WORST IHOP EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE
Right off the bat, it took 30 mins for us to actually order, but I can understand that there were other people there. We (5 of us) all ordered chocolate milk. It took about 15 to 20 to come and when it finally did, I took a big sip to realize that it did not taste like chocolate milk at all. We soon come to the conclusion that IT WAS MADE WITH BBQ SAUCE INSTEAD OF CHOCOLATE SYRUP. But you know what, I’m a understanding person. The kitchen will mess up bad once from time to time. We finally got a actual chocolate milk, and the manager (I think?) told us that he would give us a discount. So that was good. BUT, when we’re all finished up with our meal and were paying at the register, they refused to let us split the checks because some other teenagers had ran off without paying. So they made us all pay in one bill. At this point, I said fine, so be it and he gave us the bill. I notice that they had ADDED ON THE TIPS FOR THEMSELVES ON THE BILL ITSELF AS IF THEY DIDN’T TRUST US TO TIP THEM. ON TOP, THEY ADDED A SERVICE CHARGE WHICH IS SOMETHING IVE NEVER SEEN IN MY LIFE AT IHOP OR ANY RESTAURANT. We payed them of course, but for some reason the cash we gave still wasn’t enough??? And they said we still owed them 11 dollars, so we gave them the card. Everything was very caught in the moment and we had no idea what was going on, but just wanted to pay off what was due. After examining the bill, we are certain that they have over charged us for some reason unknown and they did not pick up the phone when we called. They had robbed us of our money I will update on this issue.
Ps. They also charged us for fries that we did not order. Just to show u how incredibly bad this place is.
In conclusion: The absolute worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant in my life.

Ihop more like iflop. Their food quality and service is just about as terrible… no, worse… than the joke i attempted to make. (It only seemed approapriate). Anyway, we came in at one. Two hours later we are finally just leaving. Came in with 6 people. Four meals. 3 breakfast and one sandwich. One side. Our server came to the table once for the order and once to drop off the food. When he dropped the food off he threw one of the plates and said I think this was for this guy (who was in the restroom at the time). So RUDE… He then came back one other time to ask how everything was. We had already told the manager ALL of the food was cold except the sandwich. He said he would check on that and he never came back. Everyone else in the place ate, paid and left by the time we got our food. I spoke to the manager again and he said he would give us a discount. One person didn’t even eat the food because it was so cold. The waiter came back and gave us the full bill, and didn’t even ask if we wanted to split it. Went to the front and addressed the issue and said there was an uneaten meal on the bill and no discount. Asked for corporate number and they said there wasn’t one and it was our problem for not telling them the food was cold. WHERE is your brain?! We told you it was cold several times! At one point I even went to the manager and as I said excuse me he kept walking away! He straight up kept avoiding the issue. Anyhow I said how ridiculous it all was. He told us to call tomorrow blahblahblah. Finally got it all comp’d. Save yourself the time money and energy. Go to jack in the box. The food is cheaper and better. If u want a sit down experience take the time to drive to Dennys. If u want crappy pancakes and don’t want to make them yourself, go to a store if it is open, buy some frozen pancakes… leave them on the counter for 10 minutes and then eat them.

The food is pretty good but the reason why we come back is because of Jose. He is amazing and always gives the best service… tip top and fast!

Worst Ihop! went here late night at 11:30 on Jan 26 and was very disappointed with the food and service! Our server Lourdes was very rude she saw us walk in and she was right by the cashier, it was very slow not much costumers around and totally just walked away and ignored us. Until another server saw us and politely said we can sit anywhere.
My boyfriend ordered country fried steak which tasted good, I ordered Philly cheesesteak and was very disappointed. The bread was stale and hard, it tasted like one of those frozen microwaveable cheeseteak except that this was worse, hard to chew with barely any cheese in it and it did not taste edible at all. So we told the server/​cashier Lourdes about it and she asked us «what do you wanna do you want to change the bread?» With an attitude, she was more disappointed than I was. And when I told her can we please just change our order? she rolled her eyes and said okay.
I have worked as a waitress years ago so I’m usually very understanding and nice because I know what its like. However she was just very rude and I can sense the discrimination. She greeted other costumers happily while ignored us most of the time and was very rude to us. We were the only asians there and felt like we were being treated differently. I would not come back to this location again. As for our rude server I hope she gets better with her costumer service.

Swedish pancakes were good but not how I remember when I was young. Good solid breakfast but buttermilk pancakes are dry. Eggs were good with red smashed potatoes.

If u want to use the discount coupon, make sure printed it out. Its a little bit tricky and cheat, b/​c the coupon said we only need to show the screen to the employee.

