Yummy local place. We found it randomly driving to the airport from the North Shore. Definitely a local’s favorite. Who came out really fast and we were out within 45 minutes to get to the airport on time

Disappointed? Yes. I’d been here 2 – 3 times, and I kept thinking that they’d get better. I would’ve been content to simply cease visiting and giving them my hard-earned money — but then I tried ordering a @12.99 mixed plate(posted a photo earlier). Value is simply not there… if it were outstandingly good it may have been valued at $ 12.99. Had it been mediocre, BUT generously portioned, it may have held that value. However, they missed on both points. Add to that, a 20 minute wait, and that seals the deal. At least I now know. Be forewarned. Make sure to have reasonably set expectations should you visit. For the experiences that I’ve had there… Don’t go hungry. Don’t go expecting to get a decent deal for your money. Set your expectations so that you don’t walk away as I did… disappointed.

Happened upon this place while looking for a breakfast place using the Unilocal app. So glad we were nearby Pearl City at the time. Got super lucky with timing because as soon as we walked in the line grew behind us to out the door. There’s not a ton of seating for the amount of people coming through but we managed to get a table after we ordered. Fried rice loco moco, classic eggs Benedict & a side of corned beef hash and it was all good. Food came out ridiculously fast, I mean the fastest I have ever seen honestly. Portion sizes were generous and the prices were reasonable. Will definitely be back when I’m in the pearl city area craving breakfast.

Very clean inside. Plenty of seating as well. Service was ok. You go up to the counter, order your food, then have a seat, and they bring your food over to you. I got chicken and waffles with honey butter or something like that. I got the the small portion. The pieces of fried chicken are huge and looks really tasty. Crunch factor on the chicken is great, however the chicken lacks flavor… You enjoy eating the crunchy skin and then get to the meat of the chicken and it’s totally bland… they need to figure out a new recipe for their chicken or add a little something something on it… the waffle however was delicious! Chicken to waffle ratio is off. Way too much chicken for one waffle. I’ll try it with gravy next time around.

Back again this time to try their homemade clam chowder. It’s $ 4.99 in a bowl or $ 7.99 in a bread bowl. Well I was a little surprised to see a huge helping of green onions in my soup. As for the taste, it sure didn’t taste like traditional New England clam chowder. It had the consistency of clam chowder but taste more like black pepper soup! Won’t be trying that again!

Mom and I are here at Pancakes & Waffles in Waimalu! We ate here last week and I forgot to leave a review so here goes… we both had Loco Moco with fried rice, OMG it was so good! The serving size was huge so don’t order if you’re not like really hungry! The fried rice was good, the hamburger patty was totally thick and yummy, the gravy was tasty and fresh, and to top it off the eggs were perfectly cooked! The whole meal was delicious and very filling, we were so full we couldn’t do a dessert! We both stayed full the rest of the day! I highly suggest the Loco Moco over fried rice! Today we had the Monte Cristo sandwich, it looks so big on the TV menu, we decided to order one and split it!!! The sandwich is 3 layers of yummy dipped in a great batter and fried! We dipped in jelly, so we had sweet, cheese, turkey and ham heaven!!! Given that split the sandwich we were able to do dessert too!!! Deep fried Oreos topped with whipped cream!!! Yummy! I recommend giving this restaurant, I know you’ll find something you like!!!

Been here numerous times and we love the food. Service is always on point and food is yummy, reason for the 4 star rating is the seating… it’s a popular breakfast eatery and they know they get busy on the weekends, they should somehow expand to add more seats or change the seating they have now. sunday mornings consist of guest looking frantically for seating while trying to decide what to eat. Good thing I had neil with me so i can tell him to sit down, otherwise food would of been taken to go

I have to say this place is all about comfort food. If you want to fill up and eat for a good price. This place will not disappoint. I haven’t seen one plate that doesn’t look good. Lots of fried foods so it’s not an all the time place, but great for those cheat days. Update-so there is a new face and she is awesome! Sarah is a professional employee that interacts with the customer. Not just taking an order. She ask my Wife n I how we were doing and if we needed anything. That extra effort was noticed and appreciated. I can’t leave out my other favorite employee Charmaine. She is always someone I look forward to seeing here. These two ladies have it down. Last, Thanks to the guys in the back your food is always great!

