I was in Akron on a business trip and a coworker commented on how fantastic A Wok was. I ordered the Mongolian beef with scallions and pork fried rice. OMG, sooooo tasty! The entrée remained pipping hot though out my whole lunch experience! Tasty awesomeness at an affordable price for take out!

I eat clean and when I have a yen for Chinese food, I come to Awok. They will steam everything for me. I just love the fresh huge broccoli. They are very nice too.

This is not the place to eat IN if you like Chinese food. This is the place to take your food out and eat in the peace and quiet of your home. Call ahead and the food is ready within 10 minutes. BY the time you get home it will be fresher than that served in a restaurant. The food is tasty fresh and relatively inexpensive. If people complain about the yelling that goes on in Chinese as the cashier instructs the cooks that’s part of the color of this restaurant. if you’re interested in exotic cars talk to the owners son who is generally at the register. He has a great sense of humor. We especially like chicken with broccoli, Hunan chicken, chicken lo mein, sweet and sour shrimp and the excellent hot and sour soup which is the best in Akron.

I was really impressed. Good food, fresh, and served hot! The shrimp in my rice were very big which is not normal for regular Chinese spots. My first time ordering here and I will again in the future.

The food remains fine. The only real issue here is the fact that the counter where orders are placed/paid for/picked up opens up to the kitchen, and a lot of harsh-toned yelling takes place between the staff at the register and the kitchen help. Often the cashier doesn’t bother to turn towards the kitchen, they just ramp it up another couple decibels. If I wanted to hear shrew-like screaming there are a plethora of options available that don’t involve my handing cash to someone for the experience, so thanks but no thanks on that front. Just send your significant other in to pick up your carry-out and all will be good!

This was one of the dirtiest places I’ve ever been in. I was stunned that they haven’t been shut down by the health department. Akron should be ashamed!

They won’t be winning any Michelin stars, but they do cheap Chinese fast food the best in the area. I don’t really recommend it for a sit down dinner, but takeout is super fast and the food is really good for the price. Oh, and all those hygiene complaints… they give the place character haha. I’m doing just fine after eating their food several times.

Inexpensive, excellent Chinese food. I rarely give 5 stars, but this is the go-to place for Chinese in west Akron. If someone can find better food for the price, let me know. There’s great«fine dining» Chinese in west Akron to take your guests and loved ones. A Wok is the perfect place to call on the way home after a long day and pick up excellent Chinese food for family night. The service is super courteous and kind. A gem.

A Wok is a wonderful gem in Montrose. Fast, hot food with a good attitude is what you’ll get here.

My wife and I stopped in Saturday evening. I had my usual Shrimp & Brocoli and she had the Pork Mai Fun. We got the steamed dumplings this time instead of crab ragoons(got to switch it up every now and then but both are AWESOME). Prices are reasonable and the portions are quite large. The lunch specials are fantastic. Used to come 2 — 3 days a week when I worked right around the corner. Hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Akron/Canton area. Been coming here for the past 15 years and despite moving to North Canton in 2010 I still make the drive to A Wok if I’m in the mood for some good Chinese. Nothing down in the Belden area comes close.

Good food and nice people. Not a fancy place but perfect for take-out meals.

Food is cheap but very salty. But no other chinese food around the area to compete. The kitchen looks really messy too. My coworker told me a story where the cook’s sweat dripped into the hot and sour soup. No wonder its so salt. Not going there again.

This is a mainstay on the Chinese Express places itinerary. It’s all about the flavor and A-Wok are masters at what they do. Nothing bland on this menu. Hardly«standard» Chinese.

We discovered A Wok after our favorite Chinese restaurant closed last year. The prices are very reasonable and the food is very good. I have to admit that the Chicken Chow Mai Fun is the best I have ever had. I would not eat in the restaurant because of the size but for takeout its great.

I go to school not too far away from this place and I like to go there like every other weekend. I went there is past Saturday and ordered their peppered steak. It was good but was somewhat under seasoned. Their lunch combos come with soup instead of an egg roll. And for that reason I find them to have the BEST egg drop soup ever. I can eat that for breakfast, lunch and dinner its that good.
