Fast, friendly, and decent prices. Really impressed.
I was told by another tire place in Alameda that to get my tire patched up I would have to go to the dealership because I had run flats. Luckily I knew better and tried calling these guys. They told me to come right in. From the time I called to the time I drove away with a fixed tire, the entire process was under an hour.
That was a couple months ago. Since then, I noticed that the valve cap that was on that tire didn’t match the rest of the caps. Although they didn’t have the matching one (and who knows where it went … might have been missing from before then), they went out of their way to find something that was a close match, and then gave me a set of four of those so that I would still have all my tires match.
In this day, I so appreciated friendly and helpful service! These guys are it. Definitely recommend them.

I had a huge nail in my tire and went there right after work. I asked how long it would take because I had to go get my son & I thought I might walk over, get him, and return but the man said it would take 15 minutes for a patch. He was efficient, it took just about 15 minutes & when I commented that it was really fast, he said, «well you have to go get your son.» I thought that was really cool of him.
The place looks a little junky, but they really know how to work tires & I have had no problems since the patch, so I would suggest you go see them! They do close right at 5 p.m. so call before going!

So happy with their service. I have been very unhappy with the other options available in Alameda. I had heard good things and decided to give them a try. Quick service, helpful and knowledgeable staff. I was thrilled. This was a painless experience.

Went to take my dogs to the dog park noticed a nail in my tire drove over pulled right in got out of my truck and was greeted. Said I had a nail in my back tire they jacked up my car took of tired had me out the door in about 20 min $ 25.00 and was still able to get the dogs to the park. Thanks Steven

It’s a decent place with a bit of a funky, sometimes dicey feel. The service was fine but they don’t always have the size tires in stock.

Purchased 4 new tires off TireRack and had the drop shipped to my local Pep Boys. Was quoted a stupid amount to have them mounted so I tommy business elsewhere and so thankful I did.
I called Alameda Oakland Tire and Auto close to business close and asked for a quote. They told me $ 20 per tire with a 3.50 disposal fee for each old tire. This was over $ 100 less than what Pep Boys wanted.
Showed up the next morning at 8 am and was immediately taken care of. Took my daughter for a run in the stroller and received a call less than an hour later that my truck was ready to go.
Everything looked perfect. They didn’t damage the finish on my wheels. Steven was kind and respectful and overall I could not have been happier. Place looks a little sketchy but I assure you it’s top class customer service and quality honest work.

I love this place! There’s nothing fancy about this place, no waiting room, kinda grungy but the prices and customer service are excellent! I had to take in my 2007 saab turbo in for breaks as I thought I could get away with getting my rotors resurfaced, long behold they were to far gone. Anyway, I had to have the rotors and pads replaced! Personally I thought I was going to be spending way over $ 500 for this repair! It came out to be $ 327 with taxes! I was more than thrilled, I’ve been a long time customer here and will continue to come back. I used to take my car to another mechanic in Alameda and these guys were my secondary option, now they’re my first option to take my vehicles too since my other mechanic decided to go out of business is awhile back.

I have used this place successfully twice in the past, but my recent experience was weird.
Last week I called one day to see if I could bring my car in the next day for oil change and tire rotation. No answer, so I left my #. No return call. Not good, but I won’t run to Unilocal just for that. I call back Thurs, say I wanna bring it in Friday, ‘midafternoon.’ The woman I spoke to then asked someone else, and then asked me ‘what time?’ I said, 300, 330. So she says, ‘thats OK, but no later.‘
So I make sure to get there by 300, in fact a few min. early. Guess what? The shop is closed up tight, with a sign on the door: «Closed early for graduation.» Wtf?
I call them this morning, say I want to bring it in this afternoon. OK, no problem, anytime, the man says. Then I tell him about the Friday situation. He says, «yeah, they did close early.» I said, well I shouldn’t have been told to come in at 3 then. He asked me who I talked to, and I said it was a woman on the phone. He tells me, «you need to talk to her, there’s nothing I can do.» I asked him his position, and he said, the Manager. I honestly think I was speechless.
The Manager is telling a customer, «there’s nothing I can do»?? No apology, no attempt to take responsibility, no nothing. I mean this guy knows ZERO about customer service. I told him that I worked in Cust. Service for years, and that was a very poor, unprofessional attitude. He was still clueless, repeating that there was nothing he could do.
Wow.
I took my car in, anyway, only becuz I had a coupon. On the plus side, Julie in the office is super-​nice and had very good cust. service skills.

This place is fair, honest, and a great value. I came here with a staple in my tire that was too close to the sidewall to patch. Decided to get two used tires. They were inexpensive and the service was fast and friendly. Leaving the shop with my two new (used) tires, I noticed the ride was very loud and bumpy, but figured maybe there was more tread on these than I was used to, and it would even itself out. After driving on these for two months, it seemed to be getting worse, so I took the car back in for the mechanic to look at. He took it for a test drive and agreed that the tires had been put on with uneven wear, and put on two replacements right away with no questions asked for no charge. He even rotated all four tires for me. These people are honest, and really stand behind their work. I highly recommend them!

