Sukotai Massage 1

All the other places were booked but thankfully we were lucky to get an appointment here on a Sunday! My husband and I decided to get a couples massage; he got the deep tissue/​lomi lomi/​thai combo and I got the aromatherapy/​swedish/​thai combination massage. Both of us really enjoyed our massages from the ladies. The woman who did my husband’s massage even stood on his back. Overall, we enjoyed our massages! The staff were super friendly, the atmosphere was relaxing. They even made us take off our shoes at the entrance. We really enjoyed this place and we will be back again! Parking was not an issue.

My mother (very spry 80 something) and I went for the massage. Thanny and Harumi were great — tailored the massage for my mom (some Thai stretching, focusing on her areas needing stretching, etc.) My massage was excellent also. Place is very clean and attractive, simple not fancy and good parking. Definitely will go again.

Best massage I have had on island so far! We got it from groupon cause I’m in search of a massage place. We’ve tried multiple one but this place. Is my fav. Super firm just like I like. Channy my masseuse, asked me how the pressure was and I asked her to make it a bit more firm. It was perfect from then on. She stayed consistent the whole time too! The room wasn’t to hot or cold. Perfect temp, no over powering smells of oils like some places. The place is very clean. Love the ambiance. We will be back soon!

Decided to get a massage since the mister was at work & kids were away… called at 4:30pm & got an appt for 6:30pm…also got a sweet deal from groupon & was honored right there! And let me tell you it was the BESTEST massage I had yet! Yvonne was AMAZING & I couldn’t be any more happier! Got the thai/​deep tissue combo — she was on point 100% of the time & super sweet! Can’t wait to go again! Thank You Yvonne for that 1hr of being in heaven, I’ll definitely see you again!

Got a groupon for myself and my husband so that we could try this place out… It’s close to where we live and I figured If we liked it we’d continue to go… I called to set up an appointment and the lady who answered was soo sweet and friendly and we were able to set up an appt for my husband and I for 1030 … When we got there no one was at the front desk but we were quickly greeted and checked in… My husband and I were put in a room together which we were not expecting but hoping for :) this was my first time getting a Thai massage and I loved it. I felt soo refreshed and stretched out afterwards. This was my husbands second Thai massage (he’s the one who recommended that I try it) and he loved it as well… He did mention that they didn’t do some of the crazier moves he had on his first but still enjoyed it … We will definitely be going back!

The facility was very clean, but a little hard to find. The address associated on Unilocal is incorrect. Look at the pictures for the solar store. That’s where it is located. On the second floor above the solar store.
The people working there are very nice, and polite. Also very accommodating. However, my massage therapist was only average. Her skill was undeveloped, her technique was choppy at best, and not very smooth. I think she was still learning. She was very polite. But I could not say that it was worth what I paid.

Thanks to my sweet boyfriend, I got an early birthday gift this year and it was AH-​MAZING. I chose a combination Thai/​deep tissue massage and I left feeling relaxed yet rejuvenated. She started off doing the deep tissue a little soft but after I told her I wanted a little more pressure it was perfect. She hit spots that I didn’t even realize were tight. It hurt so good. Then the Thai massage started. She walked on my back and stretched my legs and arms. Like yoga but without any effort on my part. I could literally feel things going back into place. When it was all over I thought I would need to rest for a bit before running my errands but to my surprise I felt energized and ready to hit the road. I’m definitely going back and taking my love with me for a couples massage.

I’ve visited other massage places that are over-​priced and I felt like they just rubbed my skin with oil… Thanny at Sukotai got my knots out and I’ve been going back to her ever since. I’ve brought my whole family and a few friends to see them. They’re are the absolute best in my opinion. Give them a try, it’s definitely worth it! Prices are fair, customer service is fantastic, and plenty of parking. I wish I could give 10 stars! Thanks you thanny!

Thanny is the best at what she does! She may be tiny but she has amazing strength. This is the only massage place that I go to because it’s so welcoming. I’ve been going to Sukotai since it was located in Waikiki and now I don’t mind traveling to their new location because I know it’s all worth it. I love getting the deep tissue and Thai massage combination! Hope my review helps you all who’s looking for a massage place. I always recommend Sukotai!

HIGHLY dissapointed. I decided to give this place a try because it’s in the area. I book an appointment for 130pm. I arrive there 10 minutes early and no one was there to greet me. I conveniently fill out the form left on their front desk and wait for someone to assist me (thinking maybe they’re still with another client). I hear laughing and a t. v playing in the background, yet decide to wait patiently rather than barge in on another client. I make it known I’m there by saying hello a few times, yet no response. I wait another 15 minutes after my booked appointment time and still no one came out. At this point I’m irritated that I’ve waited 25 minutes and not willing to pay $ 70 for an hour massage. Because of the horrible customer service, I will take my money else where. Thanks.

