Wonderful cozy sports bar in North Akron, staff is always friendly and attentive. Great food specials and great drink prices. The game day fries are amazing, also some of the best wings in Akron. You just can’t go wrong with a bar like this.

Dantes is the perfect neighborhood bar to catch sporting event. The staff is always in a great mood and more than willing to go the extra mile. This place isn’t a typical bar because it’s family friendly. Everything I have ever had on the menu is amazing. My favorites are the Buffalo chicken wrap, gameday mild/​or hot wings, and the WORLD FAMOUS gameday fries!

This place has went downhill fast! The beer is warm, under carbonated and insanely expensive. Especially for the area and the dive bar ambience. Even worse, the food is no longer what it was. The fat white cook is terrible! He either burns or undercooks everything. The owner doesn’t care either nor have much of a hand in the business anymore. And it shows. Spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere in North Hill or go down the street and experience better value.

Unfortunately, I expected more based off of the reviews and what we have heard about this place. The NCAA games were on so he definitely wanted a place with tv’s and they didn’t disappoint when it came to that. This is your typical bar and typical bar food. Nothing special but I will still break it down and tell you what I liked and didn’t.
I got the game day tenders and a side salad, I asked the waiter (who was also the bar tender and what we believed to be the only person working there even tho the bar was full) what the best sauce was and he said a mix of what they call ‘game day’ sauce and hot. The mix was pretty good actually, pretty spicy but almost creamy. The tenders were above average too bc it wasn’t heavy breaded. The salad for a bar wasn’t bad, fresh with a good amount of cheese on it but nothing noteworthy. My husband got the wing, which they are know for, and he tried 3 flavors. Hot, hot honey mustard and game day. The flavors were pretty good, but my mix was better. The hot honey mustard was my least favorite, and there is nothing hot about it. The hot wings actually had some heat which was nice bc we both like spice.
As I said before we are pretty sure there was one guy running all the tables as the bar and my father in law even saw him running a fryer in the back so the service was subpar for sure but I guess it could have been worse since he was the only one there. I had a hard time rating this place a 3 but based on the food I didn’t think it deserved less than that. Maybe I expected more. Oh and thank you Unilocal bc if you spend $ 20 or more you get 10% off when you check in.

This is a great neighborhood bar. Very friendly. Great bar food and awesome daily specials. Don’t come on a diet though.
Lots of TVs on the walls. Mostly sports, but depending on the crowd…
Lots of regulars and you never know, if you’re from North Hill, probably run in to an old friend.

A friend dragged me out to this place one night for the Ohio State-​Michigan lost, which ended in tragedy when Ohio State lost by 5.
This is an above-​average sports bar in a location most people wouldn’t expect a good bar to be located in. It is in North Hill, but not the part of North Hill where you’ll die if you’re out at night — it’s in the part of North Hill that is average in every way. There are televisions everywhere, and all but one were turned onto ESPN. Towards the end, I got tired of hearing about Linsanity, so I was kinda curious why one of the TVs weren’t playing BTN or FSN Ohio.
The beer selection was not really noteworthy. Black & Tan was on tap, so I can’t really complain. The bartender was good. I don’t know if he was the best I’ve ever had, but he was still up there.
The most pleasant surprise in this place was the food. Oh God, the food. I ordered some boneless wings at the urging of my friend. The boneless wings tasted and looked like they were made from scratch. I was getting tired of the generic frozen boneless wing meat, so these wings really made me happy. They were large and tasted meaty. It needed a little more breading, but other than that it was good. The sauces could also be improved. It would help business if they created a sauce here like Quaker Steak & Lube’s Triple Atomic Sauce and had some sort of insane food challenge involving those wings, just an opinion.
I wasn’t expecting much coming in, but I left happy.

Absolutely the best hot wings around! Everything I have ever eaten there I have thoroughly enjoyed, and the bar staff is always friendly and efficient. My go-​to when I want to go have a drink, and maybe a snack after work. I love Dante’s,
