Been here a number of times and they always seem to be on top of their game. On our last visit, I got liver and onions with home fries,(the mashed are of the boxed variety), The veggie was green beans, and it came with a side salad and rolls, phew thatsaladdafood! My wife was suffering some digestive issues and got a cold turkey sandwich which came with chips, which she just left on the plate. the sandwich was fine, but not the bone-carved breast the waitress had suggested, but rather luncheon meat. The salad was nice enough, I pushed my roll accross the table so my wife had something to gnosh on while awaiting her entrée. It seemed to meet with her approval. Here’s the swesome news, I asked the waitress if she would request that my beef liver be SMOTHERED in onions, and I would happily pay any necessary surcharge. She heard, made the request and chef complied! Just being heard by both parties is a minor miracle. Not only was it smothered, but it was tender and excellent, a tricky feat with liver which transitions from perfectly done to shoeleather in a nano-second! My other sides were quite good as well. When we’re in «the hood» of this spot and the stomach growls it’s our go-to spot!

Great service. Food served promptly. Assortment on menu and specials are very nice. Friendly staff. Lots of regulars but not awkward to walk in to. Had breakfast there on Sunday. Beat the rush and enjoyed my experience there.

Stopped in on a whim for a Sunday morning breakfast. The omelet was delicious, the home fries a little too well done, but overall a great value. My husband had the homemade hash special and it was also very good. Service was fast and friendly. We will be back.

I have to say, my initial reaction when I walked in the door was to walk back out before anyone noticed me. This is because of my own personal bias against places that I feel don’t try very hard to provide an inviting atmosphere. Some people don’t care about that and just want a good meal. I think those are the type that probably are«regulars» here. First impression was cold, impersonal, and just… we do the bare minimum to make some money. In relation to the décor, it gave the impression to me that«We sort of care, but we don’t really know what we’re doing in that arena so we give up». Maybe they should take a whack at one of the designing shows and get a remodel. I HATE the blaring yellow walls. But they did have some cute décor up, although it didn’t look well arranged. It definitely has that«cheap diner» feel with cheap cafeteria style chairs and cheap vinyl table covers. I almost didn’t want to use the ketchup bottle because it looked, um, well worn… so I’m guessing its been refilled many many times. I don’t know, I just wonder about the germ factor. Not to say the place looked dirty. It was kept up well enough. I’m a nurse and I imagine germs in all the cracks of everything. LOL. That being said, this area doesn’t have a lot of good sit-down restaurants that aren’t attached to a bar or have a dozen televisions throwing sports games in your face. I wanted to try somewhere I haven’t been before. So I stayed. Average selection. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, well-done. They let you put as much of whatever toppings they have on it. I had BBQ sauce, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato. Came with what looked to be home-made chips(very good). My burger still had some pink but wasn’t cold and I normally would order medium-well, but seems like a lot of places don’t know the difference so that’s why I ordered it well-done…to avoid it being nearly raw, so no big deal to me. The patty did seem like something momma would have hand-made. I liked the burger a lot, to my surprise. I truly expected to dislike the food. My main complaint is that it had an onion-y taste. Perhaps they grilled it next to something with onions in it. I do not like onions, so that took off a point for sure. Also, I had cut it in half prior to eating for better handling and by the time I got to side B, the bun was getting soggy. I generally gag on wet bread, but it wasn’t too bad and I ate most of it. I also, admittedly, am a freeze baby. But it’s late January in Ohio and under 30 degrees outside. My nose and fingers were just below ice cubes in there. Knowing that I’m cold all the time, I initially didn’t register fault with that. But then I realized that my table was once removed from a working ceiling fan and upon closer inspection realized everyone else in there were wearing their winter coats(and one had her knit cap still on). Just before I left, I felt the heat kick on, but being cold is on the top of my list of reasons to avoid a place. As for staff and customers… the waitress was fairly nice, checked on me, refilled my drink as you would expect. She seemed to know several of the guests by name, so obviously the place has garnered regulars – mostly of the working class, middle-aged to elderly sort who you would imagine want value over glitter. This meal and a soda cost nearly $ 10. I suppose that’s getting to be industry average, but considering the atmosphere and not being«blow my socks off» good… I think I can do better elsewhere. I wouldn’t refuse to go there again, but my search for decent neighborhood haunts continues…

M. 7a.m. really post your hours it helps. M– second trip breakfast was good but not great like most places they are afraid of seasoning. The thought is let the customer decide salt, pepper, or hot sauce. Unfortunately the food requires seasoning at the time of preparation. Nothing says home cooking like lack of flavor. The foundation of a good meal is elevated by considerate preparation. A little salt goes a long way to bring flavor out of food. For you with a bland pallet stay at home and do your home cooking. For us who are willing to pay for meals give us some flavor.

This is my favorite breakfast spot. I come here a lot because it’s so close to my house. The food is very good and the prices are very reasonable. $ 10 can get you a meal you can’t even finish. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area!

I would give only 3 stars BUT the staff were extremely friendly so 4 it is! I hadn’t been here until today though I’ve heard lots of good things from coworkers who love this little diner. When you walk in, you’ll notice that it’s not a large place. There is a giant chalkboard on the wall with the specials. The prices seem right especially for the large quantity of food they give you. I ordered the BLT with potato chips and a diet Pepsi. The BLT is pretty large and tastes exactly as I would expect. My coworkers had the fish sandwich special for lent and holy cannoli was it huge! There must have been 5 perch filets on this thing! It came with coleslaw and french fries. They had to take some filets off their sandwiches in order to eat it because it was way too large to fit in their mouths. Neither of them were able to finish their meals. Overall, good experience and I’m sure we will be back. I’d like to go back and try their breakfast foods. Those blueberry pancakes are calling my name! :)

My wife and I have been there twice. Both times the food was excellent. The first visit she had shrimp & fries & I had chicken parm. BESTFRIESEVER!!! Second time we shared a roast beef sandwich & fries. The prices are very reasonable and the waitresses a friendly. They made me a fresh pot of coffee and kept my cup filled. The place is kind of hard to find but worth the effort. You can tell they care about the quality of product and serve generous portions.

Went here on a whim while in the area. My experience was interesting. It was mostly blue-collar families here. You can tell they were regulars and enjoyed the food and service. Actually, the whole time we were here(around 10:00 am on a Saturday), the place was pretty full! There are 4TV’s for your entertainment. The menu itself was pretty full and had a lot to offer. Our server was so attentive and nice. She filled our drinks like no ones business! We didn’t like our breakfast potatoes, they tasted like they were rancid or something. She felt so bad that she took 10% off of our bill. I told her she didn’t have to do that! We were full because the portions were so huge! Our server told us to come back for pigs in a blanket or the Friday night all-you-can-eat fish. I love when servers sell their products. I gave her a very generous tip for her kindness and enthusiasm.

I been getting lunch there once or twice a week because it is close to my office. They have delicious freshly-prepared food, including all you can eat fish Wednesday and Friday. I have also enjoyed the Chicken Parmesan, city chicken and roast beef sandwiches. Great friendly service. The only negative is that they have country music playing, but the food is really good, and the prices are very good. Comparable to Lukity’s.

Cute small diner next to Harbor Freight Tools offers a classic daily special menu including the iconic Friday all you can eat Fish and Chips. We have been there a couple of times now and the dinner service is rather frantic. The food has been a little too salty and a bit too greasy to call great… but it’s a nice place to stop when you need specialty items next door.