Was looking for a place near home that open a lil later than usual. Just my luck, this was one of the only places open til 9pm on a Sunday. I’ve been to multiple massage joints cross the island over the years, I’d have to say this is the best place yet I’ve been to thus far. Even though my appointment was a lil postponed, the staff was vey friendly and apologetic for the delay. Got to send thanks to gina (forgive me if I spelt your name wrong lol) for finding and taking out all the knots and tension located all over the friggin place! I didn’t listen to your advice, and I ended up hitting the gym the night of my massage lol now I’m in slight discomfort again –_​– nobody’s fault but my own. Deep tissue massage was the shits though. Just enough pressure for that painful pleasure. Always a plus when your therapist looks good too. Nothing like a woman good with her hands. Maybe some hot tea or frequent flyer points would be nice. Other than that, I’ll definitely be checking this place out again. Five stars bro!

Seriously impressed! My fiancé and I just got the Thai and deep tissue massage and we feel amazing!!! GREAT massage and AWESOME price! It was the first time I had someone walk on my back like she did! Definitely 5 stars:-D

They just opened the Aiea location and I am thrilled that they’re so close to where I live. The rooms are wonderful, very well kept and comfortable. The therapists are kind and welcoming. Enjoyed a relaxing massage with firm pressure and ashiatsu techniques. I’ll definitely be back!

One of thes best massages I’ve had yet. Swedish, hot stone, tai combo. Went with my girlfriend she was able to be in the same room with me in very relaxing peaceful setting. So relaxing at the end my back cracked in every vertebrae when I sat up. And again when I turned to each side… I don’t remember but my girlfriend said I was snoring. Bliss

Wicked awesome massage!
I struggled with the choice of paying more money for a fancy spa with free-​flowing fountains and huge showers and an entrance reminiscent of Roman baths… but when it comes down to it, I just want a massage and a relaxing experience.
This place is small, quaint, and in no way has the capacity for the theatrical eccentricities and extras that other expensive spas may offer. But their massages and their masseuses were amazing. They walk you through the process, they don’t speak much unless they need to, they mold the experience for you.
I got a combination massage of Thai/​deep/​Swedish and I was afraid of the Thai portion but they reassured me and when I went through with it I was glad. There are some interesting positions that you will go through and at times wonder how you can even stretch that far, but the end result is just as good if not better than those expensive massage places. I felt rejuvenated, relaxed, and yes, slightly sore (in a good way). The ladies are calm, courteous, and polite. I had no issues whatsoever and will definitely come again.
Parking is in the hotel structure and is validated by them so at least there’s no hassle with that aspect.

Had a couples massage with my husband, it was awesome!!! We had the Lomi Lomi massage. I’m no expert but I felt like it was more of a therapeutic massage, than just relaxing because they bend your body into different positions. They literally use knees and elbows, which was pretty cool. The misuse I got told me my neck needed more work, and asked me if I spend a lot of time near a computer (which I do). She worked on that area for a while and suggested follow ups. I would def recommend this place, it was clean, professional and relaxing.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quality massage in the Waikiki area.
I was impressed with the ambiance, professionalism, and the overall great experience at this place. Clean, organized, neat, nice background music, and best of all: One of the best massages ever (Ask for Tanny, she was amazing).

I treated my girl to a massage here. I spoke to the «manager» over the phone and confirmed the price was $ 50 including the Unilocal deal for a massage. When I arrived at the counter to pay, suddenly the price was $ 70. The confusion might have been due to the fact that English was her second language, but the end result was that the customer was not correctly informed of the price and was left with negative feelings towards this establishment. Also, instead of apologizing for the miscommunication, the «manager» chose to be rude and argue with the customer. Not very relaxing for a massage parlor. Unhappy ending! :)
Update: I just got a message from this shop that stated that I was wrong because all the other employees supposedly heard the manager quote me $ 70 over the phone. I know what I heard, and implying that I am wrong is not the best way to handle this situation. It would be advisable to have someone with a better command of English communicate over the phone with customers to avoid miscommunication in the future. In any event, there was no excuse for the rudeness by the manager when dealing with my issue. Hence, I am lowering my rating to 1 star. AVOID THIS SHOP!

On the 6^th floor of the Hawaiian Monarch hotel, this massage parlor is small but convivial. The atmosphere is relaxed and zen. I only wish they had a small room for a post massage tea or such.
I had a Lomi Lomi massage by Christiane, and it was great. She enquired about my preferences, massage history, pain history before we started, and I really felt the massage was customized.
The Lomi Lomi massage really is different from what I’m used to, lots of forearms and elbows involved. But it was the good kind of pain! She really insisted on the areas I asked, and it was overall quite relaxing.
