This place is the best! They have a wonderful atmosphere, great coffee, and great food. I love splitting a French press with a friend and getting a chicken gnocchi soup with a scone on the side. I could sit here for hours doing work and relaxing. Highly recommend.

I live a few blocks away from Artisian Coffee, and hallelujah for that! The ambiance of the place is nothing short of feeling right at home. Soft chairs, sofa couches, good size area, private area, fireplace, children’s section with toys included, board games, card games for family, and friends. Workers are super friendly, and everyone is absolutely enjoying themselves! I take my son there a lot. He gets hot chocolate, dad gets coffee. Also, great soups, pastries, sandwiches etc. My son, and I like to play the game Jenga by the fireplace. It’s a must see, and enjoy place. Happy to have them… so close! Thanks guys!

This is a great little place. What I especially love is that they roast their own beans and they roast them well. It might be my favorite local place to buy coffee. The atmosphere is very cozy as well and would be appropriate for a get-together with a friend or even for studying/reading. The staff is super friendly too.

I really love the Artisan! Coffee is delicious, and the décor is lovely. You can tell the owners/investors have put their heart and soul into it. From one small business owner to another, I highly value customer service and am noticing a lack of it in the past few visits. My last three visits I left feeling like I was in the way and bothering them. I really want you to succeed! Your customers want to know they are valued. You have an excellent product and your vision for a successful business is very evident. Just remember your customers are your bread and butter. I am offering to work for you on Sunday’s so your staff could still have a well earned day off.

Food average for coffee shop. My milk was scalded, not steamed. Place full of noisy teenagers. They have a kids play area where there were little ones screaming. Has a very trendy feel. Maybe it will mellow a bit after surviving being a fad. Good note was that it was clean.

Wooo, look at me. I’m writing a review on artisan coffee. How vague is that? Can I write a review on pizza too? Actually I’m writing a review on Artisan Coffee, not artisan coffee. There’s a big difference there. artisan coffee is coffee that is grown, harvested, processed, roasted and brewed by hand and with intense care and attention taken toward extracting all possible qualities from the beans. Artisan Coffee is a coffee shop that roasts and brews artisan coffee. They have a small Diedrich roaster sitting on the concrete countertop where all the roasting happens. Before that, I was informed, the owner and founder of Artisan roasted outside, in negative temperatures, on something like a popcorn popper. Now if Artisan was in a Large city, I would deem it three-star-worthy. If it was in the middle of nowhere, five stars would be its reward. But given the situation, I’ll round up to four. It’s a pleasant place with a nice mix of design and decent coffee, but there’s room for improvements in about all areas. Espresso drinks are not consistently top notch and they seriously need a revamp of their pour-over setup. Here’s how that happens: inconspicuously, Twenty-Four ounces of coffee is brewed via Chemex in a quiet corner of the bar area, and after some time, you are handed two steaming cups of coffee. This can be a somewhat Awkward Experience. That meant my friend and I had Forty-Eight ounces of mostly unslurped-upon brew riding around in the car. Odd. At least it’s a better dollar per quantity ratio and it even tasted fairly nice, but there’s none of the quick, single-cup pour-over way that I’ve grown so fond of. Still, it’s the best coffee to be had in Akron.(Although I think they better watch out for the soon to be in existence Akron Coffee Roasters café.)

I find myself again and again making a 20 minute drive to the south side for Artisan coffee and culture.

I’ve never had a reason nor a desire to stay in Ellet any longer than absolutely necessary… until Artisan. Now I find myself inventing reasons to make the 20 minute drive. Artisan is a gem; the interior is a perfect combination of cozy and spacious, and the coffee is top-notch. Even the food, which I tend to ignore at coffee shops, is incredible. Every baked good I’ve ordered has been the epitome of fresh, and their sandwiches have made this non-sandwich girl a sandwich girl. The owners have put in an incredible amount of work to this place, and it shows through every little detail.

For customers: Great little place in an otherwise lackluster neighborhood. Good stop if you are looking for a quick chat over a nice coffee. No surprises that it is almost always overflowing with people. Coffee selection is not overwhelming and baristas are super friendly. Place also tends to attract classy coffee lovers in the area. For management: — More single seat accommodations, rather than table for 2. This isn’t a restaurant, many folks come alone to work or read, but occupy the whole table. As a result cuts the seating capacity in half. Get small circular tables, rather than big square ones. Takes far less space and easier to organize seats around. — Get some big plants and tall furniture in the main seating area so that people can sit closer to each other without getting uncomfortable. — Have more coffee mugs, not just to-go cups.

Clean and bright, they have their own hand painted pottery mugs. A very cool, not at all pretentious vibe. The roast their own beans, and everything is available for pour over(Chemex). Took a little longer than is usual so the coffee was not hot. I didn’t dig the Ethiopian light roast I had(bit of an unpleasant burnt aftertaste) that’s just me though I’m sure, that’s not to take away from the coffee shop — great place, worth a visit.