I have to say, for a national breakfast chain, this was some pretty darn good breakfast. I have always hated Denny’s; I thought their food was dripping with grease and their pancakes/​waffles were flavorless. Ihop is a head above Denny’s. The price is still reasonable, but their diversity of pancakes/​crepes available is the main reason why.
I went with my family and two of us had savory crepes (spinach, chicken and mushroom/​breakfast crêpe), and two of us had sweet (swedish crêpe). The crêpe consistency and flavor was solid, and even with having an entire omelette in a crêpe, it wasn’t overly greasy.
Good place for breakfast.

Food is ok like every single Ihop. The only negative part is that they do not offer check in offer like they advertise ! Manager told our server that it needs to be printed ! What ??? How you supposed to print check in offer ??? Funny manager !

went in at about midnight and after waiting 15 minutes we weren’t asked what we wanted to drink and we had to go find a waitress to take our drink order. We finally ordered and after 45 minutes with no food we asked what was going on. They had lost our order and hadn’t even started making our food. After this we got up and left. Worst service I’ve ever had

Very disappointing service. My husband and I got seated right away, however did not get to eat. The server was a polite man, and let us know that there was a larger party of 10+ seated and wanted to put our order in before them, but I guess the party beat us to it. However, that’s not what disappointed me, it’s the fact that our server disappeared and never came back to check on us or to let us know when our food was going to be ready. My husband and I sat around for 45 min waiting for our food or to see our server, but we didn’t see neither. After realizing how long we’ve been waiting, we got up and left and not sure if we’ll be back in the future. Such a shame.

Everything I had there (blueberry pancakes, egg scrambles, cheeseburgers,…) was incredible for the price and knowing it’s a chain!

Had my first chicken and waffles just now! Ask for Jose! It’s sunday brunch, a short waiting list, but Jose is the friendliest, fastest, and best server I’ve seen during the busy sunday crowds anywhere in Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, or Agoura.

Came in at 5am on my way to work. Good breakfast with good service. Nice way to start the day :)

I don’t really expect much from these kinds of breakfast places so it wasn’t too bad of an experience this time around. Considering the breakfast/​lunch rush, the server was accommodating and helpful, but she forgot a lot of things on our orders and wasn’t the most friendliest face on the block. However, the knock off on stars is mostly due to the girl at the cash register. She definitely made the day WORSE for all of us. She is so lucky that I don’t remember her name and did not even want to waste my breath giving her my time considering how rude she was to me and the whole party that I was with. There is NO customer service from this girl and we were not satisfied with her attitude. Apparently she has never heard the term ‘customers are always right’ because she yelled at us saying that it was our fault that the checks were not split. If she was respectful and was not in a pissy fit towards us, this place would have received more stars from me on this review as well as a bigger tip. Your loss!!!

The location and hours of this IHOP were perfect. It was 1:45 am on the 4^th out July. I went with a friend after bar hopping. We were seated right away. It was busy and loud. There were many hipster who were eating after fireworks and beverages.
I ordered a burger and fries. It was good. My companion had breakfast. We were both happy with the service and our late night meal. Good job IHOP!

OH MY GOODNESS!!! Where do I begin??? Walked and got seated immediately, carpet was filthy *barf*… waitress took our order and it took about 40 mins to get our food. I ordered my fries well done and they were soggy as hell. Had to ask for napkins and utensils… she gave us 4 napkins and we asked for more and she came back and rationed out 2 more napkins like there was a shortage!
We could not determine which was worse; the food or the people who walked in there, between the women who looked like they just ended their night of «casual encounters» off Craigslist, the guy who was wearing house shoes, or the woman chewing her food like Mr. Ed I obviously lost my appetite!
Too bad we couldn’t give this place ½ a star!

Not satisfied at all, very cold inside and everything was terrible except food which was good.

We stopped here for breakfast, the parking lot was full, the lobby looked packed so we figured we would be waiting for a while. We were immediately sat, our server, Ale, got us all drinks and took our order. The food came out quickly, was hot and cooked perfectly. Ale gave us a few minutes to eat and then checked back to make sure everything was ok. They were very busy by the time we left but they were still quoting people 5 – 10 minute waits which seems very reasonable for a Sunday morning!

My husband and I rode our motorcycles this IHOP from Newbury Park. From the moment we walked it was bright and open and very clean. The manager was so nice and happy as was the rest of the staff. Our meal looked amazing. My husband had the Denver omelette and a side of fruit. Unfortunately for my husband the fruit had pineapple mixed in and he is allergic, so I ate the fruit and the manager brought a side of hashbrowns right away and cooked perfectly. I had cream filled crepes… amazing.
The atmosphere and the staff make this place invinting and family friendly. We will definitely be back!
