Homemade food is the star of this diner on Canton Rd. The sign out side is always offering some yummy special — Thacker Burgers, Pulled Pork, Kraut Dog & Fries and changes frequently enough to make me stop by to try the food on the inside. The building looks small from the outside. Inside, 3 seats at a counter and 5 tables. You order at the counter, pay, then grab a seat and wait for your food to be prepared. They do carryout as well. The menu is a variety of burgers, hot dogs, pulled pork, home made meat loaf. Thick cut french fries like you get at the fair. 3-bean salad. Pepsi products. The menu is not lengthy, but there should be enough to choose from for lunch or dinner. Let me start with the cole slaw. It is homemade and reminiscent of the awesome cole slaw that Brendan Meeker used to make in downtown Akron(Yes, I once ate a quart of that cole slaw for dinner). Sue’s cole slaw is just as good. I’ll be back to try out something else and to get more cole slaw.
