This is my favorite Bambu location! And I’ll tell you why. They’re open later than the others — midnight on weekends! Most Bambu locations close by 9pm or so. Lame. What if you had a che emergency or really needed a quick fix? Well, that’s where this location comes in. Not too far from where I live and always consistent, their drinks have the best flavor too. They have some specials here that I haven’t seen in other locations, like the Strawberry Basil Fruit Tea. It’s exactly as it sounds but with tons of beautiful basil seeds swimming about, my favorite drink here! Although I don’t get the che desserts much, you can’t go wrong with any # on the menu. When I pick some up for my mom, she usually has me get 3 #‘s. My friends really like their fresh smoothies and avocado is the best in our opinion. Just a quick review to say I appreciate this location! They have the best seating arrangement and board games here too. The other locations really can’t compare.

I am such a picky boba tea drinker and both the employees were so so so friendly and accommodating. They were like«there’s basically nothing we can’t make» and it was true! Ahhhh! Heaven in a cup exists! I got the Bambu Special but with coconut milk(instead of coconut water) and added pandan jelly and red bean. I will say that the longan(lychee) was underwhelming bc they were from a can but next time I’ll ask them to replace them with coconut meat or maybe boba! The boy helping me I think was named Kevin and he was the sweetest :) Highly highly recommended!

I haven’t ventured out beyond my comfort zone yet — so I always stick to the milk teas with boba. I’m a regular here and the boba has always been perfect. It’s never bland or soggy or under-cooked. They also give you the option to choose your milk — so I always opt for the fresh-pressed coconut milk. They don’t have any type of rewards/frequent visitor cards here. They say it may be in the works? If they do, I would rack up those rewards like crazy. Whenever I have a craving for boba, this is the spot.

Not all Bambu’s are created equal. This is my favorite location of all for various reasons. Food: Che 3 Mau(#3) is my favorite, but I also like #1, #6, #10, basically anything with red bean or coconut. I like the way they prepare my Che 3 Mau here because they give you a lot of the bean, which is usually the foundation. The beans are likely the«healthiest» part of these che dessert drinks, so it’s nice that they’re not just filling it with jelly. Another reason is because, I always ask for light ice, omit the ice, ice on the side. I do this so they can give me more of the actual che and less of the ice. Some places give you a ton of ice, which dilutes the dessert and it tastes like mostly water. These guys are good about actually listening to customer requests. Also, I love that they offer green pandan waffles! Super yummy and consistently made right. Customer Service: Above average. They listen to my requests, they’re friendly and conversational! Price: Same as all of the other places. Ambiance: Small, clean, they play great music(shoutout to the employees that play the 90s R&B). Good place to meet up or hangout with friends. Overall: My favorite of all the locations, so far I haven’t had any issues!

This is my current favorite dessert place in Alameda. Its a great place to take a small group of friends. Tables are round with two chairs but you can definitely fit more people on their cute window seat. The bathrooms are also pretty clean, which is always nice. As for what to order, I always get #3, it has enough beans for a whole meal and its covered in coconut juice. I definitely recommend giving it a try. Pandan waffles are also a great snack to share, and pretty cheap and healthy compared to the usual popcorn chicken. I come in whenever I have a reasonable excuse:) and the staff are always really friendly. There’s $ 5 minimum for card, which isnt generally a problem if you order more than one item.

Bambu used to be my favorite Asian dessert spot. I think it was one of those popular fads that’s no longer as hip as it used to be. Came in on a slow weekday, drinks came out less than 5 mins. The coconut milk tasted different, and I’m sure of I was digging it or not. Will be back again…

Came here on a late night with my friends! Clean cut boba place in Alameda with a nice interior but when it comes to the boba why is it so deathly sweet??? I got the passion in love smoothie with boba. The fruity flavor of the smoothie was delicious. I think the cashier said there was like passionfruit peach orange etc? Can’t quite remember but it was good. But when it comes to the boba… holy cannoli can’t I say SWEET??? The honey boba was so sweet it overpowered the entire smoothie. I felt like I was drinking straight honey and sugar. If I ever come back here I’m gonna ask if there’s a way to cut the sugar by at least half. My friends got the lychee smoothie with boba and the passionfruit tea and those were both super sweet as well. It seems like it’s just how their drinks are made but I recommend cutting the sugar. Please!

Got number 24 and a raspberry tea. They were good! The raspberry tea was kind of bitter but still good. The service was good, nothing to complain about since we came at a time that was not busy. Would definitely come back for more drinks and dessert!

Yummy tapioca drinks! If you’re craving milk tea, smoothies, or blended coffee, come here! In my humble opinion, Bambu is better than Quickly, as the drinks taste healthier! They have a vast assortment of delicious cold & hot drinks to choose from with a wide array of specialty condiments(e.g. tapioca balls, etc.). The only food item they offer is panda waffle. It’s made-to-order and comes out as hot, doughy goodness! Vibe: Casual. The décor is bright and modern. Minimal seating but ample electrical outlets, should you need to plug-in. Parking: Metered street. You can find FREE residential street parking 1 – 2 blocks away near the high school tennis courts. Service: Courteous, speedy, and efficient. Tips: They take credit cards with $ 5 minimum purchase. If you don’t like your drinks too sweet, you can order it less sweet. I ordered a Lychee Milk Tea with less sweet and less ice, and it was made to perfection.

