Applebee’s

After a previously bad experience at this Applebee’s, my fiancé and I decided to give it one last shot, only because a district manager had sent me my money back for a previous bad meal. (He sent $ 30 worth of coupons basically.)
Tonight my fiancé ordered the ‘Cowboy Burger with fries’ and I ordered the ‘Hot Shot Whisky Chicken’. We also got the spinach-​artichoke dip and 2 orders of the brownie bites.
He really enjoyed his burger! Perfect amount of toppings, and was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My meal was everything I had hoped for! Juicy chicken, tasty gravy, creamy and flavorful mashed potatoes and it was very filling! The desserts were so rich and tasty and just the perfect, ‘bite’!
The only thing I’d have to complain about were the appetizer. For almost $ 8 for the dip and chips, they really don’t give you a whole lot of dip. My chips also must have come from the bottom of the chip bag cause there was maybe 6 total whole chips the rest crumbs.
I did order carside to go so no comments on staff really. This Applebee’s, I have learned, is good for the simple things, burgers, chicken, pasta, etc.
You will definitely be seeing us again Applebee’s! Thank you for a great dinner!

I just ate lunch here today while at a conference in Akron. The waitstaff was amazing, the food and ambiance was not so good.
My basic complaint with all Applebee’s Restaurants is the bright lighting and windows on 3 sides of the restaurant. If I wanted to eat in broad daylight I’d sit on the patio. There is NO privacy in these restaurants… the minute one enters the door he/​she can see everyone eating there.
Today I had the «new» double crunch wings for lunch. I’m not sure why they are new, but the double crunch must mean that they dipped them in the fryer twice. The wings were dried out and tasted as if they had been microwaved prior to being fried. I ordered the Hot Buffalo sauce but the wings were dry and there was some sort of spice concoction sprinkled on the wings (almost like a dry rub) — is this the double crunch??? I’ve had much better wings other places for less money.
I also ordered fries with no seasoning. These were delivered to me with salt all over them. Oh well…

We just had one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a while. We sat for a solid 10 minutes before our waitress even came to the table… another 20 minutes before she returned with our drinks-​a diet coke and a water-​which she then informed me was my fault because I asked for a lime wedge with my water and she had to «dig around for them». It was then another 20 minutes before our salads arrived… she explained exasperatedly that she had to make them herself because ‘they were too busy back there’. We finished our salads and a runner brought us… our salads! And then looked confused when she realized we already had them. She went away saying she’d be back with our dinners. Another 30 minutes later we got our food-​my ribs and fries were cold and my coleslaw was hot… waitress stopped back once to bring me some wetnaps… cuz you know I’m messy… and we never saw her again. Thank god you can pay at the table now other wise we may STILL be there waiting and waiting… all in all what should have been an hour tops took two and a half and the food wasn’t even mediocre. No manager in sight to talk to. Do Not Go Here. You will regret it wholely.

Went here last night and I was not impressed. The hostess and waitresses were very friendly. That was the best part of my dinner. My husband ordered the pretzel appetizer that comes with beer cheese and a side of mustard sauce. The pretzels were weird. They seemed deep fried and had sesame seeds on them. Aren’t soft pretzels supposed to have salt on them? No salt. The beer cheese tasted ok but was severely burnt on top and instead of making a new one, they mixed it in and served it to us. We each ordered from the pick two menu promotion. I got the steak with grilled onion and shrimp scampi linguine. The steak was a weird texture and was cold. The sauce on the steak was spicy and gross. It tasted like stomach acid. The grilled onion was not grilled, it was browned under a broiler and it made the onion squishy. I ate 2 bites of the steak and just couldn’t do it so I left it on the plate. It was over salted as well. The shrimp pasta was good so I ate that but only after I complained that there was no shrimp in my pasta so they brought me 5 shrimp separately on a plate. Also, there was no sauce on the pasta, just oil. Kinda weird. My husband got some kind of mexican chicken with rice and the bleu cheese wedge salad. The wedge salad was delicious! The chicken tasted like straight body odor/​sweat. We were not satisfied and our bill came to $ 40. I would much rather have spent that $ 40 anywhere else.

Applebee’s as a company… not so great if you believe in standing up for a womans right to use birth control (although it depends on which franchise you visit). And not so great if you go to the South Arlington location either.
I could be wrong, but I took my friends out to lunch on 03÷04÷14 and I’m pretty sure our waiter was either stoned out of his mind or is just naturally… foggy (?). I’ll refer to him as MH, he was nice but not very attentive. He never offered refills, condiments, or dessert to any of us. Who knows, maybe he was just having a bad day– it happens.
But the issue really wasn’t MH, it was the poor food quality. I love their pretzels & beer dip & have had it numerous times at other locations. However, this time the cheese/​beer sauce didn’t look very appealing. It was luke warm at best and had absolutely no flavor or hint of beer at all. I also ordered the cherry limeade; there was more crushed ice in my glass than the drink itself.
My friends didn’t seem that impressed with their meals either & left half of the sampler behind. And, not to be a cheap a** but $ 2.39 for one cup of Pepsi– seriously! You can buy a can for .75 cents, sometimes even cheaper. I’d be willing to go back to Applebee’s again but definitely not this specific location.

Wow what a nicest group of waiters and waitress! I only had a lunch on dash yet they were so accommodating.

Showed up for late night half price appetizers (the only reason I ever go here) with 8 people and we got in basically right away.
Our server was friendly and overall he was pretty good. I did have one complaint with him. He told us that the margaritas were half off. So my wife ordered a pomegranate margarita and he asked her if she wanted the perfect margarita. She said yes because she didn’t know what different kinds they had. Well, I guess that one wasn’t half off because when we got our check, it was $ 8 for the margarita. I wish he would have made it clear that it was only a certain kind of margaritas.
Food was okay. I got the honey bbq wings. The wings that had a lot of sauce were great, but about half of them were only covered with a minimal amount of sauce. One of the other guys in my group had the same problem. My wife got the wonton tacos and they were great.
Overall, this is an average Applebee’s. Then again, Applebee’s is just average anyways.

Food was good, had a veggie burger with portobello mushrooms. Service was good and everyone seemed to work together to take care of customers.

Had the French onion soup, just because you melt the cheese on top does not mean the soup is hot
Pasta alfredo with chicken, Luke warm with very little sauce
