This place is super cute and romantic. It has a lot of cute trinkets and the people that work there are very knowledgeable on the wines. It’s a good spot to come and enjoy a nice glass of wine while you wait for your table if you are having dinner At The Old Place. BUT… they could be a little bit more generous on the pours. Just saying

My boyfriend and I came here on a whim for Valentine’s Day, and we were so pleased with ourselves for doing so. Great ambience and just a lovely place to have a glass of wine and relax. The service was expectedly slow(it was packed), but my star deduction was really for the wine selection. They were only pouring four bottles, and no whites… bummer.

This place is great unless you get served by the bearded douche bag in a sweater. Thought it was just me, but read another recent review that said the same. Even Napa does not have such arrogant people working in their wine shops. Get over yourself, just be nice to your customers or maybe drink more wine and loosen up.

I just moved here from Northern California wine country. I’ve also done a fair amount of wine tasting in Santa Barbara. I’ve been excited to try some local wines and stopped in here just after breakfast this morning. I checked out the space and liked the setting and the live music. I approached the bar and asked the bearded server what the tasting was. He was extremely rude and condescending. I asked a few questions and was treated like I was some sort of idiot. I was embarrassed so I walked out without tasting any wine. Therefore I’m giving this joint one star.

Love this place! I stopped by last month for a wine tasting before eating at The Old Place Restaurant, and our service was fantastic. We received full descriptions of each wine before our tastings, and the mood was quickly set as we listened to awesome rock and roll music playing in the background. Upon walking into the Cornell Winery and Tasting Room, you can immediately tell that this place is exceptional. The room’s energy possessed warmth, comfort, and a casual friendly feeling where I craved more and more. For anyone who’s visited Big Sur, the rustic feel inside the winery shared a similar vibe. Not to mention the fantastic shop that has a lot of cool wine, beer, and other fun items that are great for gifts! I can’t thank the owner enough for giving Los Angeles such a special winery that sets itself apart from all the others.

So happy I found this tasting room. Rustic and quaint with great service and a very talented singer who played guitar. Just came for the tasting but could have easily spent a few hours there having wine and enjoying the ambience.

Brought my Parents here over the weekend and had a Lovely time sipping on delicious wines. This is more like a tasting room/store then an actual winery, they have bottles from different winemakers & you can purchase a bottle & drink it here. Also they have some Ciders & beer if you happen to be with people that aren’t much wine drinkers ;)

We went to have dinner next door at the Old Place, but there was a hour wait. So we came here .it’s right next door. Very small but quaint… they have 2 tables and 2 small bars for wine tastings. I think they only have certain wines each week and then change the next. We had a hard time getting someone to wait on us and they were not that busy. I finally asked a gentlemen if I could get a glass of Chardonnay. No Chardonnay… so I had to buy a bottle. I asked for a suggestion, he gave me a couple. I decided on a bottle and I never saw him again!!! He just stood around doing nothing, talking to other people :(( Finally had to ask another person, she got me my bottle of wine. The night we were in they had a guitar player… kinda small for entertainment, but he was good. Would I go back… NO!

Overall, didn’t care for this place. Me and my husband like to do wine tastings in wine country. Malibu is an interesting area for growing and we were hoping to experience a little of what that area had to offer. Disappointingly, Malibu wineries tend to be mostly small family owned places that don’t casually invite the public in for tastings. I bumped into this place thinking we’d have an opportunity to taste some great local wines and specifically at least one Malibu one. This is not the case here. We paid $ 10 each for a tasting of 4 low cost(I won’t say cheap, they were perfectly acceptable table wines) wines grown in Santa Barbara(which is kinda far off«local»). They don’t have tasting menus or have the selected tasting wines written out anywhere so you can assess what they offer. If you have questions about other local wines they can recommend a purchase, but there are no other wines to sample outside of the 4 they want to get off their shelves. All the wines we tasted could be purchased for under $ 25 in the store. If I had understood the situation, I would have spent $ 20 to $ 30 on a good recommended bottle rather than drink $ 20 of mediocre wine with my husband. No cabs were included in our tasting and service wasn’t that attentive either. So, as far as wine tasting experiences go, it has been the worst and most expensive for the quality. If you know what you want to drink, live in the area, and want to hang with friends in a casual setting I can see the potential of this place as a wine bar only. However, they need more bar and less awkward picnic table.

Djata, the«Special Events Manager» is just glowing with positive personality! My friend and I were out celebrating her birthday with a nice dinner. We ventured in to Cornell Winery and Tasting Room while waiting for a seat at The Old Place, the restaurant next door. I had been there a few times before and remembered a red wine that I had loved. They didn’t have it in, so Djata suggested a similar blend that was fabulous! While we drank and chatted with Djata, the other patrons were also friendly; there were a few birthdays being celebrated so the ambiance was upbeat and fun. It really felt like a little community. In the seating area in back, a solo acoustic guitar/singer played; it was really enjoyable. I also love that there are so many local artisans who display their works of food, jewelry, handmade goods and trinkets for sale. This place is really special, welcoming and definitely not to be missed! A+++ to the Cornell Winery and Tasting Room AND A++++ to their staff!