Honestly, thank God for an amazing coffee in the Akron area. A fantastic cup coffee or cappuccino awaits any one who comes here and if you love coffee you should come here.

This place is AWESOME! I have been loving local, small business coffee shops and Artisan Coffee is a gem! The décor is so comfy and cozy. It’s a rustic, home-y, relaxing kind of vibe. I went in on a Saturday morning, hoping I could get a seat to sit down and do some work; however, it got pretty busy and there were quite a lot of customers already enjoying their coffee. I didn’t mind though because although it was busy, it wasn’t loud or distracting and I knew I had walked into everyone’s new favorite coffee spot! I decided not to stay, but the staff were so sweet and cheerful! The lavender latte that I got was amazing! I’m hoping I can stay inside the next time I go, but regardless, you can tell you’re gonna like it as soon as you step in!

Stopped in here for the first time on Saturday morning for a beverage to go. This was my first ever visit and I was very impressed by the décor inside. It’s very cozy and everything is clean and organized. The staff were very friendly and gave a minute to look at the menu board. They have many of your average coffee shop drinks. I didn’t see food on the menu but I wasn’t looking for it either. I noticed they had some brownies in a display case on the counter so there’s stuff to eat but I’m not sure what all they have yet. I’ll have to go back and find out. Because it was the big game between Ohio State and _ichigan, they were featuring a special drink called the buckeye mocha or something like that so I ordered it in size large for $ 4.75. I let it cool a while before drinking it and when I tasted it, I was pleasantly surprised. I cannot tell you how happy I am that it wasn’t just a coffee flavored sugar bomb like you’d expect from Starbucks. This had real roasted peanut flavor, a hint of chocolate, and a smoothness you would expect from artisan style coffee. I really enjoyed my drink and it is the main reason I will be back to Artisan Coffee. I’m really hoping this place sticks around for a long time. Like almost everyone in the Ellet area, I’m tired of seeing places pop into this building for a year or less and then go out of business.

Fabulous coffee shop that I wish was closer to home! I ordered an apple pie latte on the barista’s recommendation and it was unique without being too sweet or odd. Pastries are made in house. Décor is simple but gorgeous. Definitely give it a try. I’m going back again soon!

The interior is well done. They thought through the details and created something cool. From the paper roll sandwich menu to the repurposed bar stools to the white subway tile back splash wall. It’s clean, feels stylish, hip without being twee. I ordered a lavender latte drink and it had a natural, not excessively syrupy in flavor. They roast their own beans on premises so next time I’m going with a simple coffee, espresso, or something along those lines. I was there during off hours and it was busy.

This place honestly deserves more than five stars. They roast their own beans TOPERFECTION. I’m not a coffee snob, but I immediately noticed a difference when I ground their beans at home and made a cup of coffee in my french press. The aroma was far superior to anything else I’ve ever bought, and the«bloom» or crema was far more than any other beans I’ve used. I’ve had their Cobb Salad, and it was amazing. I’ve heard they make their own coffee syrups, too. When I’m not buying beans, I usually stop by to get a breve latte. The people who make the coffee are really knowledgeable and passionate about coffee. They have a meeting room, if you want to bring the team or a meeting. If you want to savor some good coffee and enjoy a really fresh salad, stop in at Artisan Coffee.

This is a really nice coffee house. The décor is very nice, modern but rustic and very comfortable. A laid back atmosphere. A nice place to relax with a coffee and a book. Or grab a sandwich with friends. They roast the coffee in house and you can watch the roaster from the bar. I had a breve latte. It was perfect. And you could tell the espresso was very fresh. I will be back.

This place is truly artisan. They roast their own beans in house! All of the syrups that go into the drinks are hand made and even all of the pastries are made in house. Every drink I have had is delicious. They don’t have that overly sweet fake taste that is so predominate at other coffee shops. It’s the freshest tasting espresso drinks around. And so much better than the beloved chain coffee house that even I love. They even have a kid menu. You feel like you are getting something unique and special at Artisan. The décor of this shop is so cozy and cute! They have nice comfy chairs by the fireplace and plenty of seating at tables if that’s more your jam. It’s the kind of place that you want to stay awhile and enjoy a cup of coffee with friends. The owners Tim and Emily are the nicest people and truly seem overjoyed to be serving their coffee and food to people. Ellet has needed a place like this and it truly delivers. Give it a chance and it will quickly become your favorite!

M. The atmosphere is rustic but the fare is modern. Chill and relax is the theme that offsets a fresh roasted bean. Ellet now has a point of destination for fresh brew. I also tried their pastries and they were muito bem. D. Ignorant me, I don’t know what muito bem is, but I think M means it’s good. The coffee is handled very well here. They roast their own and its better bean than Starbucks, that’s for sure. Good coffee, comfortable surroundings, with plenty of room for get-togethers.
