My wife picked Magnolia Café & Market for her birthday lunch. I had never eaten there before, but she had been there a few times. When I saw on Unilocal that it was an organic /healthy café, I had my doubts. I love the idea of organic /healthy foods, but I feel like you have to sacrifice great tasting food for health. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. We sat outside on this cool November afternoon. The scenery at the corner of York and Park is nice. Great setting. In addition to the normal menu, there were several items on special. I saw that a reuben(one of my favorite kind of sandwiches) was available. It came with flax chips. The bread was from Noble Breads(another great local place). I love when local companies partner up. My wife ordered the shrimp mango salad. It looked like a piece of art(I’ve uploaded a picture). While a healthy /organic café will probably not be my first choice, the food was really good, the service was great, and the atmosphere was lovely.

Went back for another visit and got the Spaghetti Squash Marinara. I really enjoyed it. I’ve been wanting to try spaghetti squash. This was delightful. Squash sat on a bed of spinach and was covered with a turkey meatball and marinara sauce. The 5 Bean Chili was also very good.

I love that Magnolia’s Café stays true to their mission to serve healthy, nutritious food. I have read reviews on here with complaints about the restaurant not serving sweet tea, soda, fries, chips, etc. The chef offers healthy alternatives to these items that are delicious. I eat here several times a week because the quality of the food is outstanding. The servers are very friendly and welcoming. I have never had anything I didn’t like or wasn’t prepared up to par in the hundreds of times I have been here with my husband, friends, and family. Maybe if you are not occustomed to eating healthy on a normal basis, you may not appreciate what nutritious, delicious food tastes like. But if you are open to experiencing excellence for yourself, try Magnolias Café!

First time at Magnolia for lunch today. Friends have been raving, so I finally had to try it. My friend and I arrived well before noon(they open at 11:30); she ordered the Soup of the Day and«surprise» they were already out of it, really? One of the ladies at the next table said«I’ll take the veggie soup if you want the rice soup I ordered», and so the trade was done. I ordered the Chicken Breast Wrap — pretty safe choice, I thought. It arrived wrapped in parchment paper and cut in half with some flax chips chucked on the plate. Did you pick that up somewhere and forgot to unwrap it? Chicken was dry and tasteless, avocado and other stuffings were nice. $ 10.99 was pretty rich for that. I’m not sure if they ever heard that Aiken is in South Carolina and Ice Tea, sweetened or unsweetened, is part of our culture. I happen to like unsweetened tea. So why don’t you serve simple ice tea instead of trying to convince me I should order your Mango Ice Tea — no thank you! I’ve been here twice — the first time and THELASTTIME!!!

Prior review stemed from a misunderstanding which has since been cleared up. The food is healthy, varied and tasty. The service is friendly. If you don’t like the music, they have pledged to accommodate your preference. We will be back.

Love love love this place! First time diners from the big city of Atlanta completely understand why Magnolia has so many stars! The food was fabulous, the wait staff was so friendly, the owner and chef all came out to say hello. If you’re in Aiken don’t miss this one’

Food was really good! I went for lunch and had shrimp tacos — it was a special. There are a lot of options on their standard menu. There is an outside area and two dining areas inside. The space is an old house so it’s a little tight in terms of space. There were a few times when our conversation was overheard by the next table and they thought we were talking to them. There’s a small market space inside and you can get fresh items!

Terrible lunch. Quiche had no flavor other than too much salt. Salad mediocre, citrus dressing was very bland. It was our first time there and our last. There were 5 in our party and 4 out of the 5 were very unhappy about their food. I asked server for ice for my water but just gave us warm tap water. All of us had expected change when we paid our bill but none of us got any change. Server got a very very large tip from all of us. Price very expensive for what we got and the quality. We will never go back. Quiche was their broccoli quiche but mine had only one small piece of broccoli in it so basically it was just eggs in a crust, and way too much salt. I thought the food was supposed to be healthy.

Am I still in South Carolina? This place is great! Lots of healthy and organic options, interesting choices, and even a little fresh market if you want to grab some food to go. When we were eating there, we struck up a conversation with the people at the table next to us who have to be the former owners of the place. They may great recommendations and we were not disappointed! Try the asparagus. The Mediterranean salad was very good, and the iced tea(unsweetened) tasted phenomenal, especially with a little sugar in the raw. Their homemade chips are so good I bought some to take on the road. Quaint and charming atmosphere, very good for singles, couples or even families with children. I never thought I would say this, but get the gluten-free cookies! I’m not a huge fan of cookies and I don’t like gluten-free stuff normally, but this is worth it.

We loved this place! Service was extremely attentive. We had dinner there and apparently very few people know that Magnolia is open for dinner. Guys, you need to hurry up and go there! I was puzzled by how empty it was, because these people know how to cook! The flavored are so delicate and everything was cooked perfectly. Yes, the raspberry ginger lemonade held up to the hype — it was delicious. Chicken panino was very good, so were the eggplant casserole and portobello tacos. Alecia was ver nice and informed about every dish. It is so rare anymore to be at a restaurant where everyone cares about the food that is being served. Bravo, Magnolia Café!

My favorite place in Aiken! The quality of food is amazing, especially at the affordable price points they maintain. Vegan and veggie friendly– a place you can eat an amazing burger and still feel good about yourself ;)

Nice spot for the occasional lunch. Food is good but not exceptional, appears the chef is holding back trying to create dishes that please the masses, sad could be so much better with just a little attention to the seasoning and presentation. Service was adequate but all things considered could also use a little pep & polish. To the terminally hipster server, dude your hat has pills and seen better days, either wash it and run a sweater shaver over it or bury it,

Magnolia Café is such an adorable café, with amazing food and a wonderful vibe! Though I was only visiting Aiken for four days, I went to this café twice, and I know there were a couple people that pretty much came all four days because it was such a great experience. The first day, I got the Magnolia burger, which was absolutely amazing! It comes with a lot of meat, arugula, tomatoes and this absolutely delicious lemony ranch like sauce. It came with these chips that I can’t remember the name of – similar to Fritos, but healthier(?). Sometimes, they have live music, which made my day! It was a girl and guy guitar and bass duo. The second day, I ordered one of the specials, an heirloom tomato and ricotta cheese tart, which I had overheard was delicious. It is something you have to get. It comes with soup or salad, and of course, I chose soup – lentil soup, which was also amazing. I cleaned up my entire plate and wanted a lot more! Sit outside if it’s a sunny day. It feels so nice to drink ginger and raspberry infused lemonade in mason jars, while dining and watching the town. Allot enough time to sit down and unwind. It’s worth it! Also, make sure to visit the restroom. There’s a garden in the bathtub, a mirror with a sweet You are loved sign, and postcards of terriers that decorate the walls of the restroom.

Magnolia is my top pick for dining out in Aiken, hands down! The food is creative clean eating and mostly organic so I know I’m going to get a good meal that is good for me when I go. Personal favorites are the burgers(grass-fed local beef), chocolate avocado mousse, and anything with cowboy bacon.

Magnolia is a small health store that also serves delicious, healthy food. Other menu offerings were: sandwiches, salads, kishes, and daily specials. I enjoyed lunch in the yard. The soups were very tasty. I ordered the Magnolia Burger. It was delicious. Dessert was a cookie with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce and a cup of coffee. The coffee was stronger than I prefer, however I like a light blend, so judge for yourself. After eating I walked around the store. They sell everything from local honey, chicken and eggs to greeting cards. I appreciate their awareness of dietary needs(gluten free and vegan offerings) and their concern for the environment. I noticed that they use Myers cleaning products. It shows they care. This is a special place. I would come here often if I were a local!