Service was friendly and fast but the food is kinda meh. The menu is extensive! I got the fried rice special with bacon and eggs. The meat and eggs were cooked well, but the fried rice lacked seasoning or taste. It was just underwhelming. We also got the apple pancakes which were good but you can tell it’s just canned apple filling thrown on top. The pancakes were a little chewy for my taste.

One lazy morning we decided to come here and have breakfast. I ordered the apple caramel pancakes(short stack) and the country breakfast. Obviously my eyes were bigger than my stomach and the apple caramel pancakes would have been plenty because I wasn’t able to finish it all. The country breakfast was A-OK(hence the rating). The sausage links seemed a little under cooked to me and was bland. Even the eggs had a powder egg taste to it, and coming from the military I know this taste too well. I had a taste of fried rice and that too was bland. I added some salt for some flavor but that only helped a little bit. If I ever come back here, it’ll be for the pancakes. As far as there other menu items, I’d be hesitant to try again.

Location: The restaurant is located in the same shopping center as Office Depot and Safeway near Starbucks. Food: We ordered the honey chicken and waffles. The chicken was tasty and the portions were huge. The waffles were okay. The fried cheesecake was not what I hoped it would be. The batter they used to fry the cheesecake lacked flavor. It was a plain dessert. It would have tasted better if they added a chocolate syrup. Price: The food is reasonably priced around $ 10. You do order first and they’ll deliver the food to your table. Interior: The restaurant is clean and the menu is nicely displayed. Overall, I will be back in the future to try other foods on the menu like the fried Oreos.

FOOD-The food here is nothing more than okay. I do like their deserts that they have and that is DEEPFRIEDEVERYTHING sweetened with sugar: D Yummmm! my favorite has to be the deep fried oreos! But lets not skip the food and get right to desert. Haha, I usually order the fried rice with bacon and and eggs. The fried rice is very MEH, the flavor always tastes like its missing something… OH wait i know!!! BACON! and more meat in the rice wouldn’t kill anyone and it will defiantly make the fried rice a lot more savory and flavorful! My boyriend is a fan of the omeletts they have here, he likes that they add a good amount of meat into them, but what he didnt like is the overload of cheese! SERVICE-The service is okay here as well, if your dining in you get a number after you order and then it turns into the hunger games, there is limited seating so you have to dual to the death to get a spot! haha, we mostly do take out and just go to the park up the road to enjoy the quiet and the food!!! The waitresses are OK, nothing spectacular about them, they dont really conversate but they do get their jobs done! I can recall a time when I went tho, that a girl there gave us a really bad attitude because we needed additional plates and forks because we were sharing the food with our little ones that day! LOCATION-This place is located in the waimalu shopping center with safeway and DIners. There is a huge lot for parking and its pretty easy to find and get to! But this location is also very popular because it is the only other one I know of other than the Dillingham location so this particular one does get pretty busy! prepare to wait in a line out the door to place the order… And if and when possible try to phone order so there isnt so much of a wait and a line! OVERALL-We will return here for the good old breakfast because there isnt much breakfast places around the town to get the old fasion bacon and eggs! I will also always be back whenever I am in the mood for something FRIED :)

Went here to take my mother out for a brunch belated birthday present. This place was packed even for a Sunday late morning. The line was almost out the door. Lucky thing you can seat yourselves first before ordering if not I think we would of had no seats. We asked another party if someone was using the table next to them and the said no, so we lucked out. My brother waited in like while we all took turns ordering. I decided to try their specialty chicken and Waffles but with country gravy on the side. I also got a side of their fried rice. The chicken was very good as usual, crispy and moist with a lot of flavor. The waffles were good too. It was a lot of food and I should of not ordered the side of fried rice… we took the leftovers home. I am now stuffed again… and satisfied for now. Recommendation next time is go early or a little latter to avoid the Sunday breakfast rush. Or just take out. Well worth it.

I don’t know if I just came here on an off day but the food is a bit too greasy for my liking. I ordered the honey butter chicken and waffles. Now I know what you’re thinking. «Diana you ordered chicken and waffles and expected it to NOT be greasy?» And I get it. But the waffles were really soft — almost mushy on the inside — because of how much oil or butter is in here. The chicken is in dire need of more seasoning. I somehow can’t taste the honey that’s drizzled on here. The skin just tastes like fried, with no flavor. I am thankful that there are free drink refills so that I can wash down all of the grease coating my mouth. Long story short, I’ve had better, and I left a bit disappointed. I will probably be back to try a different dish next time.

