Blazin’ Steaks

This review is in regards to my dine in last week. Food was tasty, prices were normal, and there’s a lot of parking in the shopping center. The only thing that bothered me however, was the service. Seems like just a bunch of young kids working here, no problem with that if they know what they are doing and are able to work professional. But one of the girls in the back was on her phone screaming and dropping «f bombs» every other word! It’s an open kitchen so you can hear and see everything from the dining area. Not only did I think that was very unprofessional, but I had my 8 year old son with me and that’s the last thing I want him hearing! Hopefully the manager gets notified about this and takes action because something like that sure can make your business look bad. But aside from that, if you’re craving some steak come check out this place! 3 stars for the food being good

Worst steak and shrimp I’ve ever had! Steak was over cooked, shrimp was stale. Place was a mess and the employee handling the food had black sweat running down his face. Talk about hygiene. Last visit for me.

This is my go to place. When I need a quality meal quick I roll into Blazin. The portions are measured out for someone who is health or fitness concious and they are extremely flexible with their options, and in Hawaii you can’t beat the price. The meat quality is great and it’s all fresh made to order. If you’re a bodybuilder, powerlifter, weightlifter, or athlete of any kind this restaruant is an extremely convenient weigh to get fueled up.

Decided to give this place a shot since we love the Blazin steaks in Mililani, and i have to say that we prefer the one in Mililani. The Mac salad is different here and the corn isn’t cooked like the Mililani one. The steak is good, but for some reason they never have chicken– and I’ve gone two times at different hours-.

This place is on point. Chicken and steak mixed plate is bomb good location I found parking easy. They give drinks on Tuesdays for free.

So I haven’t eaten at Blazin Steaks for over 5 years now, that was my go to spot for my quick steak craving for lunch while living here. I guess Times Market steak Friday took over for a while. After years and years decide to get a large steak plate here. It was okay, but what happened to the serving now? Not sure if it’s only this spot, but my steak was cut like stir fry style, chopped up in small pieces? Knocked off stars for that. The cashier was cool and the place was clean, only thing off was the cutting of the steak!

Went last week for the first time. Couldn’t decide where to eat, bf chose here. I’m not much of a steak person but was too hungry to be picky. It was about 4pm, empty and clean. I got the steak and seafood mixed plate, he got the steak and chicken. Staff was friendly. Portions were not as big as the prices, and something was up with the mac salad. Maybe I’m just used to a liiiiittle more mayo (i don’t really like mayo, but it seemed to be missing some). I thought the quality of the steak and shrimp were okay, but my bf (steak-​lover) hated his plate. I don’t think we’ll be returning.

First and last time going to Blazin’ Steaks. Steak too salty, tough and not cut well… looked more like teriyaki style meat. I ordered it with all salad… what a mistake. The «salad» was just iceberg lettuce AND they gave me all the hard white parts.

Feel like eating red meat but tight budget… Blazing Steak is the answer. Tomorrow is payday so funds are limited. The family wants steak for dinner and never like tell them funds are low, so I suggested takeout at Blazing Steak. Haven’t been there in ages. I bought 5 plates gave the girl a $ 50 and got change back. Damm. That’s what I call a deal. They even gave a free drink with each plate purchased. Not sure if all the other stores did the same but the one in Aiea had the free drink. Hey the steak was pretty good for the price. I had worst at other places and paid twice as much.
My plate came with salad or choice of mac. Will come back again when funds are low and tired of eating Zip pack.

The original steak plate place for me! You have different choices and you can choose the way your steak is cooked! I haven’t been here in a while and after eating for so long from an imitator in Ewa Beach I just had to come here when I was in the area.
The dinning area is not too big and it can be a pain getting into the parking lot and finding parking can sometimes be a pain. It is a crowded strip mall so it’s not their fault. I think it’s a good trade off for some good eatin’!

Super short review! Price is a liiiitle high for the amount of food I got. I remember way back in the day when the regular steak plate was just $ 6 or something like that. Sadly those days are gone.
The food is actually not so bad, but whenever I go to Blazin Steaks, no one ever seems to make my meat medium-​rare despite me telling it to them. Not that the meat is horrible otherwise, but I still wish it would be cooked the way I like it. The shrimps are alright but they seem to differ from location to location. The ones at this location are small, rubbery and chewy, kinda like those ones you get in the freezer section at costco. I don’t mind them though. Just wish they were the bigger ones and not so… rubbery.
No problems with service when I came last night. The boy behind the counter was actually really nice and reminded us that Thursdays is free small drink night.
As for the interior, it’s the same as pretty much every Blazin Steaks for some reason. The tables are beat up and wobbly, the chairs are old, the inside looks very… urban lol. I don’t have a problem but… I always wondered what exactly was with that.
Three stars because it’s one of those essential go-to’s for steak plates. Not very many other places to go for that and conveniently there’s a Blazin Steak like in every town. Two stars were lost for interior just being so… grungy looking the prices that seem to rise slowly every few years, but there’s nothing really «wrong» with it per se. Come. Get your steak on. Leave. Blazin Steaks is a good place for a typical plate lunch.

