With neck and shoulder issues, I’d been looking for a yoga class and instructor who took injuries and limitations into consideration. I found this in Tianna and the Mind Body Movement. She’s a PT and one of the most compassionate people I’ve ever met. She has small classes, knows about everyone’s issues and suggests modifications prior to the exercise. She made me feel that I could safely get back into yoga and I’m so grateful!

Mind-Body Movement Center brings together a rare combination of skills and talents, including not only physical therapy and individual yoga instruction, but also great listening and measurable progress toward goals for health, including energy, sleep quality, strength and weight loss. Tianna also shows genuine compassion and a great sense of humor. I always come away from a session feeling lots better than when I went in. With Tianna’s guidance, I’ve established a rewarding and safe daily yoga practice.

I am new to Alameda and was looking for a low impact class with a knowledgeable yoga instructor. I am an old guy that remains active and was not looking for a loud music, dance, leave exhausted and sweaty class. I dropped into Mind Body studio and found my yoga studio. Whenever I am in town, I go to class and leave feeling stretched out and energized. Tianna also rides her bike to class which makes her a winner. Do it.

Tianna is great! She runs a nice studio with a casual, friendly attitude. Also a plus is her physical therapy training which gives her knowledge of the body that your average yoga instructor does not have. This means she can modify your poses to meet your body’s individual needs. Classes are small and personal attention abounds … love her!
