My husband and I went there to do a Paint Nite event. We got there an hour early to grab some food and have a drink beforehand. He got some burger that he thought was pretty delicious and I got the reuben. The reuben slices were pretty thick so I wasn’t a fan. I ended up ordering a spinach artichoke dip instead and while I couldn’t put my finger on it, something tasted different than it typically tastes when I get it at restaurants. The food wasn’t very appetizing from my point of view. It’s a big space and I was one of two women other than the bartenders at 5:30pm on a Wednesday. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. Unless we go to another Paint Nite there, I doubt we’ll be back.

I’ve been going to this place since it was Johnny Malloy’s. I like it better as J Dublins, I gotta say! The food and service are better. The beer sometimes seems flat though. I’m not sure what’s going on there. I had a Blue Moon recently and it tasted bitter and flat. Along with that beer, I had the mac & cheese burger. It comes with bacon, lettuce, tomato and a sauce on the side. I’m not sure what was in this sauce, I asked the waitress but didn’t know and didn’t offer to go and find out. Might be good to know in case someone is asking because of allergies. I couldn’t decide if I liked the sauce so I just dipped my fries in it. The burger was great! The bacon was not cooked long enough though. It would have been perfect if it was brown and crispy. The overall ambiance of the place is definitely sports bar, loud, music, pool tables, etc. They have projectors everywhere with different games on. The bar is situated in the middle of the restaurant with tons of seating. There’s also a patio with some tables. Mostly all smokers out there.

Went there again and had the Dublin burger. Which is a a burger with a Reuben on it and was I impressed. So delicious. I don’t know what happened to everyone else that is rating it with 2 – 3 stars but I love this place.

I still like this place for watching games, and they have good food, but there’s a problem with the beer. It tasted«off» for me and also for my wife, who ordered the same beer that she orders everywhere. Both beers were suffering from what must be tap lines that haven’t been cleaned. I wrote to the manager about it but got no response. The other problem with the taps, which actually offer a pretty good selection, is that there’s no reliable list, so you just don’t know what they have. We asked two bartenders and they didn’t know or care, so we checked the taps out ourselves. It’s kind of hard to tell sometimes though by looking at the tap handle, so they really need a helpful list, or bartender, to let us know.

OK — there’s the«Dublin» name, and they have cases of Irish Whisky on the walls as a decoration — but does that make this an Irish Bar? Ehhh… not really. Especially after I ordered a Guinness and the barmaid served it to me in a MUG. And she didn’t even let the foam relax… obviously was not trained in doing a «proper pour.» They had pint glasses, so I don’t know what was going on… and I was too bored to bother sending it back. Otherwise, the staff was attentive and knew how to smile. The place was reasonably clean. The place isn’t that different from whatever it was before. Cavernous… like a «beer warehouse.» Not particularly impressed with the on-tap beer selection, either. Didn’t try the food; I see they have daily specials, but I don’t drink cheap domestic beer, do shots(unless I want to be arrested) and the food specials seemed rather ordinary. Now, it’s hard to fully judge a place unless you stop in at different times. My visits here have always been between 5−7pm, so you can’t expect so see much going on. I see they have a DJ on weekend evenings(?) and it may be more exciting then. That said, I can’t see a lot to recommend here. Screams«Generic Irish Pub» — but it’s too big to be a «pub» and as a result, it doesn’t offer that much Irish character. Maybe not a bad concept, but kind of half-assed in the execution. Not really sure what they can hang their hat on here. Plenty of big screen projection TVs, but many people would prefer to watch a 50″ HDTV from a few feet away at a smaller venue. Kind of has the feel of a chain, but even some chains have more character. Hopefully they will figure it out. This part of town has lots of bars, but not a whole lot of good ones. For now, I’ll grade this based on an «Incomplete» — maybe check it out on a weekend night and see if it has more to recommend it.

I came here with friends on a Saturday. The place looks decent with big screens and plenty of games, but the service i received was not that great. I ordered«the jdub» a sausage sandwich with onions, fries and a coke on the side. Normally i get beer, particular one that is rare or one that i haven’t tried. But their beer list wasn’t that exciting. Sausage sandwich sounds more German then Irish but whatever i wanted sausage that day. The waitress however accidentally put my order in for a cheeseburger. She came to be about 20 minutes later and was sorry and said she would fix my order. «Ok fine…» i wasn’t mad, just a little disappointed that i may have to wait a little longer. My food arrived as did my friends, my friends who all got burgers, fries and drinks. Their price was a little over 8 dollars. My price? I paid around ten bucks for ONLY a sandwich. They didn’t bring any fries and the only thing to company my measly sandwich was some pickles. So basically i got ripped off at Jdublins. I am sure they may have been able to fix this problem, but i was so hungry at that point that i didn’t really say anything. Nor did i want to wait for fries The sandwich wasn’t that great, the onions didn’t have much of a taste and the sausage itself tasted rubbery and not fully cooked. I would not recommend this place. If you go anyways don’t get the jdub