This is based strictly on an event that I worked, but I haven’t been to this place before. I finally also found that this is the location where Old Place Restaurant is(if anyone is looking for it). I met the owners, both very helpful. I would highly suggest anyone to come here or do an even there, it’s quite nice and has a lot of history. They have some private rooms as well.

4 wine tastings for $ 10, not a bad price. It was really busy with only two people working so the service and wine explanations could have been better. The ambiance was nice and had a cozy feel. They had live music which was a nice touch. We even got to see a peacock! Would go back on maybe not such a busy night.

Last week we held a corporate event for 30 of our top clients. Everything from the setting, to the food, to – most importantly — the attitude exceeded our expectations. Tim and his team were highly professional and very approachable throughout the evening. Of course, the true measure of success can only be measured but the impressions of our guests. Every single one of them echoed the same overall feeling: «can’t wait for next year.» As a long time patron, and now as someone who held a larger event, I highly recommend this place.

My friend and I stopped by this location and was pleasantly surprised. We are used to tasting in Napa or Paso where the pourers tell you about the wine. At many Malibu wineries, this is lacking… but not here. Good wine, low tasting fee, and reasonably priced wine.

3.5 stars I had the pleasure of coming to Cornell for our annual holiday Christmas party. With rustic countryside charm, I felt like I had been swept away from the madness of the city and taken to a wine soaked hamlet, somewhere peaceful and magical. The tasting room is small, but the selection of wines is diverse. They even have a few craft beer and cider choices for those who seek a break from the astringency of wine. The have a quaint dining hall with a large table destined for merry feasts. It fit our group of about 30 people quite comfortably. The food, in my opinion, was just average. My favorite was the shrimp cocktail appetizer, which was generous with piquant dipping sauces. Their sandwiches were a bit dry and too bready, perhaps not the best choice for a buffet style lunch. They offer a creamy pasta with mushrooms, which was edible but rather unmemorable. Service is adequate, but I felt it could have been friendlier. I love that they have a big, furry, friendly dog on premise! He was definitely the most pleasant member of the staff.

I adore this place. There are only three people working here. Last night there was Peter and Djata. Such awesome people to talk to. After dining at The Old Place, we popped in for some wine. I always end up walking around looking at all the cute things to buy. I ended up with 6 tiles(for coasters) and a stone tea light holder –which I left sitting there at the bar in a bag. *sigh…* I’ll call them to let them know. It will be an excuse to take a drive up again. I once bought wooden, hand carved mushrooms for a table in my home. Very unique. The owner has a great eye for fun stuff to purchase here. Great wine, great people, great atmosphere. Lots of comfortable seating. Bring your dog. Buy some fun delicious treats(especially the chocolate!) to nosh with your wine. Eat next door at The Old Place before or after visiting Cornell. Enjoy the immensely talented live performers outside who come inside as well. Drink in nature. You’ll love it here.

One of the prettiest tasting rooms in the area tucked away close to Troutdale(only in LA). And they have a cute dog. They don’t have a vineyard, the tasting consists of select wines and the pourers tell you a start to go with each wine. It is one of the many reasons I love wine: every bottle is a little bit different. We tries some great ones and even purchased a bottle, They have lovely and unique items for sale.

My birthday. I didn’t want to see anyone. I didn’t want a hotel room. I didn’t want a trip out of town. I didn’t want a party. I didn’t want to play host. I didn’t want to fight for parking. Nothing. It was MYDAY and I wanted a few friends around me who usually keep it low key and were on board to do whatever IIIIIIIIIIIIII wanted to do. And I wanted to go here. Exactly what I was looking for. Drinking wine in a bit of a rustic setting with charm, a few laughs with friends in a place not overcrowded with people. Next door to Old Place Restaurant, plenty of peacocks running everywhere, this place had a fun yet laid-back hip vibe. The guys behind the bar didn’t chat much, but they were cool and kept the wine flowing. And my friends gifted me with a few bottles of wine, my favorite here being the 2012 Primitivo. Well wouldn’t you know… I bought a Primitivo at the last place I think I love Primitivo. I think Primitivo is my favorite wine, yall.

Very small and cute wine tasting spot. When we drove in, it felt like we were not even in California. Inside is very unique. The tasting area is pretty small. Service was friendly. Did the $ 10 tasting. You get 4 wines to try. Nothing made by them. The wines were ok. It was a nice cheap place to start our wine tasting in Malibu.
