Harbor Bay Landing Shopping Center

I mostly go to Safeway here and have been going here for the longest. It is a very out dated and don’t get me wrong but pretty cozy place to go after along walk and get some shopping done.
There is a Japanese Sushi Place located in the same lot along with a what seems to look like a new Hair Salon or maybe new owners.
Either way there is not too much to say about the place other than it is good for local residents.

I’ve a regular around the Harbor Bay center, mainly because of the Anytime Fitness around there. It’s always easy to find parking, and its close proximity to a Safeway makes it a no-​brainer when it comes to shopping.

Harbor Bay Landing, a destination shopping center? It is not. But as a neighborhood shopping center, it serves its purpose.
The shopping center, which is anchored by a Safeway and a CVS, serves the Harbor Bay/​Bay Farm Island area of Alameda. The restaurants include La Penca Azul, La Val’s, Angelfish, China Villa and Subway, and other businesses includes Harbor Bay Realty, Edward Jones, UPS Store, a fitness club, a dry cleaner, and a 76 service station.
There are vacant storefronts in the mall. Given the fact that Bay Farm is an affluent part of Alameda, Harbor Bay Landing has much more potential and the mall owners should do a better job to revitalize it.

Dated and tired looking neighborhood small shopping center. Could have potential because of its location and view of the lagoon. Has Safeway and CVS at each end. In between, there are a lot of vacancies. OK, there’s a dry cleaner, Anytime Fitness, Coffee Tea Traders, Angel Fish, and a Subway. Behind in the office park area there’s Le Val’s pizza, La Penca Azul Mexican, and a Chinese restaurant. But that’s it.
Too many empty storefronts for too long.

We live nearby and this shopping center is as convenient as it gets. You’ve got dry cleaning, groceries and reliable restaurants this close? What more could you ask for?

Nice shopping mall. But up to 3 years ago stores started shutting down. Now it has Safeway, CVS, Subway and few more stores. Not very clean. Good parking lot.

Nice local shopping center. Has a large parking lot that borders chains and local eateries. Safeway, CVS, and Subway are probably the largest anchors of this center. There are also smaller shops here too: coffee shop, optometry, real estate, and a shipping/​mailing center. Restaurants in the area are La Vals Pizza, La Penca Azul (branch of the main island locale), a Chinese restaurant next door, and Angelfish japanese restaurant. There’s a small gym here too and a pricey 76 gas station.
Next to the center is Leydecker Park and a local library that also have additional parking.
