I do it to myself time and time again… I say no I won’t go to THAT McDonalds because they always F-up my order, or are always out of what I want. But then I think, well I’ll give it one more chance, it’s the closest one down the street, why not?! And then reality slaps me in the face as I’m told«our milkshake machines are down» or «we’re out of nuggets» or «please pull over» as I wait 10 minutes for a small order that shouldn’t have taken more than 2 minutes to produce(yes thank you for handing me this McFlurry I’ve been waiting on, I just love when my ice cream is the consistency of soup). They never give me the right order either — heaven forbid they include everything you asked for! Also the employees are not the friendliest either. Save yourself and just go to another McD’s that might actually get your order right.

Dear Mr. Locke(Owner /Operator) Due to time constraints I chose to visit your establishment for a quick drive through lunch at approximately 12:30PM today and made it easy and ordered a #1 value meal. Since I didn’t walk in I can’t comment on the cleanliness of the restaurant so my review will center around customer service, you have staffed the drive through with the wrong employees taking into consideration the stress associated with talking orders and punching this into a register with pictures instead of actual numbers I fail to understand how I can be greeted with a smirk verses a smile. Once I presented my payment to a blank staring non motivated teen who had trouble making change from a bill a few dollars larger than the total cost of my order from a LED register readout that calculated the amount that was suppose to be returned to me I had to accept my order from a teen with an attitude because I simply requested a receipt. After asking me twice what I ordered since she forgot my order 5 seconds after shoving it in my face she finally was able to produce my receipt but only after giving me a pissed off look and voiced her displeasure of having to do her job to her peers before I cleared the window. I promise I won’t trouble your over worked employees again. The two stars represent the order was correct and hot don’t know how that happened.

This place scares me. No, it’s not in a bad neighborhood or extremely dangerous like walking across the future Chuck Norris Bridge in Slovakia(you know, nobody crosses Chuck Norris and lives). It’s scary because they’re trying to move out of the fast food niche they’ve always been in and into more of a café that is on par with Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts. In the words of Lee Corso, «Not so fast, my friend.» McDonald’s is at the bottom of the hierarchy of fast food quality, with In-N-Out Burger being at the top. I will comment that McDonald’s is improving, but it is still miles behind Wendy’s and is catching up to BK. As a café, it has an awkward feel to it. Most cafes feel laid back, like somewhere where you can write a paper for class or read. Here, it just feels fast-paced and rushed. Also, the quality of their coffees is overrated, although it’s still better than Maxwell House. Then there are the workers here. Oh joy. The workers have no idea what they’re doing. I get they’re trying to be fast, but there is almost always an error in my orders here. Combined with an attitude from the higher-ups that would pay below minimum wage if it were legal, and you have yourself a high turnover rate. Long story short, I’m taking my talents to Wendy’s or Dunkin’ Donuts once it graces Coventry with its presence by opening.