I went there tonight because it was close to one of my favorite milk tea places, so basically kill two birds with one stone.
I ordered a mushroom chicken with extra mushroom, a side of mushroom sauce, and a steak and shrimp combo. For one thing, the service I received was not at all friendly; it’s like she doesn’t like her job or she was too good for it. When she gave me my order, she gave me of what looked like a scoop of mushroom sauce. Really?! For a $ 1.25?! I asked the big guy that was usually behind the kitchen with earphones on, and he basically waved me off to the cashier who took my order. Again, a worker who thinks he is too good to work for this place.
So I took my food home after a half hour of doing errands. Opened up my food plate, expecting to have my order complete with my mushrooms, but no mushrooms. I called the store to say that they are missing my mushrooms. The person who answered told me I have to go back to the store to get a refund tonight. I told them I’m not driving down there when I’m already at home at Waipio. Then she told me that I can come back another time and get a refund. I told her refund for what? She said for the $ 1.25 for the mushrooms. What?! I don’t want to drive down there to get a $ 1.25 refund. What I want is to have my order correct the first time. Why is it not right when I order it? Apparently, the person who answered the phone can’t take complaints from customers so she gave the phone to the cook, Aaron. He told me that the cashier is new and that I can either have a full refund of my plate or a new plate the next time I come. I can also call in the morning because the owner, Reggie, will be working.
I may have to get a refund. They might do something to my food if I get a new plate. Especially when they know I’m the one that complained. I don’t think I’ll be going to this place again.

The garlic steak tastes amazing and they’re not overpriced (rare in hawaii). Would’ve been a four star review if they out just a little more steak /​fish in the mix combo which is what I had. Definitely a nice little hole in the wall

Like another reviewer stated, it doesn’t look like much so was not expecting anything great. But the food was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised too. The garlic steak had a great flavor, comes with rice and salad. Great place for a quick meal.

Popped in for a quick lunch, I’ve heard this spot mentioned by a few friends so was eager to try it out. It was prepared pretty quickly and the steak tasted great. Not much to describe for ambiance, besides the tv playing a decent movie in the background, but no complaints here. A great place for a quick bite at a good price. :)

This place is not bad. The small plate comes with more then enough for me. I love their garlic steak here. One thing I do notice is that they don’t ask you how you want steak prepared. They cook it well done but I prefer it more medium. They have sauces available on the counter such as Tabasco, worcesterchire, and korean sauce. They also offer brown rice option here. The prices are not bad either.

Not bad for a steak plate under $ 10. They have regular and large size steak plates. I order the regular and I can never finish it all. The prices run about $ 8 and I order sweet corn with it so it’s another dollar. They also have chicken, fish and shrimp that you can also make combo plates or by itself. I used to like the sweet chili fish but the portion of fish is so small now so it’s not worth it to me.
The plate comes with toss salad and two scoops rice, but you can order it with all rice or all salad. The meat comes out cooked well done most of the time. They have never asked me how I want it done so I’m not sure if that is an option or not.
There are a variety of sauces you can choose from, but you need to put it on yourself, they don’t do it for you. I always get A1 sauce. My bf loves the korean sauce. They also have worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, ketchup and tobacco sauce. Salad dressing is ranch or thousand island.
Service has always been good for me here. I haven’t had a problem with rude workers. Service is also pretty fast. I appreciate that the steak is sliced thin so it’s easier to eat.
Parking can be a headache since they are located almost in the back of Pearl Kai shopping center near the gym. People are always in and out so if you are patient it’s ok.
The only thing I don’t like is their rubbish can. It’s an actual garbage can with a lid so when you throw away your rubbish, you have to touch the garbage can. Yuck.

No so good… I ordered the thai peanut chkn and furikake fish. Perhaps i should have ordered the steak. haha
Fish pretty basic, but the chicken was sub-​par. The peanut sauce on the chicken resembled poo, so it was pretty unappetizing.
Might go back to try the steak, but not sure yet.

Decent tasting lunch plate at an affordable price although service at times can be a bit slow.
Seems like you get about 6 – 8 ounces of steak, two scoops of rice and salad with dressing or mac salad. Not bad for around $ 8.00 and on Tuesday’s Military get a free drink with their order. They also serve chicken and shrimp and other dishes if you aren’t interested in steak and that lilikoi juice is off the hook. Try it!
Don’t expect filet mignon but for the price and taste this place gets four stars.