Passion fruit smoothie, a refreshing balance of smoothie and slushie using real passion fruit! I could see the seeds ground up in it, adding a nice texture. Tart and sweet, a nice summer treat! It’s four bucks(or maybe 4.50?) tho.

I FINALLYGOTMYBOBACHERRYPOPPED…&& I ENJOYEDIT! **LOL** First time-4/5/15 Time-9:30P.M. Came here on a lovely Sunday after just having dinner with the ladies and they had a taste for some Boba to end the night. After I stated to them that this was my first time they both looked surprised! Oh boy was I in for a lovely treat! Ambiance: As soon as we walked it I noticed that the store was very clean and presentable. The menu was located on the wall on the left along with a nice size TV. In the back was the bathrooms and a couple of tables and chairs to sit down and enjoy. The customer service was amazing! The two workers were very helpful in having me taste some of the flavors as I had never experienced the taste before. I decided that the Milk Tea was a good choice for me. I ordered the Strawberry Milk Tea with pearls and I have to say that it was SOYUMMY! Why has it taken me SO long to finally taste this! UMM hello??? I also was able to taste their LAST waffle and since they make them fresh each day they didn’t plan to make anymore for the remainder of the night… I considered myself lucky that night! **Please note-They are closed on Mondays** They do have Happy Hour: Tuesday-Friday from 12P.M.-2P.M. they offer $ 3.00 smoothies and Milk Tea Thursdays from 6P.M.-8P.M.-Milk Tea Thursdays for $ 3 Caffeine Fridays– 6P.M.-8P.M. $ 3 Smoothie Saturdays from 6P.M.-8P.M. $ 3 They have great deals and cheap prices! You cant beat it! I cant wait for my next time to come back! This is JUST the beginning to my Boba experience! I now know I need BOBA in my life!

I must be a fan if I’ve been here twice in the past month. It’s open a bit later so a nice place for something sweet after a movie at Alameda Theaters which is right around the corner. They have their standard milk teas, smoothies and desserts in a cup. I like to keep it fairly simple and usually get the lychee smoothie with boba. The large boba balls are chewy and fresh and the smoothie is sweet and artificial tasting.

This has been bookmarked on my account forever, and luckily it opened in Alameda. I had high hopes for this place, it took me the longest time to decide what I wanted. But I finally decided to go with #2 on the menu. First off, I came in craving boba so that was one of the requirements. The cashier had reassured me that #2 would since it says pearls. Although, when I got my drink either they forgot to put it in, or pearls is another word for random jelly. Overall, my drink was decent, I am just bitter because it did not contain boba(pearls). I had also gotten the pandan waffle, and it was a bit too soggy for my taste.

If you are like me and don’t like Asian beans in your desserts, then get the #1 or #6! #1 is made with coconut juice and #6 is made with coconut milk. All ingredients that go into the dessert are super fresh! I like their pandan waffles with condense milk.

#1, 3, and 10 are the most popular drinks so i decided to try #10. #10HATLUUSUONGSAOBANHLOT($ 3.50) — 5STARS Red tapioca, grass and pandan jelly, coconut milk. Wasn’t a huge fan of the red tapioca which is like a tapioca pearl which isn’t fully cooked. The grass jelly is cut into strips. The pandan jelly is super jello-y and chewy and slightly sweet my favorite part of this drink. I loved it all. #3CHE3MAU($ 3.50) — 3STARS: Red, white, mung bean taro, pandan jelly, coconut milk. This is another one of their popular items, very bean-y. Good but just not my cup of tea. You can’t really go wrong here since you get to customize your drinks and the toppings are unlimited! I would encourage you try all the different ingredients and figure out what you like. My favorites are the pandan jelly(BEST ever), grass jelly, and tapioca. And the avocado smoothie is packed with fresh avocado and super delicious.

Found out that Bambu in Alameda was now open. Too bad we learned that after already eating a big lunch. Still, the family wanted to go so off we went to visit Bambu. #5 is my wife’s favorite. She was too full to try it here, but my Dad followed her advice. He absolutely enjoyed it! My nephew was pleased with his Thai Tea with Boba. I ordered the Soursop Smoothie with Passion Fruit Jelly. I thought it was okay, but the soursop tasted really old. I am used to eat tasting fresher in the Bambu locations located in Southern Cal. The atmosphere of the place was really nice though. Much nicer than the location in Cerritos, CA. Colorful interior with plenty of chairs and tables. Customer service was fine as well. Chances of returning here are very good. My sister and her family are already regulars.

As if I couldn’t love Alameda enough, now we have a BAMBU. YESSSSSSSS! I. Love. BAMBU. I have never had an issue customizing any of the drinks and all the ingredients(jelly, boba, fruit, etc) are always fresh. I love this particular location because the staff is serious about the dranks and the decorations are cute and there’s plenty of seating. My go-tos are #1, #2, #4, and #6…but like I said, you can customize your drink however you want whatever you want, so go ahead. Go crazy.
