben sandwich which came with coleslaw. It was good although the meat was a tad on the dry side. The coleslaw had a bit too much mayo. The pickles were good! One of my friends ordered tapioca pudding for dessert and while I didn’t taste it, his clean bowl and licking of the spoon said enough. The pudding was served with a generous squirt of whipped cream, too. The prices were fair, what one would expect in a deli. What shines most about this place is their kindness and the fact the it’s indeed a neighborhood deli. The servers recognized their regulars and seemed to give them a warm welcome.

Went here for lunch and ordered a Chicken Melt sandwich with Sweet Potato fries on the side. Greeted by cold and indifferent staff who were more interested in the gossip than taking orders. Cashier didn’t ask if I wanted a receipt or not and just took the signature on the credit card slip. Sandwich was ewww! A huge solid boiled/baked chicken breast thrown in with some melted cheese and fried onions. The bread was dry as a brick. The sweet potato fries look like they spent some extra time gossiping with the oil and got burnt.(see pics) Overall a 15 $ sandwich n side that a 7 yr old could have put together. I don’t know where the 5-star reviews are coming for but this place sucks. Avoid unless you are famished from living on a deserted island!

Agoura Deli rocked the house today with there excellent Lox, Onions and Eggs cooked pancake style! Our waitress and buss person was personable and very helpful as well. Don’t forget to do your Unilocal check in for a coffee or other drink. Bottom line is this was as good or better than any Deli in So. Cal and I have been to a lot of them(:
