The atmosphere makes you feel as if you’re sitting in someone’s living room. The eclectic display of beer is so fun! We got the Italian sub and some sort of burger. Both solid choices. The perogies were the hit, covered with caramelized onions and sour cream. The wait staff was quick and friendly. A great place to spend QT with friends. Great selection of bottled beer– pick your own! Will be back

Go on a Friday or Saturday and get the clam chowder. Seriously. My one year old even ate some. It is that good. I went with the classic Reuben and it did not dissapoint. Pretty much every sandwich is amazing. Except for the tongue one. I have never had it. And I will never try it. Blah! They have a great beer selection. And there is a basket of tasty chips to start your meal with. This place is well worth checking out.

I wasted 1 hour waiting for lunch today. Left without getting it. Customer that came in 2 tables after I got there got their food before mine when I asked the manager /owner not sure said it will still be several minutes. We decided to leave, sorry work schedule. His answer to us was I can’t do anything when it’s busy. Thanks for the courtesy, I say with a sarcastic voice. I’d that’s customer service, wow is all I can say. I feel him saying that was worse then not getting food.

I have been going to Primo’s Deli since before I was born(literally). It’s always my family’s go to place for any sort of get together and we all love it. I always order the Italian Sub with hot mix on the side. Typically I can only eat half of it because of how big they are and because I usually fill up on their chip dip before hand. Seriously they should sell that stuff by the bottle because it’s delicious. The staff is always so friendly and recognizes us as soon as we come in. All around a great place to visit whether on a Friday night or a quick bite for lunch!

I love a good sandwich and Primo’s is definitely better than good. Seems to be one of those neighborhood hole-in-the-wall places you would never know about unless you were a local, yet always seems to have a steady crowd. The first few times I went there, I somehow managed to miss it and had to turn around – I don’t know how, it’s got a bit of a wild décor and doesn’t seem to belong in the neighborhood, which is a bit on the run-down side. As mentioned by another Unilocaler, the inside décor is «a little bit of everything». They have several coolers full of just about every beer you can think of and they don’t mind recommending something to you. Crinkle-cut chips are never-ending and while I normally would skip a ranch dressing, I always ask for some for my chips and can’t stop eating them. The soda comes in cans and there actually is a small«deli» where you can get deli-type items or desserts. A huge menu with some items on the stranger side(tongue, for instance), but I most often get the Reuben or the Italian sandwich – always huge. I always say I’m only going to eat half and save the rest but I just can’t do it. I eat it all. Everyone I have brought here loves it – even my step-sister, who finds something to complain about everywhere we go. My only 2 complaints would be that it seems like I always want to go when they are closed. At 7:45pm Saturday night I wanted to go with my boyfriend and realized they closed at 8. Bummer. I believe they are also closed on Mondays? I guess I’m just a spoiled American. Ha. Hurray for them for not caving, though. The other complaint would be that its easy to spend a lot more money than you wanted to going out to get a sandwich. That would partially be because I once ordered an $ 11 beer without realizing it would be that expensive. It was good, large, and I definitely felt it by the bottom of the bottle but would not have gotten it if I knew it was that much.

Loved the Greek salad. This salad had 10 of the best olives I ever ate in my life. A good salad w high quality ingredients. If I go back to Akron, I will eat at Primo’s again.

Primo’s Deli is superb! I used to live in Ohio and recall fond memories of frequenting Primo’s Deli with my family. The location is nice and the décor in the deli is your traditional«you never know what you’ll see hanging on the walls». There is a lot of seating and you may be cramped slightly, based on how close the tables are. The menu includes something for just about everyone. I ordered the Grand Slam and it was fantastic! I have no complaints. I was able to share the sandwiches also ordered at my table and they were phenomenal! They have a wide range of beers(locally and international), so you’ll never get bored with the same booze. They serve potato chips for you at the table and will refill them to your heart’s content. Beware: They’re addicting. Primo’s is the hot set-up if you’re in the area.

