Freya is an adorable little person who shows up at your house on her adorable little bike with her amazing natural products and makes your house look a trillion times better than it did before she arrived. She is in high demand — once you get a standing appointment you hang on for dear life.

Freya is wonderful! She did our initial cleaning today before starting up a regular bi-​monthly cleaning schedule, and holy clams the place is SPARKLING. I love that she uses eco-​friendly products (many of which she makes herself?), as I get migraines and am sensitive to harsh chemical smells.
She was ridiculously attentive to detail (she even vacuumed out the fan in the bathroom?!), and also super friendly and trustworthy. She was also on time, which I always appreciate. I’d recommend her to anyone!

I’ve used other cleaners in the past, and Freya is by far the best. She does a thorough job, has great attention to detail and is reliable. It’s such a pleasure to come home from a busy day at work to a wonderfully clean home. I’m bitter about losing her to Alameda, but I highly recommend her to anyone lucky enough to have her in your vicinity.

I am a clean freak but don’t like to clean. This catch-​22 I thought would place me in quite the unsolvable quandary. Simply put, I was wrong. Freya was recommended to me by a friend and at first I was skeptical because up until then I had hesitantly done my own cleaning, rarely to my satisfaction. Since the first time she cleaned my house, I understood that this a task best left to the professional, especially if you want your placed cleaned rather than things merely stuffed in drawers and other spaces. Freya does not approach her projects with a «out of sight, out of mind» attitude. Instead, she will work on figuring out exactly what you are looking for, and then accomplish that goal much better than you yourself had envisioned. Honestly, there is nothing I would change. In addition to her efficiency, vision and diligence, her environmental ethic (composed of biking to clients and using natural products) really sets her apart from the rest.

My wife and I hired Clean Conscious to do a deep clean of our entire house and we were very satisfied. She paid great attention to detail and we are going to hire her again.

Freya worked as my housekeeper for the past few years. She is the best I’ve ever had. Prompt reliable, trustworthy a great housekeeper with incredible integrity.

I found Freya and Clean Conscious housekeeping by word of mouth. I was moving and needed somebody to run a thorough «move-​out cleaning» for me. I work full-​time and moved mid-​week, so I needed more than a maid in Alameda. Somebody who could take initiative and get the job done without me.
Freya went above and beyond. She took housecleaning to a new, heretofore unknown to me, level. First, I liked that she showed up on her bike, stocked with only natural, safe cleaning supplies. If I had kids or pets, I’d appreciate her safe cleaning methods even more. Alameda is such a great biking town, I really appreciate that Freya is able to lower her carbon footprint by biking to clients’ houses.
Second, I know that a move-​out cleaning may not be the most complicated thing to ask of a housecleaner (the place was empty, after all), but Freya needed almost no direction at all. Freya just figured it out for me and cleaned my rental unit to move-​in ready specs.
Most importantly, I got my full deposit back on my rental. Thanks!

The fact that she is incredible at cleaning, bikes to your house and makes her own housecleaning products is just the beginning. Freya doesn’t just care about clean spaces. She cares about indoor and outdoor living spaces on a deep and genius level. We have hired her not only to clean, but to remake our basement into the type of magical place she creates wherever she herself lives. And we… were… thrilled.
Basically, Freya is the one you want to make your living space beautiful, on a regular basis, for a party, or because you want to sell it, or pretty much any other reason you can think of. And that’s not even to mention how green her services are, how economical and scrappy she is, or the fact that she not only understands the inside of your house, she understands the outside, because she also just happens to be unbelievable with plants. She is a home magician. Could not recommend her highly enough.
