So happy there’s a store like this on this side of the island now! The salespeople are so friendly. I was buying new shoes for the marathon(for the 2015 marathon) and the male salesperson who helped me was so friendly. He asked me which type of shoe I was currently using, which was, at the time, Lunarglides I got in 2012. I picked out one pair of Mizunos and he brought our four or five similar shoes for me to try, taking into consideration that I said I have a bad knee and ankle. I hate when salespeople bring out multiple shoes because I feel bad knowing they took them out when I’m obviously not going to buy all of them, but he was very accommodating and kept grabbing shoes he thought would work well for me. I told him he didn’t need to bring more out, but he said it was imperative I get the right shoe for my feet. He even felt the way my feet fell naturally to get an idea of what type of shoe would fit me best. They don’t just want your money — they want you to leave with the best shoe for you and your running style.

We had a great experience here. The guy that helped us was patient and courteous. I would definitely come back again. He was even willing to offer us a small student discount on our purchase

Awesome customer service and surprisingly large selection for such a small store. Stopped in to buy some hydration tablets and energy gu. The lady at the counter was helpful but not pushy and pointed out the sale they were having. Lucky me — I found a great pair of shorts for 40% off. I’ll be back when it’s time for more stuff.

First review of 2016 and the perfect business to give my first review of the new year especially when I’ve been meaning to stop by this store since it opened. If you don’t want to trek into town or Kailua, you have few options for running shoes when you’re living on the west side. Granted, there is the big sport stores but I prefer to go to the businesses that cater specific to the running community and Runner’s Route is one of the few stores on island. Great deals on shoes, apparel and accessories along with friendly, knowledgable staff helps when you’re looking to buy running shoes. The brands available is ideal because you’re not just purchasing the brand but the quality behind it and Runner’s Route make sure you’re spending on what your feet needs to make your running experience worth it.

Unlike a previous review I had excellent customer service from the male Japanese national. Prices are very good compared to Amazon and Shoebuy.

This review is only for the aiea location. Been purchasing shoes from their town location for a while now, but the service that I received at this location was horrible. It was the service that received from the tall, tanned Asian guy that left a bad taste in my mouth. I mean this guy violated all the rules. He’s in the customer service industry and he’s A Japanese national… At least he didn’t have to get all up in my face when I inquired about a student discount. Well whatever already. Over buying shoes from such a place that makes you feel like they’re doing you a favor by selling you their shoes.
