Returned to my favorite restaurant for a quiet Friday night dinner with friends. The duck is amazing and somehow always end up with one of the ducks on the menu. Anyone in Aiken will agree that locals tend to visit this spot. Give it a try and I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Sesame chicken: I think they rolled the chicken in Elmer’s glue, threw some sesame seeds on top and added a few small, old pieces of broccoli. My girlfriend tried a few bites of her egg foo young and thought she had been poisoned. Stay Away!

The waiter looked at me like I had three heads when I asked if they had crab rangoon. Moving on…

this place is just good. I have searched and searched for a place like Jade of China and have yet to find one. Whenever I come into Aiken, I make sure to grab some awesome Chinese!

We order take out from here. We have never eaten in. They have the food ready within fifteen minutes of ordering. I get the General Chicken. It’s is big pieces of chicken. Not those little dry nuggets some places make. The sauce is good. The sweetness is mild, not overpowering. I usually ask for extra spicy, but it is typically mild for me. I have a high tolerance for hot foods tho. Tonight it was very hot! The first time I have sweated. The other dish we typically get is chicken lo Mein. I consider this dish average. It is very tasty. I am not a noodle expert. The staff there is very very nice. We have not eaten many dishes. So this review is focused on a couple dishes. Overall the food seems to be prepared nicely and the staff is pleasant.

Our place to go on Sundays right after church. Great food and service — great value for lunch menu. Family run(prior to 2 March 2012 — see update below) Updated 2 March 2012 — The business was recently sold and is now under new management. Previous staff is still there and continue to provide the excellent service — however, some of the nice touches seem to have disappeared — no free cheese wantons — soup that came was in smaller bowl. Maybe a little early to make a judgement on how this will evolve — but there is not the unreserved recommendation at this point

Good food and service, and the lunch specials are a GREAT deal. Open 364 days a year, but no lunch specials on weekends. If you like Hunan levels of heat make sure to ask, though you will probably want some extra hotsauce if they don’t know you.