Always my go to place for breakfast. I always call ahead and place my order because sometimes they can get busy. Plus I never had the opportunity to actually sit down and eat which I hope to do soon. The place from the outside definitely draws your attention. The parking is sometimes a pain but what can you expect from a shopping center lol The restaurant itself is clean and organized and vibrant. It has a welcoming vibe and is spacious and can handle a crowd I only order breakfast from there. Typical, port and eggs, bacon and eggs, but what makes it special is the price and the portion. Eggs are never overcooked and the port or bacon is always nicely presented with a slight crisp but not burnt. Will write a more extensive review when I venture to something different than my norm

A week ago I saw their advertisement for the churro waffle and told the BF that I «NEED to eat that!» I finally went today but ended up getting the waffle eggs benedict instead. I’m sure I missed out a lot on the churro waffle(because seriously how can a churro — one delicious thing — and a waffle — another delicious thing — not taste amazing together?) but I was really pleased with my waffle eggs bene. It came with home fries, and a lot of them, at that. It was delicious and I’d definitely recommend it! It was so rich and creamy… My BF had the chicken and waffles with brown gravy, which he really liked. The first time he tried their chicken and waffles, he had it with country gravy; he normally loves country gravy but said theirs fell a little short on taste. He was, however, a lot happier with the brown gravy this time around. The restaurant is very clean but seating is somewhat little limited. We went around 10:30, so it was pretty crowded. There was a line the entire time we were there and maybe only 2 — 4 seats open at any given time. We ordered our food to go just to be safe.

Wow! Their chicken and waffles is on point! The wait can be lengthy at times depending on when you come in, but the product is well worth it. Came here first thing in the morning as soon as they opened up, and they told me it would be 20 mins before the chicken would be ready. NOBIGDEAL! I had to wait for the chicken with no line… worth it! I got the sweet honey I think, and it was good as good can get. The waffles were good, and I’m not a waffle/french toast/pancake person so for the waffle to be good for me, it says a lot. The chicken is awesome! Will work for food!

We came here around 11 and there was no line. I was surprised to see that because the reviews I read were about the lines going out the door. Since it was our first time there, I turned to my trusty Unilocal to make my decision for me. I chose the honey butter waffle. My husband got the mini waffle benedict, while my son got the blueberry pancakes. I usually get our orders to go, «just in case» even though we eat it there. We picked a place to sit and immediately noticed the silverware at the table. I also noticed that if you order it «for here» they bring it out to you on an actual plate. This was a nice surprise and something new. Anyways, when our order was done, they brought it out to the table. The girl that was working the front was very polite and asked if everything was ok, as if it was a sit down type of restaurant. She was also quick to clear out the tables when people leave to make room for more customers. Food was good. Im glad I listened to the cashier and got the honey butter on the side cause if it wasn’t I would’ve been eating a whole bunch of oil like one other Unilocaler said. The chicken was huge, btw. I made a good choice of getting the 2 piece and not the 3 piece cause I could barely finish 1! I also got to try my husbands Benedict, it had good flavor to it. The hollandaise was a tad bit salty tho. I never got to taste my sons blueberry pancake since I was full off of my own food. But I could tell you this: the pancakes were huge! It was literally as big as my sons head – AND there were 3 pieces! I would like to come back again and maybe try something else off their menu. The time we were there was perfect as there was no line and also there were tables available right away.

Came here for brunch for the first time with my wife and my son today. We arrived at 10:30, and it wasn’t busy as bust as we expected. We were able to place our order, and find seating almost instantaneously. If you love chicken and waffles, then you’ll definitely love it here. Their menu has a variety of choices to choose from. My wife ordered their chicken and waffles, I ordered their mini waffle eggs benedic, and my son order their short stack blueberry pancakes. All I can say is «da buggah was ono» the portions are huge, and very flavorful. They also have other local favorites such as Loco moco, crepes, omelets etc. So whatever you are craving for, they have it here. The service and food turn around time was quick, and hot and fresh. Nothing seemed to be pre made, and you can definitely feel the love they put in to their food here. The restaurant is located in the Waimalu shopping center, right next to starbucks and diners. They have tons of parking available here, but sometimes can be an issue depending on the time of the day. It can get pretty busy here because they have tons of stores located in the same shopping center. My suggestion would be to come here during brunch, or mid afternoon to ba able to get good parking. We will definitely be back with my 2 daughters cause I know they’ll enjoy it here just as we did today. Happy eating!