I had great, inexpensive, and fast service here! I would absolutely recommend them for anything tire related! Sergio checked my tire to see if it needed to be replaced. It did so he found me a used tire installed it on my car and checked the air pressure in all my other tires for $ 57! I am a satisfied customer!

It’s true this place looks a little dirty and sketchy but the people who run it are super nice and really do a great job. I will definitely be back!

bought a tire, and had it mounted. the price was pretty good. sergio did a good job.

I drove my car there this morning, with my flat tire in the trunk and spare tire already on the front left side. since the day before. 3 icons were already lit up on my dashboard after the spare went on — ABS, TPMS, and ESC lights. Not only did Sergio fix my flat tire and put it back on, he also checked out and explained these issues (which do not display on my dashboard now hurray!), plus he checked out and put air in all my other tires. All this and he did not charge me anything! This is definitely as good as it gets. I know how open some drivers are to being ripped off so I am writing this review on their behalf (female and car-​clueless like me). Thank you Sergio for taking care of everything just like that! I definitely recommend this place. The people in the front office were also very friendly. By the time I was ready to go, 3 more cars had pulled in for service, looked like repeat customers as they greeted one another by first names.

uhh yeaaaa.
They were nice and friendly! I came in with a flat tire, they took it off right away. But then tried to sell me a used tire at $ 60 that wasn’t even the right size! It fit, but it wasn’t the right width, so would mess up my 4wheel suspension and alignment and would just not be good. At first I was like would that work? I mean it’s a different width. The guy was like yea yea, and so I called someone who knew better who was like no way! I then asked the guy if he could tell if my jeep has independent rear wheel suspension. He looked underneath then of course was like oh yea no this tire won’t work. So weird.
Anyway, he had no problem putting my tire back on and filling it up with air so I could get to another place. Albeit, he filled it with so much air it was bulging and ready to pop by the time I got elsewhere.

Really fast and friendly service. Had the tires rotated today on my boyfriend’s car and got service with a smile. The mechanic noticed I had a screw in my tire as he was rotating them so I said to go ahead and fix it because I have to drive to Reno this weekend and don’t want anything bad happening on the road.
Upon a closer look he saw the screw didn’t go all the way through so he came over and said he wouldn’t need to patch it after all so I saved $ 25. He could have charged me and not told me that it was fine, but he didn’t. I love honesty. Have dealt with so many dishonest people in this business that it’s great to come across integrity. They’ll always get my business because of it.
I was in and out of there in about 20 minutes. Quick and kind.

At first glance, this place is a little rough around the edges. I think my exact words to my boyfriend were: «I don’t want to get murdered today». I heard about them through a friend and decided to give them a try when I got a screw stuck in my tire. Three removed screws later, they became my go-​to place for anything tire related. They charge less than any other place in town and do a fantastic job.
After getting an estimate at Big-​O across town for new rotors and brakes, I called Alameda/​Oakland Tire Brake and Muffler for an estimate. Their estimate was almost $ 200 less than Big-​O. I dropped my car off this morning and it was ready before the promised time.
I will definitely come here again and am very thankful for their excellent service and prices!

The first time I went to Alameda tire was when I had a leak in my tires. The service was SUPER fast and friendly and I thought of writing a review here but never got around it.
2^nd time was when I had another tire problem. I accidentally managed to pop off the air valve from my front right tire while parking my car. Took it to Alameda tire and I was in and out in no time.
3^rd time was today. I had to get a new cat converter for my 03 Jetta. Called them and Bob said the earliest they could have the parts ready was by Thursday. A few hours later Bob called me back and told me that he was able to get the parts today and told me to bring my car in. I gave them my car keys at 3:00 and it was ready at 4:05! Total cost for my Jetta with labor and tax was $ 420.00.

Bob was nice and friendly and everyone else in the shop was nice as well. So today, I made sure that I would write a review for them!
I plan to go back again because I will be needing new tires for my car soon.

I called big o tires, they quote me for $ 750
then I call Alameda Tire-​Break & Muffler, they quote me for $ 530.
They ordered the tires for me right away. ANd I got it done the next morning :)

I told them my car model, brand and year. So then they can find my tires… But instead, they ask for my tire size (ehhh… I don’t know, so I had to go online and check for them). WEIRD!!!

a month after i had my tires changed here, I got a flat tire. I went back and try to get it fix. They couldn’t find my record, since they do not have a computer system. I couldn’t find my receipt, so they won’t help me fix it.
I went home and found my receipt the next day, went back to Alameda Oakland Tire-​Brake, they said it wasn’t a nail. it was because my rim was too dirty… –_​-​’ shouldn’t they clean it when i got my tires change there?
So i had to buy another tire.
two weeks later, the same thing happen to another tire. I brought it to big O tire this time. same reason, my rim was too dirty (this just shows me Alameda Oakland Tire-​Break did not do a good job when i got my tires change from them).
