Great store. We went there to kill some time and spent most of our time there looking through the postcards and photos section. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because although it is very well organized and the staff is very welcoming and helpful, it is a bit overstocked. I was nervous walking through tight aisles with antique China and crystal. Many items on the floor too that I was stepping over. But I did love the amount of history in there.

One of the most interesting antique shops I have ever been in. The staff is great as well. SC has been around for 70 plus years and it just keeps getting better. This is a must stop!

There is so much… sometimes too much… stuff packed into this place. In a good way though, in a way that an antique store SHOULD be stocked. It’s definitely a place where I can very easily get visually overstimulated. My favorite areas to browse are: –The huge selection of glassware and kitschy figurines when you first walk in. –Downstairs, there are stacks and stacks of old magazines separated by decade. I love love love McCall’s magazines from the 40s &50s, and I’ve found a few in really good condition here. –Towards the back of the first floor, there are thousands of categorized antique photos & postcards. For me, this is the best part of the whole store. There are lots of pictures of Akron & surrounding areas in their glory days. I could look at them for hours. I especially love the vintage Valentine postcards. It’s so interesting to me when they have actually been mailed, and you can read what someone wrote to their loved one in 1915. I may also be kind of a nerd about such stuff, whatever. –The people who work there are helpful, but don’t follow you around. They allow you to explore the store at your own pace, and don’t look at you as if they expect you to break/steal something. I appreciate this. Overall, a fun, non-uppity antique store to visit.

Driving by the outside intrigued me. I begged my friend to stop and we ended up staying for an hour and a half. Stagecoach is chock full floor to ceiling with antiques many of them breakable(not a place to bring young children) We enjoyed every minute of our time there. The basement that is book filled is haunted… but don’t let that keep you from browsing

This is a remarkable store in Akron. Chock full of everything under the sun, this store is as much an antique store as it is a museum of local history. Peruse the vast collection of items in this entire house and you’ll find things you never knew existed.