So, when you are told on a weekday that it’s a 25-minute wait for a take-out spicy Italian, it’s a sign that this place is popular, and in this case, there’s a reason. The guy taking my order was awesome and offered a full description and how he could give it an extra kick with their housemade habanero giardinara-ish side … definitely ask for it! Yum! 20 minutes laer, I took my Spicy Italian to my car, and bit into it, and I understood. So, it’s not enormous, but the bread is toasty and soft, the meats are top quality, and the flavors are fantastic. There are other subs that may be more impressive in photos, but this was a deeply satisfying, quality sandwich! I would order ahead, but I would definitely be back!!!

I’ve been here several times and the food is always fresh and delicious. I’ve had the BLT, beef tongue, patty melt, turkey club, and burger. All were excellent! The beer selection is great too. They give you a basket of crinkle cut chips when you sit down and it’s hard to stop eating them. The dining room is small so get there early during lunch time.

Came here looking for a new lunch spot that’s local and different. And I definitely succeeded when I came here. First thing I noticed upon entering was the«guns are permitted» sign, which did worry me a little. Once I entered, I realized that I would be safe here because the crowd here is diverse… old, middle-aged, young, families, individuals, businessmen, and retired. The place is decorated with all sorts of coasters and sons of various beers. Mainly because this place sells and serves all sorts of beer along with deli meats and cheeses at the counter. Prices were for food was fair. They have so many options that it takes a little bit of time to figure out what to get. The staff is nice and attentive. If you’re low on chips or water, they’ll come by and happily refill. I got the chicken noodle soup which was tasty and had shell noodles… I should’ve gotten the bowl instead of the cup. Following that I got the spicy Italian sub. It was perfect… hot but not crispy; the cheese was perfectly melted to the salami and capicola. Surprised, which just those two items in my stomach, I was already full. Maybe next time I’ll start with the desserts, which looked good.

The Hot Spicy Italian all the way is my go to sub with a can coca-cola and a glass of ice. These are very special owners they have runners that walk around with bags of fresh chips with small cups of ranch dressing and they fill your basket if you need more these runners are very special challenged people that have been given a chance to earn a living and they are so awesome. We could only wish there were more businesses that recognize the needs of the community. My hats off to these caring owners you will always be successful. I come here for lunch when in the area the food here is second to none the bread is just simply the best toasted then loaded full of the freshest ingredients. If you do come at lunch time you may want to call ahead and reserve a table you can drop in but you might find yourself with a short wait this is a very popular lunch stop and can get crowded but worth it. It may take a little effort to find this old time deli as many times as I’ve been here I still get confused and usually just punch it in the GPS to save time. This part of Akron is feeling the the negative economic impact of the times there are so many closed businesses it’s really sad but this is one place that made it and will continue to make it the service is the best, the food is incredible it’s a must try if you like great nostalgia sub.

Was here today with the family. I had a veggie burger. It was excellent. We had a party of 6 and we were accommodated without issue. We had our two grandchildren with us, and they really enyed their PP&J sandwiches. The restaurant was clean and the restrooms were clean. The food was delivered quickly and all our orders were correct. We will definite;ly be back the next time we’re in town.

Spicy Italian with their special hot mustard is one of the most incredible culinary delights to be found in Akron. The place has a great vintage feel that focuses on classic rock and beer. They always have good music playing and many concert posters, with a Jerry Garcia autograph behind the counter. People(staff) do not take themselves too seriously there, and seem to have fun with their jobs. One thing that cracked me up was a sign near the cash register that was advertising«free cute kittens». A few weeks later, cute had been crossed off the sign, leaving just«free kittens». A few weeks after that, the sign had been changed again to read, «free old cats». Random? Perhaps. But still a great place.

The family and I were looking for a good sandwich place while driving through Ohio. I chose this one partly because of all the Shiner references. I’m a native Houstonian and that tickled me. This was the only restaurant we ate at the whole week on vacation where I sounded like I was making love to my food. Every bite of my meatball sandwich released a moan of enjoyment. Kind of a small place. Looked like they also sell cuts of meat. Lastly, girrrrrrls, I think you’ll like the ladies room. Lots of cute cut-outs watching you do your business. Creepy?! Nah, it’s hot.
