A very mediocre meal and experience. I had chicken(the best part) and bland noodles. My hubby could barely eat his steak, because it was pretty fatty. It was a Saturday evening and we were one of three groups… truly like a ghost town. The most disturbing thing was that the employees had a cat in the restaurant. Yes, you read that correctly… a cat.

We’ve been here before a few years ago, but I’m uncertain if it was this owner and name. It’s a family restaurant in a modest shopping center. Saturday for lunch. The lady and I both got the turkey club sandwich and the(adult) daughter got chicken fingers and fries. The lady does not like toasted bread on her sandwiches. Almost unilaterally when she asks for untoasted bread it comes out toasted. Not here! A truly one in ten experience. My first stop was to the necessary room. What’s this? Ice in the urinals? At a family restaurant? The owner must have had some fine dining experiences in the 70’s! Nice flashback there! The turkey on the sandwiches struck one as carved off the breast, not gobble-glued turkey-mash. If not that it was at least high quality deli-style stuff. Thick sliced meat and bread alike, enough to make a three-decker club sandwich«tough to stuff.» The lady had broccoli and slaw as her sides, I had asparagus and slaw. Slaw was good as were the veggies. The asparagus was done grown-up-style doused with a bit of olive oil, salted and peppered and broiled. Nice touch for a family place. The broccoli was steamed, and neither veggie was overdone. Lady Jr.‘s chicken tenders platter was the most generous offering of tenders this diner has seen. They were true«tenders» the skinny flap from a full chicken breast. Apparently hand breaded as they were too sizeable to be a Sysco flash freeze product, maybe 5 by 2.5 inches each and an inch thick. And there had to be at least 7 of them! big enough that Lady Jr. had to tear them in pieces to consume them daintily and as she is a picky eater they must have been good as she ate all but half of one tender! Very reasonable prices and the service was good and friendly.
